KING a.k.a. SAMPLEKING

Get Your Hands On

The spaniard DJ and producer King a.k.a Sampleking returns with a fresh Indie Dance anthem, “Get Your Hands On”. This track is a fusion of retro grooves, hypnotic basslines, and infectious rhythms, bringing a modern twist to the vintage underground dance sound.

“Get Your Hands On” is driven by a deep, rolling bass, funky synth stabs, and a catchy vocal hook that commands movement on the dance floor. The track’s pulsating energy and rhythmic flow create an irresistible groove, perfect for both intimate club sets and festival stages.

With this release, King a.k.a Sampleking continues to push boundaries in the Indie Dance scene, delivering a track that blends nostalgic vibes with contemporary production for a timeless, feel-good experience.

Founder of Riviera Underground and resident at The BPM Festival since 2008. He has shared the stage with artists like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and Marco Carola and was a resident at the iconic Blue Parrot club in Playa del Carmen.

As a producer, he has released music on labels such as Deeperfect, Toolroom, and 303 Lovers, with over 200 productions available on Beatport. In 2015, he was awarded Best Mexican Tech House DJ.

His international career has taken him across Latin America, Europe, and Ibiza, participating in showcases for Cocoon, Stereo Productions, and Deeperfect. Currently, he is a Pioneer DJ-sponsored artist and continues to expand his brand with events in Mexico and Europe.

How did your passion for electronic music begin, and what has been your journey?

My story with electronic music started in 1995 when I was 15 years old and played for the first time at Emporium Discoteque in Mexico City. I come from a family of musicians and have always had a special connection with percussion, which influenced my style.

I started as Deep-r, and after moving to Cancún, I adopted my real name. I was a resident DJ at Pacha Mexico, La Boom Cancún, and Blue Parrot, performing at international events since 2003.

I’ve played in countries like Chile, Spain, Italy, and Thailand, sharing the stage with big names like Carl Cox, Nina Kraviz, and Richie Hawtin.

My house sound, with tropical influences, reflects artists like Danny Tenaglia and Frankie Knuckles. This year, on July 18, I will perform at Ministry of Sound—a milestone in my career. Additionally, I run Riviera Underground and Downtown Tulum Radio.

What have been your biggest challenges in the scene?

At the beginning, it was hard to find opportunities, but perseverance and passion were key.

My residencies at Pacha, La Boom, and Blue Parrot helped me develop my style.

Currently, I have an annual residency at Tantra Ibiza, and through Downtown Tulum Radio, we connect with international DJs, strengthening the global scene.

How do you see the electronic music scene in Mexico and the Riviera Maya?

It has grown tremendously, with talent and innovative projects. However, in some places, commercial oversaturation has diluted its essence.

In the Riviera Maya, we aim to elevate musical quality through projects like Riviera Underground and Downtown Tulum Radio, creating authentic and high-level experiences.

How would you define your sound and creative process?

My sound blends deep house, tech house, and progressive touches with a strong rhythmic base.

I like to create sonic journeys with natural and immersive transitions. In production, I integrate tribal percussion and organic elements to achieve a balance between technical precision and emotional depth.

How have new technologies influenced your work?

They have opened up many creative possibilities. Although I use digital tools, I stay true to my roots in vinyl, which taught me to respect technique and the connection with the audience.

In the studio, I combine software with analog hardware for a warmer, more authentic sound.

What has been your most impactful performance?

On July 18, 2025, I will play at Ministry of Sound—a dream come true and the highlight of my career. It’s the result of years of effort and passion for music.

What’s the best and worst part of your daily routine?

The best part is living off what I love, sharing music, and teaching at the DJ Academy. The hardest part is missing important family moments due to work schedules. Still, I wouldn’t trade this path for anything.

What is the philosophy of Riviera Underground, and which artists have participated?

Riviera Underground is a serious curatorial platform with identity and international projection. Its sound is based on percussion and groove with Latin roots.

We’ve featured talented artists and continue attracting names with innovative proposals.

What does Downtown Tulum Radio represent, and what is your role?

It is a community where music connects and inspires. As co-founder and director, I oversee programming, artistic direction, and the DJ Academy, where I teach vinyl to preserve the essence of DJing.

What can we expect from you this year?

I’m working on new productions and major performances, like Ministry of Sound. Through Riviera Underground and Downtown Tulum Radio, we continue to boost the electronic scene with high-quality events and curation.

Every morning, I tell myself: ‘This is just the beginning.’

Carl Cox once told me: ‘If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will.’ And here I am, playing all over the world. Everything is within you.

TARDIY

is set to release his latest track, “Path,” a mesmerizing journey into the depths of Progressive House.

Known for his rich, atmospheric soundscapes and driving rhythms, Tardiy delivers a track that blends emotive melodies with a hypnotic groove, creating a powerful and immersive experience.

“Path” builds gradually with ethereal pads, pulsating basslines, and intricate synth layers, leading listeners through a sonic voyage of energy and emotion.

Perfect for late-night dance floors and deep, introspective moments, this release further cements Tardiy’s reputation as a rising force in the Progressive House scene.

LORAW, whose real name is Laura Bernhard, is a German DJ and producer set to become one of the most influential figures in the Hard Techno and Schranz scene in the coming years.

She began DJing as a teenager, and over the years, her talent led her to success in the European underground scene, particularly in Spain, France, and Hungary, as well as internationally in Colombia and Japan.

LORAW’s music is known for its powerful drums, relentless percussion, and haunting melodies. Her latest track, “Pachyderm,” released on March 14, pushes the boundaries of Schranz music, taking the genre to a new level. Released under Illusion Recordings, the label of the great Klaudia Gawlas, this hard-hitting track is part of the Rookie Selection 01.

@loraw_official

Loraw, what inspired you to produce Hard Techno and Schranz, two very distinctive genres?

Both genres share fast BPMs and powerful music. It’s a complex and diverse sound, and I love its intense groove.

Mixing it in a playful, wild, and crazy way is what excites me the most. There’s nothing more thrilling than this rich and multi-layered combination of both styles.

You’ve just released your new track, Pachyderm, on Klaudia Gawlas’ label. What makes this track stand out?

For me, the track stands out because of its powerful kick, rich in transients, but above all, its distorted, high-octave lead synth. The deep atmospheric soundscape and dynamic filter movements also play a crucial role in shaping its energy.

You have performed in Spain quite often, in places like Mallorca and Barcelona. What do you love most about the Spanish audience?

“Psy Schranz” is your latest release, published on March 29 under the label Hardtechno Bastards. What’s the story behind this track?

When I started planning my Japan tour in September, I was eager to collaborate with a Japanese Schranz artist. That’s when I reached out to TKG, a Schranz producer based in Tokyo.

He provided me with some one-shots and the track name, and I blended each sample with my own, created the arrangement, and mixed everything. I felt really inspired during the process and even used some samples from my own past collection.

Also, back when I was an 18-year-old raver, I had a strong connection to psytrance before Hard Techno and Schranz completely took over me. This track blends both worlds in a way that feels very personal to me.

You toured in Japan— how was the experience?

I love the energy that Spanish ravers bring to the dancefloor. They are completely immersed in the music and rhythm, and you can truly feel their passion while they dance.

I also enjoy their open conversations after my set about music and the fact that some people recognize me years later in different places.

Japanese ravers are truly connected, and I’ve known some of them for a long time. It was amazing to finally meet them in person, enjoy music together, and share incredible moments in their favorite clubs.

The energy there is unique, and their passion for Hard Techno and Schranz is truly inspiring. And, of course, Japanese food was pure paradise on earth!

Can you tell us about your upcoming EP, Voltage Circus, set for release on April 16 under the Portuguese label Kube Records?

This EP features two tracks: Voltage Circus and Control. While both have very different vibes, they allow me to fully express my artistic vision.

Voltage Circus is energetic and intense, whereas Control takes listeners on a more atmospheric and emotionally deep journey, helping them disconnect from everyday life.

With Control, I even managed to impress my twin sister, who usually doesn’t

like Schranz at all—right now, it’s her favorite track! That means a lot to me.

What are your plans for this new season?

I want to stay true to what has worked well for me while continuing to push my sound forward.

I’ll be focusing a lot on studio sessions, and in October and November, I’ll be traveling to Colombia—something I’m really excited about! Of course, my main goal remains the same: to keep making my listeners happy with lots of new music.

Nanika is a DJ from Siberia and the founder and resident of Tommy House Bar in Krasnoyarsk.

Her DJ career began in 2020, and since then, she has organized numerous events in her hometown, played at top venues across Russia, and taken her music to international stages such as Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, Pure Ibiza Radio, and Ibiza Global Radio.

Her sets can also be heard on Spanish radio stations like Who Electronic Radio, ClubAtlantic Radio Show, and Ibiza Organica Radio, among others.

What inspired you to pursue music? Who are your influences?

From a young age, I felt a deep connection with music. I studied at a music school where I learned to play the violin and piano. Six years ago, my husband Alexey and I founded Tommy House in Krasnoyarsk.

Through this project, I met incredibly talented DJs who inspired me to become one myself.

How would you describe your musical style?

My passion spans various styles, but I primarily specialize in House music, delivering an energetic and vibrant sound that creates a unique connection with the audience.

What key skills are essential for standing out as a DJ and producer?

Success in this industry requires passion for music, authenticity, and a unique identity. Staying updated with trends and always bringing something fresh and innovative is also crucial.

How do you stay up to date with the latest music trends?

I follow renowned DJs on social media and constantly explore new music on different digital platforms. This continuous search helps me discover emerging talent and innovative sounds.

What is your strategy for captivating the audience during your performances?

I carefully curate my music selection for each set, ensuring that I genuinely enjoy what I play. When a DJ truly loves their music, that energy naturally transmits to the crowd. I also analyze the audience’s reactions on the dance floor and adjust my selection accordingly.

And, of course, dancing and engaging with the crowd is key to creating an immersive atmosphere.

What do you enjoy most about being a DJ?

Seeing people’s happiness during my sets is the greatest reward. Knowing that the music I share can evoke emotions and create unforgettable memories makes this job incredibly fulfilling and meaningful.

Let’s talk about Tommy House Bar. What does this project mean to you?

Tommy House Bar is the most important project in my career and in my husband Alexey’s life.

It is the top club-bar-disco in Krasnoyarsk, a place where we have gained invaluable experience and shared unforgettable moments. For us, it’s more than a business—it’s our passion and our life.

What new events can we expect at Tommy House in the coming months?

This spring, we have planned special events featuring guest artists, and for the summer, we are organizing themed parties like the White Party, Full Moon Bloom, and Flower Power.

What are your professional and personal goals for this year?

This year, I will be performing at the White Party in Rostov, Russia, as well as confirmed shows in Ibiza and Tulum. On a personal level, I may be embarking on an exciting new chapter in my life—motherhood.

Finally, a message for our readers!

Live, love, and dance! Music and love have the power to change the world. See you on the dance floor!

His real name is Leandro Zeballos, an Argentine DJ based in Portugal. Founder of the Hardtool Vision Label, the producer has gained recognition in the music scene for his bold choice of combining Hard Techno/Industrial sounds with Schranz, receiving support and backing from numerous colleagues such as Kobosil, 999999999, Vera Grace, Kander, SPFDJ, and many others in recent years.

RÆKKE’s goal is to create a collective of artists from around the world to break away from trends and seek a sound similar to the Schranz from 15/20 years ago, one that stands the test of time. This idea led to the first release, published on April 4th, from the DJ’s label: the V.A. “Trash-Free Tracks,” a collection of ten tracks in which each producer can fully express their musical potential.

How did your passion for Hard Techno and Schranz music begin?

Techno has been a fundamental part of my life for years. My first approaches were through hypnotic sounds, but my perspective changed when I immersed myself in the underground rave scene in Buenos Aires.

I remember one night at an afterparty in San Telmo where I heard DJ Rush - Get On Up (Chris Liebing Remix) and One Night In Hackney by D.A.V.E. The Drummer & Chris Liberator. That experience left a deep mark on me and made me explore a more intense and energetic sound.

Over time, my transition was natural: I went from being a listener to a raver, and later to a DJ. Currently, my sound moves between Hard Techno, Schranz, and Industrial, and what fascinates me most about Schranz is its ability to transform any sound without losing its essence.

Tell us about Hardtool Vision, your record label. What do you aim to convey with it?

Hardtool Vision was born with the intention of creating music that lasts over time, away from the current trend of ephemeral releases.

I don’t seek to follow trends or focus on numbers but on producing music that artists can feel proud of and identify with in the long run.

Through the label, I also want to contribute to the Portuguese scene, supporting and

promoting emerging talents. My goal is to offer a space where the music is functional, fast, and raw, but always authentic.

The V.A. “Trash-Free Tracks” brings together several artists. Who is part of the project?

This project brings together international talents from countries such as Spain, Italy, Portugal, the United States, and Germany. Some of the notable names in the tracklist include DREY, X4MB3, BLOCKED RECEPTORS, EXILE, OGTS, BERBA PT, and CALDAS PT, along with my own contribution. All of us share the same vision: to produce music that withstands the test of time.

How did these collaborations come about?

Some of the artists I met in person, others I discovered at events or had been following for some time as a listener.

What is most important to me is that their sound fits with the identity of Hardtool Vision and the experience I want to offer as a DJ.

It wasn’t about filling a release but gathering artists whose energy and style added genuine value to the project.

Among the Spanish artists are DREY and X4MB3. How did you meet them?

I discovered DREY through his EP on MadMade, SveTec’s label. His sharp and raw sound caught my attention right away. As for X4MB3, I found him through Tekgen, a key Argentine label in the scene. His style evokes the classic Schranz from a decade ago while still sounding modern, which I find difficult to achieve.

Both represent different facets of the Spanish scene and have contributed great personality to the project.

Your track “Push Me” closes the V.A. What message do you want to convey with this production?

I wanted a strong closing, but not with gratuitous aggression. Push Me is in a middle ground between Industrial and Schranz, without fully fitting into either. Its essence lies in how different influences can transform a simple sound into something completely new.

I used a recognizable vocal, but processed it in a way that completely changed the track’s atmosphere. This is a nod to the culture of sampling and reinterpretation. The final result reflects my style: speed, intensity, and clear direction.

From Argentina to Portugal, what motivated this move?

The decision to move to Portugal was driven by the need for growth, both

artistically and personally. The Portuguese rave scene has grown significantly in recent years, and I found in it a space to develop.

Since I arrived, I’ve formed a strong connection with the local community and had the opportunity to play at key events and clubs like Spektroom in Porto and Gate 13 in the north of the country. I also participated in the first edition of the Gate 13 festival and will debut at the Sound Waves Festival in July.

Portugal now feels like home, and through Hardtool Vision, I’m not just building my own path, but also contributing to the growth of the local scene.

What are your projects for 2025?

Next year will be marked by great challenges and new releases. I am working on my first full-length album, with real collaborations, something I had been planning for a while.

As a DJ, my goal is to expand into Spain, Italy, and France, and debut in Latin America with key dates at important venues in those countries.

This year will be crucial for taking my music, my label, and my performances to another level. The passion that began years ago still drives me, and now I am more ready than ever to prove my potential.

Black Cadillac has a special twist: it features a vocal sample from none other than RIFF RAFF. HUSA discovered a hidden pack with the rapper’s vocals online and meticulously worked to create the now addictive hook: “Back to back in this mad black Cadillac.”

The fusion of Indie Dance energy and deep emotional depth creates a captivating contrast, making this version perfect for late-night club sets and immersive listening sessions alike.

With this release, Muza (RU) once again showcases her versatility as a producer, breathing new life into “I Will Always Love You” and delivering a remix that is both soulful and dance-driven. Get ready to lose yourself in the rhythm of this mesmerizing reinterpretation.

Joanna Dark is a DJ, producer, and choreographer with over 20 years of experience in music and performing arts. Based in Barcelona, her dance training has given her a unique connection to music, reflected in her dynamic and energetic style.

Her versatility allows her to explore various subgenres of techno, establishing herself in the underground scene and performing at clubs like Moog, The Garage of Bass Valley, and Ware Club, in addition to playing in several cities across Spain.

She has shared the booth with artists like Cristian Varela, Óscar Escapa, and Ramiro López, and has collaborated with both national and international radio stations, including her own show, Dark Drawer.

As a producer, she has released music on labels such as Black Codes, X-erie, and Rawness, and will soon debut on Drumcode, Planet Rhythm, and Sway, further solidifying her international presence in the techno scene.

You started your career as a choreographer and professional dancer over 20 years ago. How has this experience influenced your transition into electronic music and your performance as a DJ?

My background in dance has given me a strong stage presence, which has been essential for my performance in the booth.

The current scene demands a constant connection with the audience, and thanks to my previous experience, it comes naturally for me to convey energy and dynamism in every performance.

Your versatility allows you to explore subgenres like peak time techno, old school techno, and hardgroove. How do you adapt to these variations, and what attracts you to each of them?

My sets are often a fusion of these styles, as I don’t limit myself to just one genre.

I let myself be guided by the energy on the dancefloor and the crowd’s response at every moment.

For me, the most important thing is to create a smooth and immersive musical experience.

You have been a prominent figure in Barcelona’s underground scene, performing in iconic clubs like Moog, The Garage of Bass Valley, and Ware Club. What does being part of this community mean to you, and how has techno evolved in the city in recent years?

Being part of the techno scene in Barcelona is a privilege. The city is a global reference and provides an exceptional platform for artists in the genre. Over time, I have seen positive evolution, with a growing offering and more spaces dedicated to underground music.

Throughout your career, you’ve shared the booth with renowned artists like Cristian Varela, Ramiro López, Óscar Escapa, Spartaque, and Lander B. What have you learned from these collaborations, and how have they influenced your artistic development?

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is humility. Most of the big names in the scene are approachable and professional. Besides the artists mentioned, I’ve had the chance to share moments with figures like Horacio Cruz and Umek, who stand out not only for their talent but also for their great human qualities.

In addition to your live performances, you’ve worked in radio nationally and internationally and launched your own show, “Dark Drawer.” What motivated you to venture into this medium, and how has the audience responded?

Radio allowed me to approach techno from a different perspective and create a platform to promote outstanding artists.

It has been an enriching experience that has helped me connect with a global audience and deepen my understanding of the scene from a different angle.

Recently, you’ve stood out as a producer, releasing work on labels like Drumcode LTD by Adam Beyer, Planet Rhythm, Sway by Hertz, Black Codes by Cristian Varela, and Rawness by Óscar Escapa. How has this transition to production been, and how does it differ from your work as a DJ?

Production and DJing are distinct disciplines, and not all artists manage to master both.

However, today, it’s essential to combine both aspects to expand one’s career.

Being a DJ allows you to build an identity in the local scene, while production is a window to the world and a crucial tool for professional growth.

In 2023, you were recognized as one of the leading figures in techno in Barcelona. How do you manage this responsibility, and what advice would you give to new generations looking to make their way into electronic music?

It’s an honor to be recognized within the scene, but it also carries great responsibility.

My advice to new generations is to progress with patience and dedication, without trying to skip essential learning stages.

It’s important that music remains a passion first and foremost, and that professionalism comes naturally as a result of consistent and genuine work.

Looking to the future, what projects or collaborations do you have in mind, and how do you see your career evolving in the next few years?

I will soon release a solo track on Black Codes with a remix from Cristian Varela, which represents an important step in my journey.

There are also several ongoing projects that I can’t reveal yet, but they will undoubtedly bring exciting new opportunities and challenges.

Solomun Extended Set

The Robinson

José Luis Cruz Serrano, artistically known as DJ Reff, is a DJ from Ciudad Real with over 25 years of experience in the music industry.

His career has been defined by constant evolution, eventually moving to Ibiza to reach new milestones in his journey.

In the “White Island,” he has solidified his presence in the electronic scene, standing out for his underground sets that span genres such as deep house, indie, tech house, and nu-disco.

He is a resident at Ibiza Global Radio, where he hosts the program “Deep Paradise”, offering his audience a carefully curated

selection of high-quality electronic music. Beyond his work on the radio, he has participated in various events and festivals, sharing the stage with renowned artists from the electronic music scene. His style is characterized by a meticulous music selection and refined technique, the result of years of dedication and passion for music.

DJ Reff continues to explore new sonic frontiers, staying up-to-date with the latest trends, and actively contributing to the growth of the electronic scene in Ibiza and beyond.

Between 2020 and 2023, the electronic music scene experienced significant transformations globally, especially in Ibiza. From your experience, how did you live through this process, from the lockdown to the current “normality”?

Hello everyone! At the beginning, the pandemic was like a reset for the entire electronic music industry. New DJs emerged, new events took place, and there was a lot of change. However, over time, everything balanced out again. Only those who work with dedication and commitment manage to establish themselves.

For me, the key is to maintain the passion for music, collaborate with other artists, and build connections, no matter the circumstances.

Let’s talk about your origins, both personally and professionally. How did you get started in music?

Music has been part of my life as long as I can remember. My father was a DJ and manager of several clubs in central Spain, especially in Ciudad Real.

From a young age, I was immersed in this environment, surrounded by music, DJs, and club culture. Although I once dreamed of being a footballer, music always attracted me and made me feel whole, so I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps. I started my journey in music at 12 years old, and today, at 45, I’m still fully committed to this passion.

What motivated you to pursue a career as a DJ?

Music itself. I love seeing people enjoy, smile, and dance. The positive energy that is created on the dancefloor is indescribable, and that’s what motivates me every day.

What are your main musical influences?

I admire many DJs, regardless of their recognition in the industry. There are emerging artists with incredible talent. If I had to name a few, I would highlight Luciano and Cristian Varela.

You’ve developed a solid career in Ibiza, especially with your radio show “Deep Paradise” on Ibiza Global Radio. What is the main objective of this space?

The purpose of Deep Paradise is to offer quality music to a discerning audience. As a DJ, music selector, and host, I always aim for pieces that have depth and authenticity.

Moreover, the show has a focus on supporting new talents, providing visibility to emerging DJs who deserve to be heard.

Recently, we’ve implemented a B2B format where we improvise sessions with our guests, which creates a fresh and exciting dynamic for both us and the audience.

What strategies do you use to captivate and retain the audience of “Deep Paradise”?

The key lies in the music selection. Throughout my life, I’ve developed an ear that allows me to identify quality sounds.

I also aim to maintain a balance between professionalism and closeness, which creates a genuine connection with the listeners.

DJ, promoter, and radio director with over two decades of influence in Ibiza’s electronic music scene.

As a key figure at Ibiza Global Radio, he has helped shape the station’s evolution and its impact on the music industry.

He is the founder of Paredolia, a project born in Tulum with an international presence, and co-founder of Nido and Supernova, events that have solidified his musical vision in Ibiza, with residencies at Las Dalias and Akasha.

His talent for discovering new music and his versatility as a DJ have taken him to perform at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs and festivals, including Burning Man.

Always at the forefront, he continues to innovate and adapt to new trends, remaining a key figure in the global electronic music scene.

As a prominent figure in Ibiza’s music scene, you have played a key role in various institutions, projects, and media related to electronic music. How would you describe the evolution of this genre on the island from your beginnings to the present day?

Electronic music in Ibiza has undergone constant evolution, which is essential to avoid monotony.

When I arrived on the island in 2000, Funk, Soulful House, and tribal sounds were predominant. Over time, these evolved into Techno with Trance and Progressive influences. Later, Minimal took over, dominating the scene so much that even the beaches were filled with tracks from labels like PokerFlat.

A Downtempo and Organic wave followed, leading to today’s scene, where sociallydriven Techno, Tech House, and Afro House reign in Ibiza’s DJ booths.

Throughout the years, there has always been a wide diversity of styles. In the late ’90s and early 2000s, Psychedelic Trance was a full-blown culture, while today, Minimal House and Micro House with Romanian influences, as well as Indie, have found their place. Ibiza is an “island of islands,” with room for multiple genres—the challenge is knowing where to find them.

Between 2020 and 2023, electronic music has experienced significant global changes, which have also impacted Ibiza. How have you experienced this process, from lockdown to full recovery?

It has been a general reset, and we are still trying to understand what new generations demand and how they coexist with the existing clubbing audience. Personally, it was a period of analysis and project restructuring— an introspective phase necessary to assess our adaptability to industry trends.

What inspired you to co-found Paredolia, and what is its main goal?

This and other projects emerged organically, without a predefined strategy. Paredolia was born in Tulum, Mexico, before the pandemic, and it has traveled worldwide with sessions in Shanghai, Dubai, and Amsterdam before settling in Ibiza with a residency at Las Dalias. This later led to two more initiatives: Nido and Supernova, which I co-promote on weekends at Las Dalias and Akasha. I have always wanted to organize daytime events since dancing in the early evening is a much healthier experience.

You juggle multiple roles in the industry as the radio director at Ibiza Global Radio and as a DJ/artist. How do you balance them?

It’s not easy, but I feel fortunate to do what I love. The good thing is that each of

these roles is complementary, allowing me to enjoy them all without one interfering with the other. Radio has always been my passion, and I do it effortlessly, while DJing and traveling keep me in direct contact with the audience—an essential part of my artistic growth.

In your daily routine, what aspect of your work is the most rewarding, and what is the most challenging?

The most rewarding part is the emotional connection music creates with the audience and the ability to craft memorable experiences. The biggest challenge is the lack of time and space to accommodate the many emerging artists seeking opportunities. What criteria do you follow when selecting music for your DJ sets and radio programming?

I am fortunate to receive promotional material from nearly all electronic music labels. Every day, I receive over 200 tracks from various styles, so I have developed an efficient filtering system.

First, I assess the cover art, the presentation of the submission, and the language used. If it passes this initial filter, I analyze the rhythm section, bass, and BPM within a few seconds. Only tracks that stand out for their originality and emotional depth make it to my final selection for my DJ sets and Ibiza Global Radio’s programming.

How has technology influenced your workflow?

It has changed it completely. I started my career with vinyl records, and over the years, I have incorporated responsible use of new technology. I try to stay upto-date, although sometimes innovation moves faster than I can keep up with!

Throughout your career, is there a performance that stands out as particularly significant?

Without a doubt, every performance at Las Dalias and Akasha is special to me. I feel completely in sync with the environment, the sound, and the audience. I also enjoy festivals a lot, but if I had to highlight one event, Burning Man has been one of the most epic experiences of my career.

How do you perceive the current state of the electronic music scene in Ibiza?

Vibrant, professional, and full of potential. Ibiza remains a global powerhouse for electronic music, despite the lack—if not complete absence—of institutional support.

Let’s talk about Ibiza Global Radio. With the new season approaching, what updates do you have planned for summer 2025?

We are working on a programming format revamp. Twenty years ago, we pioneered the 24/7 DJ and session concept, and now we aim to lead the next era of music consumption.

We will focus on a more digital approach, with short, direct content tailored for social media. Exciting changes are coming—stay tuned!

With summer also comes your annual Ibiza Global Festival. Can you share any details about the 2025 edition?

We’re already on our fourth edition! This year, it will take place on July 4th and 5th at S’Arenal Beach in San Antonio, with free entry. It’s a unique event—an unmissable opportunity to enjoy the best electronic music in a stunning setting.
