“ปี 2557 เป็นปีที่ประเทศไทยเดินเครื่องเต็ม กำ � ลั ง ในการเตรี ย มตั ว ก้ า วเข้ า สู่ ป ระชาคมเศรษฐกิ จ อาเซียน (AEC) ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในปีหน้า กระผมในฐานะ ตัวแทนของสมาคมการจัดการธุรกิจแห่งประเทศไทย (TMA) หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าประเทศไทยจะสามารถก้าว ขึ้ น มาทั ด เที ย มประเทศต่ า งๆได้ ใ นเวที ร ะดั บ ภูมิภาค หนึ่งในพันธกิจของ TMA คือการ ส่ ง เสริ ม และพั ฒ นาขี ด ความสามารถใน การบริหารจัดการธุรกิจของผู้บริหารและ องค์กรไทย โดยสามารถต่อยอดผ่านการ ใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ (ICT) เป็น หนึ่งในปัจจัยขับเคลื่อนเพื่อยกระดับ ความสามารถของประเทศไทยอย่าง ยั่งยืน ด้วยเหตุนี้ TMA จึงได้ร่วม กั บ องค์ ก รด้ า นการบริ ห ารจั ด การ เทคโนโลยีของประเทศไทยในการจัด โครงการ “Thailand ICT Excellence Awards” ขึ้นทุกปี เพื่อเป็นรางวัลแก่องค์กรที่ ประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีและการสื่อสารในการพัฒนาองค์กรของตน ส่งผลดีต่อทั้งตัวองค์กรเอง และประเทศชาติ รางวัลนี้ได้รับผลตอบรับจากองค์กรต่างๆ อย่างดีเยี่ยม และช่วยสร้างมาตรฐาน ให้องค์กรต่างๆ พัฒนาตนเองและเพิ่มศักยภาพทางการแข่งขันให้กับประเทศไทยได้แบบทวีคูณ กระผมยินดีที่ บริษัท ที.ซี.ซี. เทคโนโลยี จำ�กัด (TCCT) ได้จัดทำ�นิตยสาร Techno Society ขึ้น เนื่องจากเนื้อหาและความรู้ที่เกี่ยวกับไอทีรวมถึงไลฟ์สไตล์จะช่วยเพิ่มพูนความรู้ให้กับผู้อ่าน เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการช่วยพัฒนาบุคลากรในประเทศเพื่อให้ก้าวเข้าสู่ AEC ได้อย่างเต็มภาคภูมิ” นาย กฤษณะ บุญยะชัย Chief Relationship Officer, สมาคมการจัดการธุรกิจแห่งประเทศไทย “2014 is the year that Thailand is accelerating at a full speed in preparation for ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) that is happening next year. As a representative of Thailand Management Association (TMA), I truly hope that Thailand will step forward and able to compete with other countries in international level. One of TMA’s missions is to support and to encourage the learning and sharing of practical managerial knowledge of Thailand’s executives. Moreover, the organization can be improved by using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to achieve their success. TMA therefore collaborated with technology administration and management organizations in Thailand to establish “Thailand ICT Excellence Awards” and set the event yearly to reward excellent organizations which applied technology and communication to develop their organizations. It also has advantage to country’s competitiveness. The Awards have been received a good feedback and also created an organization’s standard to enhance their competitiveness towards domestic and international competitors. I am glad that T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd. (TCCT) has launched Techno Society Magazine which its contents and knowledge are about IT and lifestyle can greatly benefit readers. The temperature is reducing gradually and winter is approaching us! This volume, Techno Society will bring you to experience Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. The purpose of my visit to Hong Kong was to be on behalf of TCCT to participate in IDC Safari 2014 in Hong Kong. Within the exhibition, there were providers of data centers, Cloud, ISPs, telecommunication providers across Asia Pacific including enterprises and TCCT’s strategic business partners: Asia Data Center Alliance (ADCA) which consists of members namely AIMS (Malaysia), 1-Net (Singapore), CMC Telecom (Vietnam), TCCT (Thailand) and HKCOLO (Hong Kong) who hosted ID Safari 2014. We also had an opportunity to have an exclusive talk with HKCOLO executive about its vision and mission. In this volume we will also take you to tourist attractions you cannot miss when you visit Hong Kong and also take you to dine out in famous restaurants as well. ADCA or Asia Data Center Alliance is an alliance of Asia’s leading data center services providers, consisting of: CMC Telecom (Vietnam), AIMS (Malaysia), 1-Net (Singapore), HKCOLO (Hong Kong), and TCC Technology (Thailand).

ADCA’s objective is a one-stop-shop of data center in Asia serving customers from industry such as governmental organizations, banks, and businesses. The alliance provides seamless cross border services to enterprises and service providers. This helps bringing innovation to the market and leverage local excellence and regional presence among alliance members. ADCA also seized the concept of “Green Data Center” to apply with members’ data centers. “Green Data Center Technology” can lead to lower power consumption and also reduced Green House Effect which results in problems of “Global Warming” at the moment and in the future.

More importantly, customers will gain direct benefit from “Cross – Border Data Center Services”, which allow customers to use services from members’ data centers remotely from anywhere either from the same country or cross bordering to other countries. For ADCA’s latest movement, TCC Technology (TCCT) as Thailand’s representative joined IDC Safari 2014 held in Hong Kong. TCCT joined force with ADCA members with TCCT’s potential as a Cross - Border data center services provider in the region. The services include Third Site or even Multiple Reginal Sites of data centers together with connectivity through strategic partners in Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. The services suit customers worldwide. TCCT and ADCA members also aim at developing new projects to embrace AEC 2015 which is coming very soon.

William อธิบายว่า “HKCOLO ถูกก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1999 ปัจจุบัน HKCOLO ให้บริการศูนย์ข้อมูล 2 แห่ง แห่งแรก อยู่ใน Sino Favor Center “Carrier “เรากลายเป็น Colocation Center” ถูกสร้างขึ้นในปี 1999 พื้นที่รวม 20,000 ตารางฟุตของ ต่อจากที่นี่ไปยังผู้ให้บริการ ที่น่ีถูกสร้างไว้สำ�หรับผู้ให้บริการเครือข่าย เครือข่ายในประเทศและ (Telco Carriers) โดยเป็นผู้ให้บริการใน ธุ ร กิ จ โทรศั พ ท์ ร ะหว่ า งประเทศสำ � หรั บ ผู้ ระหว่างประเทศรายใดก็ได้ ใช้ในฮ่องกง ณ ขณะนั้น HKCOLO เป็น ในราคาที่ถูกกว่า” “Neutral Access Point” ที่เป็นกลางราย แรก สำ�หรับผู้ให้บริการเครือข่ายระหว่างประเทศและระดับภูมิภาค และถือได้ว่าประสบความสำ�เร็จมาก ณ ศูนย์ข้อมูลแห่งแรกนี้เรามีผู้ ให้บริการเครือข่ายกว่า 300 รายที่เชื่อมต่อเข้ากับ Meet-Me-Room เรากลายเป็น Hub เชื่อมต่อจากที่นี่ไปยังผู้ให้บริการเครือข่ายใน ประเทศและระหว่างประเทศรายใดก็ได้ ในราคาที่ถูกกว่า ไม่เพียงแต่ เราจะเพิ่มทางเลือก “อิสระในการเชื่อมต่อกับผู้ให้บริการรายใดก็ได้” กับผู้ให้บริการ แต่เรายังสามารถช่วยธุรกิจขนาดกลางและขนาดย่อม ของฮ่องกงในการใช้บริการด้วยราคาที่ตํ่ากว่าอีกด้วย เราช่วยพวก เขาให้เติบโตขึ้นอย่างแข็งแกร่ง” ความสำ�เร็จของ HKCOLO เพิ่งจะเริ่มต้นขึ้น..... Telehouse Hong Kong Cloud Computing Complex: ความเป็น กลางอย่างแท้จริงสำ�หรับผู้ให้บริการ Cloud Computing 10 ปีหลังจากนั้น (ค.ศ. 2009) HKCOLO ได้ก้าวสู่ความสำ�เร็จอีก ขั้นด้วยการสร้าง Cloud Computing Complex ใน “Tseung Kwan O, New Territories” พื้นที่ 360,000 ตารางเมตร ในขณะนั้นถือได้ว่า เป็น “Telehouse Hong Kong Cloud Computing Complex” หลังจากมีการร่วมทุนกับ KDDI ซึ่งเป็นผู้ให้บริการโทรคมนาคมใน ญี่ปุ่นในปี ค.ศ. 2011) ศูนย์ข้อมูลแห่งนี้อยู่ในอาคารซึ่งมี HKCOLO เป็นเจ้าของ “จากการเดินตามปรัชญาของเรา HKCOLO มิได้ ให้บริการ Cloud Computing แต่อย่างใด แต่ได้มีการรวบรวมผู้ให้ บริการและให้บริการพื้นที่กับผู้ให้บริการ Cloud Computing สถาบัน ทางการเงินทั้งในและระหว่างประเทศ องค์กรภาครัฐ บริษัทต่างๆ ผู้ ให้บริการด้านแอพลิเคชั่นและโฮสติ้ง ผู้ให้บริการโทรคมนาคม ผูใ้ ห้ บริการ Internet Content และโครงสร้างพืน้ ฐาน เนือ่ งจากปี ค.ศ. 2014

แนวโน้มตลาดของฮ่องกงและแผนการขยายธุรกิจของฮ่องกง “แม้ว่าการใช้ดาต้าของฮ่องกงจะค่อนข้างตํ่าเมื่อเทียบกับการใช้ใน จีนแผ่นดินใหญ่ เนื่องจากจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่มีประชากรเป็นจำ�นวน มาก เป้าหมายหลักของตลาดในฮ่องกงยังคงเป็นกลุ่มผู้ให้บริการที่ ต้องการตั้ง POP และศูนย์ข้อมูลที่ทำ�หน้าที่สำ�รองข้อมูลของศูนย์ที่ อยู่ในประเทศจีน ฮ่องกงสามารถให้บริการด้วยความปลอดภัยที่มาก กว่าได้ ดังนั้นหากจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่มีเศรษฐกิจดีขึ้นเท่าไร ความ ต้ อ งการก็ จ ะมาจากจี น แผ่ น ดิ น ใหญ่ แ ละมายั ง ฮ่ อ งกงและเอเชี ย ตะวันออกเฉียงใต้มากขึ้นเท่านั้น นั่นเป็นสาเหตุว่าทำ�ไมการสร้าง “Neutral Gateway” ที่ครอบคลุมเอเชียแปซิฟิคและเอเชียตะวัน ออกเฉียงใต้ผ่านทางกลุ่มพันธมิตร ADCA จึงเป็นสิ่งที่สำ�คัญยิ่ง” William กล่าว For more information, please visit http://www.hkcolo.com TechnoSociety

จากการครํ่าหวอดอยู่ในแวดวงไอทีของ ไทยนับหลายสิบปี คุณนพดลให้ความ เห็นเกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านไอที และโทรคมนาคมของประเทศไทยถึ ง ความเพียงพอ และอะไรที่ยังขาดอยู่ใน ปัจจุบัน? “โครงสร้างพื้นฐานของประเทศไทยตอนนี้ มีผู้ให้บริการหรือ Provider สร้างมาเป็น จำ�นวนมาก แต่ผู้ใช้ (User) กลับได้ใช้ ประโยชน์น้อยมาก ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากผู้ให้บริการ หรือ Provider ต่างก็สร้าง Infrastructure ขึ้นมาเพื่อให้บริการ (Capacity) ในขณะ ที่การใช้งาน (Utilization) ยังไม่มากพอ ดั ง นั้ น ในความเป็ น จริ ง ประเทศไทยไม่ ได้ “ขาด” โครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านไอที และโทรคมนาคม แต่แท้จริงแล้วสิ่งที่ยัง ขาดก็ คื อ ความร่ ว มมื อ กั น ของภาครั ฐ และภาคเอกชน ที่น่าจะหันหน้าเข้าหา กั น แทนการแข่ ง ขั น กั น และลงทุ น ใน โครงสร้ า งพื้ น ฐานที่ เ ป็ น ประโยชน์ ต่ อ ประชาชน เพื่อให้บริการด้วยต้นทุนที่ ลดลงอย่างชาญฉลาด”

With Point of View on Thailand’s ICT Infrastructure as “Adequate” But why do Thais never fully make use of it? In Techno Society’s Lifestyle section, we had an opportunity to discuss and exchange viewpoint with Mr. Noppadol Punyatipat, a gentleman who obtained “Quality Persons of the Year 2013”. In the Hall of Fame of Information Communication & Technology granted by Foundation of Science and Technology Council of Thailand, Ministry of Science and Technology. He is a President of Infonet (Thailand) Group of Companies, he was an executive for many well known domestic and international companies in Thailand. Being an expert in Thailand’s IT industry for decades, Mr. Noppadol shared his opinion on Thailand’s IT infrastructure and telecomunication whether it is adequate and what is still missing at the moment. “Thailand’s infrastructure is currently offered by many providers. Unfortunately users rarely make use of it. This is because providers build infrastructure which results in capacity but the utilization is not much. Therefore in reality Thailand does not “Lack in” IT infrastructure and telecomunication. What is truly missing is the collaboration in government and private sectors. They should turn to each other and invest on IT infrastructure which will benefit people instead of having a competition. This is for services with smartly lower cost of investment.”
In particular for “Automated System” which in the past we witnessed the success of many system utilizations e.g. E-Revenue System by the Revenue Department. This is considered a revolutionary era of online tax form submission. This considerably helps provide convenience and saves time for people. The automation system also includes Car License Renewal at service points. All systems do not need “World – Class” guarantee but they should be practical with reasonable cost, according to Thailand’s His Majesty the King’s Self-Sufficiency.” “Moreover, Thailand still lacks in building innovations and commercializing them. The importance is governmental bodies must inspire both public and private sectors on these matters and support Research and Development to be more tangible. “Intellectual Property” is also significant.
Thailand should focus on copyrights and patenting including having non – plagiarism of idea, innovation, or technology from others.”

August 22,2014, Bangkok – Khun Voradis Vinyaratn (Mark), Executive Director and Acting Managing Director of T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd. (TCCT) officially achieved the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, recently initiated by Mr. Tsuyoshi Kawashima, President of NTT Communications (Thailand). Moreover, TCCT also donated to A.L.S. Association in the United States and ALS patients in Thailand via “Prasat Neurological Institute” and “Red Cross Society”. TCCT did not only celebrate our Ice Bucket Challenge, but TCCT also sent challenges to our 4 founding members of Asia Data Center Alliance (ADCA) who are 1-Net, AIMS, CMC Telecom and HKCOLO and all executives from these companies accepted the challenge.
