Re-Wild Your Water

Kangan water is possibly the healthiest restructured water available on the planet. There are a range of machines and products available to suit all countries, interest free terms (conditions apply) and Enagic’s distribution network is global making it easy to get a machine in your home in virtually any country!

“The world is using almost 500 Billion plastic water bottles every year, the majority of which end up in our landfills and oceans. Transforming ordinary tap water into structured, hydrogen rich, electrolysed reduced water essential for health and wellbeing is the answer to this staggering problem.”

“Our Earth is a giant container of water, from which all forms of life arose. And every living thing is itself essentially a container of water. Like the Earth, we are 70 percent water. It follows, naturally, that the health of the Earth is directly proportionate to the health of ourselves.”

“Not only does drinking and utilising Kangan water for cleaning and toxin removal purposes create a healthy life, there’s a unique business opportunity that allows people to live a lifestyle that is financially rewarding as well.”

Ed’s Letter

2023 is flying by and initiating many changes here in Oz and also overseas. The whole world stands on the brink of change. Is it a good change or a bad change? That is the million-dollar question.

On the surface, it seems we are becoming more and more divided; from the family group right up to the people who are running this country, supposedly for the betterment of all Australians. Unfortunately, we, the little people, don’t get to see what the bigger agenda really is, until it’s too late. And that, my friends, is the biggest problem of all!

which is creating more angst between people. This division is being created and promoted by our Government, attacks the very heart of the people.

As the Editor of a magazine, fighting financially to survive, we could have taken money from the Government to support and promote the Yes vote, yet that didn’t feel right. Supernal is dedicated to finding a balance and offering information, rather than telling people what to do. Especially on a topic like this.

Our role is to provide a balanced argument and promote discussion where possible. We all have our personal ideals and thoughts, which we can, and do, share and we at least try to back our discussions up with links and facts.

Expect Magic - Loving Emptiness (or) Resonance (?) • Divine Time - Time to Align – The Journey! Wild Gaia – The Elder, Her Student, Our Journey! • A New Earth Now – The Uninvited Feminine

The Voice is just one example. Australians are heading to the referendum on Saturday October 14; a significant day in Australian history! Sitting in the wings, watching and listening to everyday people, the divide is wide and it’s passionate.

Trying to make sense of it all seems easy enough. Do we want our indigenous peoples to have a voice in parliament? The simple answer is Yes, yet it begs the question, don’t they already? Some say yes, some say no!

If you vote No, there is a sector of people saying No voters are racist and don’t love this country. The arguments for both sides continue

The Government is providing a lot of facts, with no depth of what the end game is, or will be, for the Australian people. There is no transparency! As with previous referendums, the subject of the vote more often than not passes yet the resulting aftermath would have affected our vote, had we only known the full story.

Deputy Editor, Freya Sampson, has penned a detailed story for the Page 11 News, full of links to videos, stats and other information. However, it’s the question at the end that provides the Full Stop moment. Freya simply invites readers to do some detailed research on what a Yes or No vote really means for the peoples of Australia.

A Letter from the Editor
6 Supernal Magazine Supernal Magazine 6
Anthony Kilner

Freya, also asks us to look at the agenda behind the Governments who rule this country. Are they really working for the betterment of all people in this country or for their own agenda?

It’s time to change the government system, whereby the people elected to run this country, like any business, are held responsible for the damage they cause. To be accountable for the avarice and lies, from Councils to Federal Parliament. We need to put a stop to the corruption that is hurting everyday Australians!

Either way, a vote Yes or No should not see passion alienate or destroy friendships. We should be closing the gap and creating a better Australian society in which we can all live and, have a voice and be heard!

Sacred Odysseys

In this issue of Supernal we explore a range of Sacred Odysseys from some very different angles. The interesting point about many of these stories is they have a common thread; ‘heart opening and emotional’ experiences. We could take a lifetime to explore the sacred sites this planet has to offer, in conjunction with a lifetime to understand our own personal journeys.

Vanessa Leigh, with her first story for Supernal, heads to the UK, on a journey that explores the challenges involved to become empowered in ‘Sacred Journey of the Heart’ Pt I on Page 20. Other first time writers are Christian Gomis, who uncovers his ‘Memories within

Avebury’ on Page 34 and Joseph Estate’s beautiful story of ‘Walking with Dad’ on Page 30.

Louise Clarke opens up the world of ‘Walking as an Art of Healing’ on Page 26, while Freya Sampson delves into the essence of ‘Spiritual Journeying’ on Page 16 with some exciting news. Our graphic artist, Lia Estate, adds yet another quirky read with ‘The Spirit withinWe are not Alone’ on Page 38. ‘The Journey to Volunteering’ on Page 44 covers my experiences in India, while Don Tolman goes bananas on Page 54

As usual this issue has some thoughtful columns and potentially challenging stories and we know you will enjoy them, as you discover all about the journey within and without on Sacred Odysseys!

Quote of the Month

“Well, it’s all right, even if you’re old and gray Well, it’s all right, you still got something to say Well, it’s all right, remember to live and let live Well, it’s all right, the best you can do is forgive.”

Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty formed the Traveling Wilburys in April 1988, continuing as a quartet after Orbison passed away December the same year.

Harrison and Petty are now also adventuring in the world of spirit, no doubt continuing to inspire us here on Plan-Et Earth to live our best lives, understanding that human incarnation is a ‘travel log’ filled with uncertainty and surprise.

The name Traveling Wilburys came from Harrison jokingly suggesting how to deal with recording errors caused by faulty equipment.

“We’ll bury ém in the mix!”- A ‘sound’ piece of advice to take on board when we are feeling at a loss, inadequate or plagued by uncertainty whilst dealing with certain situations and outcomes. Just say to yourself, “We’ll bury ‘em in the mix!”

We find ourselves at a critical juncture in Australia’s history, for more reasons than appear on the surface.

The Voice: A proposed body of 24 elected persons, selected by Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders to represent them, by providing advice to the Australian Parliament in relation to First Nations people. They would hold no power to make policy or law.

Only about 3 per cent of our nation’s population is Aboriginal, so your educated vote means a lot to them. Aboriginal Population:

It would be fair to say, that generally the Australian populous are good at heart and wish for our First Nations people to become more empowered in our community. The controversy around The Voice being the appropriate way to create this is enormous.

This referendum, which Australia’s Prime Minister Mr Albanese claims is intentioned to unite Australians, has done the opposite. Tensions are high between Aboriginal spokes people, Aboriginal people themselves, politicians and we, the rest of the Australian people.

The Voice – Yes/No

To attempt to unpack this tangle I’ve consulted with, and listened to, several Aboriginal Elders, Aboriginal friends, as well as read and watched several articles and news pieces on The Voice. As an example Watch Bruce Alexander explain Vote No to The Voice HERE:

Interestingly, all the Aboriginal people that I’ve heard from, say, ‘No.’ I point out that they are not politicians.

Even the opinions of Aboriginal politicians and government workers are divided. 60 Minutes - Will The Voice to parliament fix First Nations Issues? In contrast to the comments in this edition of 60 Minutes, NZ situation is vastly different in land mass and population. Māori people are 17% of 892,200 people. There are around 100 Kiwi (countries) in Aotearoa. For these reasons its situation cannot be accurately compared to that of Australia.

You may be asking, ‘Why on earth the division? This whole referendum is supposed to give Aboriginal people a voice!’ Numerous points were raised independently, with many of the same issues; as follows:

1. Have people read the Uluru Statement? All Australians should read the Uluru Statement from the Heart; all 26-Pages, not just the one page poster. Our Prime Minister, Mr Albanese, has read only the cover page. Peta Credlin of Sky News Australia reports thoroughly on the Uluru Statement from the Heart HERE:

Documents referenced in Peta Credlin’s Report: National Indigenous Australians Agency Document 2223 - Official Record of the Deliberations of the Referendum Council Process: 112-pages, which culminated in the 2017 Uluru meeting, which issued the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

NEWS
10

2. What is the Australian Government’s (AG) real agenda here? Why are they pushing a ‘Yes’ vote by funding people to campaign for a yes vote? Voice campaign funding claim shortchanges the fact.

3. True Aboriginal Culture is not accurately portrayed by AG or media and never has been.

4. Before ‘settlement’ there were 700+ language groups or Aboriginal countries in Australia. Each country had its own leaders, wise people, political structure and laws. This remains true for those that survived the ‘settlement’. Today there are around 350 remaining.

8. In 1967 the AG, passed a law through referendum, to make Aboriginals ‘people’ no longer possessions, ‘chattel’ of the pastoralists. They could be equal to white people by way of income, voting ability and be counted on the census, yet remain part of the native ‘flora and fauna’ in the original Australian Constitution.

9. The result of this wonderful inclusion was that Aboriginal people lost their homes, jobs, access to cultural lands and sacred sites. Then, through what is known as the ‘The Stolen Generation’, they lost their children, who were taken into institutes, where they were physically, mentally, emotionally, sexually and spiritually abused.

10. In 1973 Australian’s Constitution was changed, without public knowledge or a vote, which is unlawful. To do this, two legal fictions were invented: A Queen of Australia and Parliamentary Sovereignty. Now each government department and each state in Australia has an ABN and is operating as a corporation under a new constitution or ‘corporation rule book’. The ramifications of this are extremely serious for Australia’s inhabitants of all bloodlines, not only our First Nations people. ‘We Cannot have law over Lore’, states Grandmother Mulara, who is an Aboriginal Lore Woman and who also has a Law Degree. She explains it simply and clearly in this 6 minute video.

5. Non-Aboriginal Australians have a hard time conceptualising Australia as multiple countries, due to cultural misappropriation and suppression by the AG. To get a clear perspective, think of Europe and the EU - all different countries, all different languages.

6. To truly have ‘The Voice’ there would need to be a leader from each Aboriginal country consulted and also they would have to be members of the parliament under the original constitution.

7. The AG doesn’t want that, because it would far outnumber the current parliamentarians. Would the populous of Australia want that? If not, is a Yes vote in the referendum truly authentic?

To put things in perspective, Australia has been operating under unlawful governance since 1973. This includes every election, vote, court decision, all legislation and law instituted since that time.

This means that a Yes vote would put First Nations Aboriginal people into the new unlawful constitution or corporation. This would cede their Sovereignty.

11. Referendums with a Yes/No vote to date, have not had real positive outcomes for First Nations people. Illustrated by comments such as this, “If this ‘equality’ Yes vote worked so well back then, why is it that I have a two bedroom

11 Supernal Magazine news

home for six people, including two Elders and other family members living in it. We have no living rooms plus a caravan illegally parked for another family member, all of whom don’t have and can’t get housing?” – WJ - Aboriginal Elder

12. Gary Foley, Aboriginal Activist of the Gumbaynggirr people and a history professor had this to say in an interview back in January this year. “The only thing that this referendum will do, if in the unlikely case it succeeds, is make white people feel good.” Read the Interview HERE:

13. A major concern is the ‘Virtues Signalling’ that the AG’s ‘Yes’ campaign delivers. Tugging at the heartstrings of Australians and our collective shame at the treatment of our First Nations Traditional Custodians. This would be wonderful if there were not so many historical challenges over referendum outcomes for First Nations people. It would also wonderful if the vote was on the Original Constitution and did not cede the First Nations people’s Sovereignty to an unlawful government corporation. Sonic Nomad has this to say on. The Progressive No: Why would Aboriginal people possibly be against a voice to parliament?

14. *I would preface the next topic raised by saying, ‘I personally support all freewill gender choices, gender change choices and marriages of healthy adults, with the only exception: those who are mentally unstable and minors.’

Off the back of the last referendum on same sex marriage, what appears to be a global political agenda of paedophilia normalisation is occurring, with the attempted normalisation of this predatory behaviour softened with the term ‘minor attracted’. In Australia specifically, it is claimed that, buried in the same sex marriage legislation, are provisions that allow schools to action the gender change of a minor without parental consent. This has been instituted in Victoria so that, if parents object, their children can be removed and put into government care. If actualised, this has an all too familiar potentiality of the Stolen Generation ring to it.

Victorian Government Allows

Without Parental Consent:

Gender Transition

How Schools’ Transgender Policies are Eroding Parents Rights:

15. With respect to our multicultural population and our collective will to do good, I wonder how can our nation possibly make an informed vote, when Australia’s colonisation history and Aboriginal Culture has been white washed since ‘settlement’?

“We’ll have the newly naturalised Brazilian, Chinese etc, voting on Aboriginal people’s future, when they’ve only been here 5-minutes

12

and know nothing about our Aboriginal Culture… - God Bless you all and welcome to the country.” - WJ

Another hot topic on social media relating to the referendum: William Bay recently claimed to have had the Referendum Booklet passed as ‘Unconstitutional’ in the QLD High Court. Court Documents HERE:

However, there seems potentially, there was confusion around the meaning of the documentation he received and that is not the case.

A further debate between Grandmother Mulara and William Bay on these conclusions happens tonight via Cafe Locked Out: Watch the Debate HERE:

If you really care and are not looking for a ‘pill to pop’ to stop the guilt of our nation’s genocidal history and continued suppression of it, then perhaps it’s time to pause listening to MSM, the AG/politicians and big companies such as Qantas, who campaigned and virtues signalled Australians at the last referendum too. Check the article HERE:

Maybe engage in listening to the people who really count The Aboriginal people and the people who have made investigating the full scope of these matters their priority. Seek out and listen to more of the voices of the Aboriginal Elders and people speaking out on The Voice, over and above those referenced in this article before you decide on your vote.

There is enough time if you really care.

Numerology

September October 2023

Some stand out numbers influencing us all during September and October 2023 are as follows: 9 - Completion, 1 - New beginnings, 10 - Destiny wheel, 7 - Look up not down, snakes and ladders, 8 - Epiphanies, infinity and growth, 11 - Divine providence, wake up, illumination and support, I’m still standing, and 2 - Prayers to the Divine Mother, remember to utilise your intuition, instinct and integrity, be kind yet firm.

September the 9th month, often brings completions and is time to ‘clear the clutter’ in the home, and your mind. Allow yourself some expansion over September. Investigate and ponder, what you would do if you felt truly free and unencumbered. Dare yourself to imagine it without consequence. Letting go of judgmental thoughts, and work on releasing yourself from feeling judged by society – step out and shut the cell door, throw away the key. This can be scary yet exhilarating.

October’s new beginning 10/1 offers ideas, and enhances ‘get ready, set, go’ regardless - so make sure ‘be prepared’ is your motto! October tends to take off without us if we are lagging behind, and having half-baked ideas that we are unsure about, does not bear well. This may hinder your progress, giving you the feeling that you have to hurry.

Make sure you give yourself time to enjoy your progress and applaud yourself with every new step you take. Build yourself up and give yourself the recognition you deserve.

Be mindful to embrace the remainder of 2023, a high and divine epitome of 7, the sum of compassion, thoughtfulness, empathy, communication and perception.

To align with these calendar months, set up an alter with pieces of Amethyst and Clear Quartz. These crystals will work well together and a picture of Mother Mary or Quan Yin, and Master Jesus, or Ascended Master El Morya can create balance and harmonise the aspects of masculine/feminine over the ninth and tenth months.

*For a personal numeric influence, add September’s 9, to your day of birth, and then later October’s 1, to see the numeric influence driving your destiny wheel over each month.

Try asking spirit what these numbers mean especially for you, before you look them up!

Spiritual Journeying

Spiritual Journeying, a catch phrase of the 20’noughties, now in full fashion, is certainly an interesting concept, meaning different things to many people. So, before we start talking about Spiritual Journeying around the planet, let’s get back to basics and consider the real heart, the essence of the term.

The Calling

If you are reading this, then it is very likely that you are all too familiar with that deep and compelling sensation of ‘yearning’.

This, the unstoppable call of the soul to the heart. That whisper, that nagging or gnawing feeling spurring you to take action; to move, walk, wander, explore the sacred and ancient places.

The language of the soul is vastly different to that of the personality or mind. It speaks quietly, utilising metaphors and symbology, both figurative and literal, beseeching one to heed its message, whereas the ego mind is loud, usually drowning out the soul.

Generally speaking, this is due to being raised in a global culture, which now prioritises short-term gains of the finite material realm. It pushes humanity toward immediate gratification, keeping us too distracted and busy, to focus upon the infinite, multi-dimensional realms. These require patience, where gratification is often delayed and one may not even reap the harvest in this lifetime.

Hence the last few thousand years, the world has degraded, as humanity has descended into the dark age of forgetfulness and ignorance.

We have forgotten our origins and have not yet recovered our memories. It takes a strong consciousness to stay focused on the soul, the calling, the immutable truth of Source in the depths of Dark Age depravity. With still a decent trek up the mountain before we reach the Golden Age Crucible, thankfully humanity’s respective and collective souls are becoming insistent to awaken, remember and know thyself.

In the Beginning

The very first ‘Spiritual Journey’ one takes is that from the Spirit Realm into a body: incarnation. Now, that’s one incredible paradigm shift! So, when we speak about Spiritual Journeys, it’s important to gain perspective that one’s whole life is just that.

The Mayans have a particular tradition in their relationship to calendrical time and the process of a human life, called

16 Supernal Magazine
“The language of the soul is vastly different to that of the personality or mind.”

‘The Day Out of Time’. The term they use to describe this is, ‘Time is Art’. Read the Law of Time issue HERE:

In other words, the time that you have in this life is yours to create an artwork. Your life is, or if you feel it’s currently not… can be transformed into a work of art, should you so choose.

When one has forgotten their Spirit and where we came from, that’s okay 98 per cent of people have. It simply requires a bit of clean up. As the age old adage says, ‘Before enlightenment, wash the dishes and do the laundry, after enlightenment wash the dishes and do the laundry’. It’s a long journey, so take a thermos and a cut lunch - lol. To quote another adage, ‘It’s not the destination, it’s the journey…’ All the things we do along the spiritual journey of life are important. The ‘mundane’ is important and when we action the mundane with a high vibration, we are more open and receptive to the extraordinary and draw it closer to us. After all, life is an active mediation.

In Your Backyard

Your intuition plays a vital role in this hero’s quest. By listening to it and following, it will take you on many a magical journey to discover the mystery in the world around you at every given moment. Sometimes, when your mind’s plan is to take the right-hand turn, yet you just get a feeling that you need to turn left instead, take that left and see where it leads you.

Every night when we sleep, we journey through the dreamscape. Perhaps you may have gleaned from my little story that I have an active and purposeful dream life. There are a myriad of ways to begin the process of conscious-dream journeying. What I’d suggest at this time, is to always invoke divine guidance and protection from the beings who love you unconditionally, before you engage in any dream work process. The astral plane, like the Earth plane, is subject to polarity, both beautiful and at times treacherous, so best to buckle up with an invocation. Expanding this concept, Louise Clarke and I wrote columns describing protocols for energetic preparation, entering and caring for sacred sites.

Sacred Sites:

Introduction to Sacred Sites

Sacred Sites Alchemy: The Alchemy Ethics – Pt I, Sacred Sites Alchemy: The Alchemy Ethics – Pt II

So, all of this leads to, the Spiritual Journeying starts at home, with how we ‘BE’ in our own backyard.

One time I saw a garage sale sign and my intuition said, “Go there”, while my ego said, “No don’t. We don’t need anything.” Still my soul persisted and of course I heeded. Inside were two beautiful butterflies under glass domes. I had dreamt about them the night before and seen them on an altar to nature. I purchased them, went home and immediately created the altar.

Some of the most wonderful adventures I’ve had in my home cities have been at Museum exhibitions. These give us the opportunity to leave the outside world behind for a while and be present with the mysterious or an ancient culture on show.

I recall wandering through it, looking at the different ‘dreamt up’ creatures and suddenly realising an inner-knowing. There is more than meets the eye, as far as cosmic life is concerned, than the mere costumes on display there. Not long after this I was initiated into two very different approaches to shamanism, both of which acknowledged the ancient star race wars and their effects on Earth.

You can also immerse yourself in books, documentaries, cultural attire and culinary adventures in your own home. Even plot treks into nature to prepare yourself physical for the journey. The wise traveller researches before getting on the plane, inner or outer!

Finding local soulful adventures like Close Encounter of the 5th kind groups, visiting the local observatory to learn about Aboriginal Astronomy or taking a shamanic journey session or course is an excellent way to open doors of perception. Clearing ones inner-plane causes ones outer-plane to flow more freely.

Every simple conscious step we take is spiritual journeying, leading us to great adventures.

I hope to meet you on the path…

Sacred Journey of the Heart

I was guided to trust and embark on a momentous sacred journey. A journey of self-exploration, deep healing and an even greater depth of compassion for the human spirit. It would be full of adventure that would also require me to be of service. As I shed layers and grew exponentially, I was to share that growth and inspiration with others through my ‘work’.

For the past six years I have actively been in service as an intuitive Naturopath and Psychosomatic Bodywork Therapist. During that time I have gained a much deeper understanding of the human spirit through that work.

I didn’t consider it as work. It was about purely and passionately connecting with beautiful humans, to uncover what the depth of their souls shared with me, for their own growth and healing and that of everyone around them. This deeply influenced my own healing and, of course, everyone I touched, in connection with the Universal

spirit and guidance that flowed so divinely through me.

As I embarked on this journey, my world was completely changing as it had been doing subtly for years. Having recently separated from my husband of twenty-six years, I was stepping out into the world on my own, literally for the first time. As liberating as it was, it was frighteningly unknown. Despite this, I didn’t feel alone and realised I never had been. I was definitely being assisted and the more I trusted, the more I was supported and loved. I now had the deepest comfort in the absolute knowing that I was being guided by a force, so compelling that I agreed with all my heart and soul to follow it. There was no sense to be made of it, only blind hearted faith and, as terrifying as it felt, I agreed to surrender completely and see where this journey would lead. I trusted in the knowing that it would change my life profoundly and that of everyone I would touch moving forward.

I had the physical support of so many beautiful and courageous women around me, two of which were to accompany me, on yet another life-altering, heart-opening journey. A year ago, almost to the day, we had met in the USA and spent fifteen incredible days together

in California, Mexico and Arizona. This transformed our lives so phenomenally, that we made the pact to do it again the following year.

Once more we had fifteen days free to explore the USA after our own individual trips. I was told to meditate for guidance on where we were to visit - I sat in heart space and asked. I channelled six States and nine sacred sites through Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. I was told we would receive healing abilities and higher intuition to amplify the vibration of love. After working on our own aspects of healing, we were entrusted to share it to the world. For me specifically, it would be about expansion, letting go of the

past, validating myself and my experiences, emotional safety, learning to trust and especially, the power of pure authentic love.

I was given a list of places in individual states, with no idea where each was located or how we would get to all of them in fifteen days. However, I trusted the guidance and when I opened up a map of the USA, I realised they were all perfectly aligned, with an average of five hours drive per day. Gratitude and excitement filled my being!

Before the trip to the USA, I was guided to go to England to visit my long-time friend Jules, to deepen our personal bond and connection, as we journeyed together, visiting several sacred sites there.

Although my heart trusted, my mind came in, panicked; how would I find the time, enough money, courage and the ability to leave my children to embark on this journey? The mum guilt

kicked in and the judgement I felt I would receive from others; ‘How can you leave your children for five weeks, to party with your girlfriends? Shouldn’t you be putting that money towards a place to live? How irresponsible, frivolous and, most of all, selfish.’

Selfish! That word hit deeply, especially following the gut-wrenching decision to separate. A major contribution to that decision was due to my intention to finally honour myself and inspire my children. After so many years of being the opposite of selfish – selfless - I had started writing poetry following the first sacred journey; a journey that had opened my heart for the very first time. There was no way I could ever go back to living life with it my heart closed in fear.

This was the beginning of finding safety in expressing myself and in the depth of emotion that, for years, I had swallowed out of fear, not allowing it to surface. One poem came to me when I was finding the strength and courage to go on this trip. It helped me to remember the vow I made to myself when writing it. I had been selfless for so long, to the point of

self-abandonment and I decided I would never abandon myself again for the sake of others. I would lovingly, unselfishly find my freedom to be authentic and inspire others to find their own.

Despite this positive conviction, I felt pain grip and strangle my heart, before crawling into my throat. I froze as the vastness of the ocean of life in front of me, attempting to drag me under the muddied emotional depths of my past - yet again. Freezing had been a coping mechanism in the past that had gripped me tightly. I was determined to thaw myself out and run through any fear around the reality of my choices and the sacrifices I would have to make, without its strangulating grips.

I had no idea where I would be living on my return or how I would cope on my own; I only knew I had to trust. When I felt into the safety of spirit, I was told again “This is not frivolous, it’s imperative. I would heal and grow exponentially on this journey and that growth wasn’t selfish, it was altruistic.” This would not only be beneficial for my self-worth, it would greatly benefit my children and everyone around me. The healing energy would ripple out to others, with love and assistance through my work, my writing and the connections I would make along the way and into the future.

There was no going back; I could no longer freeze; I had to face my fears and bravely

dive into the exquisite depths of the astounding ocean of life. I could no longer wait to wholly and passionately LIVE!

So, I trusted the Universe and asked for assistance, which gave me abundant support. I was told that my beautiful girlfriends, Ange and Peta, who were to accompany me on the journey, would make up the ‘trio of ascension and healing’. We had work to do!

Ange was beyond generous in supporting us to make the journey; we were all to arrive separately and then meet in Dallas. Of course, while there would be fun and adventure, we were entrusted to be of assistance with the healing we would continue to share with others.

As the day grew closer to leave for my trip, I hugged my babies tighter and promised them we would connect daily and nightly in our dreams. As I boarded the plane, the guilt washed over me again and I

had to feel into my heart, to remind myself of why I was doing this.

When I arrived in London and was greeted by my beautiful friend Jules and her daughter Ella, we cried, held each other, laughed and I knew in my heart and soul I was on the right path. Being with someone you’ve known since the age of five, especially after going through separation and our own individual struggles, was exactly what our souls needed.

We talked for hours, so relieved to be in a mutual supportive safe space. We were excited about spending authentic time together and healing through our journey. We were both in similar situations, mirrors to each other’s inner turmoil,

with our depth of connection so strong that we often didn’t need words. We just got each other like no one ever had; we both longed for that in the depths of a loving relationship. We longed to be free to pursue that and there was no more time to waste with half-heartedness.

We wanted to pour our hearts out in connection and spend quality time unravelling our emotions. Jules was also excited to tap into potential Universal guidance. Our first stop was Stonehenge, where we tuned into the Universal network there. It was shown to us that it was a labyrinth and portal of love, an ancient ceremonial meeting point for total union.

The importance of deeply experiencing open-hearted loving connections in this lifetime was the emphasis and to pass on the message that love is not necessarily a fairy-tale forever. We must avoid holding onto it physically, more to take every profound experience of love in the moments we have them. On a soul level, every loving connection is eternally placed in the heart; so trust and be in the moment to love authentically, whether it’s for a minute, an hour or a lifetime. We must be open to all loving connections and maintain the flow of love infinitely.

23 Supernal Magazine
“…I had to face my fears and bravely dive into the exquisite depths of the astounding ocean of life.”

In our short time together, we managed to fit in so much heartfelt connection, laughter and life-altering insights. We visited Avebury, Glastonbury, Chalice Well, The Tor and Bath by day and spread our hearts out with authentic connections and deep conversations by night.

Sitting in a vortex for inter-dimensional connection at these powerful sacred sites we received guidance through meditation to open our hearts, both exponentially and inter-dimensionally. We were assisted with letting go of anger, hurt and fear, especially the fear that prevented our trust. Yes, of course, there would be times we would be let down. Nevertheless, we could no longer wallow in the river of fear; we had to swim towards trusting completely. We were assured we were safe in the moment, in letting go of past wounds and allowing ourselves to keep our hearts open and loving.

On our final day we completely released, letting the river of life take our past hurts and wounds, as we soaked in the hot springs. Tears streaming down our faces, our grief was

washed away and transmuted, ending our time together in a beautiful sea of bridging heart to heart connection and deep healing. We cried from the depths of our interconnected hearts; we laughed with our souls on fire and had the most beautiful last night together. Amongst authentic loving connections with the incredible friends Jules had made, who had now touched my heart too, we celebrated her glorious birth, rebirth laughing late into the night.

With achingly sorrowful hearts, we parted ways early the next morning with an absolute depth of gratitude for our time together. Yet we were safe in the comfort of the knowing that the Universe would bring us back together soon.

In Part II, Vanessa’s heart opening journey continues as the trio of ‘ascension and healing’ reform to ignite their hearts and souls across sacred sites of the Americas.

Walking as an Art of Healing

In 2009 as a photojournalist, I volunteered to cover a story about the annual hike in the North West Province of South Africa called the ‘Mebala Ye Rona Heritage Walk’, which takes you 130km through mountainous wilderness between the Pilanesberg National Park and the Madikwe Game Reserve.

For four days you walk an average of 30 odd kilometres a day - all day - from dawn to dusk and sometimes beyond through the ever transforming bush veld, over mountains, and through rural BaTswana villages.

That walk for me was a Rite of Passage. A coming to know myself inside and out and an initiation into a new relationship with my own soul and the world around me.

Spirit has always had a way of directing my life. Shortly after that long walk I received a massive ‘download’ or inspiration about walking being an ‘Art of Healing’. In that instant I understood how we as humans connect to the earth through walking, how walking itself is a language of love, and that in practicing this art we can transform every aspect of our lives.

“…I received a massive ‘download’ or inspiration about walking being an ‘Art of Healing’.”
Supernal Magazine 2626

I madly scribbled down the twenty one points that came to mind in that moment, and then spent the next ten years contemplating what they mean, journaling my experience of walking and practicing awareness in order to learn the wisdom I will now briefly share with you here.

There is a magical word in the Zulu language of Southern Africa which means simultaneously ‘people’ and ‘ of two legs’.

We are the ‘Ba Ntu’, “those who walk upright on two legs”. Human in Zulu, ‘Ba Ntu’ is also onomatopoeic of the sounds our steps make as we walk.

Learning to walk is our first milestone in life, and each step physiologically creates new synapses in the brain. It is as natural to us as breathing,

and yet, this seemingly ordinary act transcends mere physical locomotion and is able to bring about profound introspection, connection and transformation to our lives.

to do about walking. Carlos Castaneda, known for his explorations of shamanic practices, understood walking as a sacred act of navigating the unknown. In his seminal work The Teachings of Don Juan, he recounted his experiences with Don Juan Matus, a Yaqui shaman. Don Juan’s teachings underscored the notion that walking was not just about moving from one place to another, it’s

Did you know that every single person has a gait particular to them, a style of walking as unique as a fingerprint? We all have our own imprinted rhythm by which the earth is able to recognise us.

a means of aligning to the energy of the Earth. Casteneda learned that walking on a path unknown to him created a bridge between the ordinary and the extraordinary, catalysing profound shifts in his perception and consciousness. His encounters with Don Juan unveiled the transformative power of walking as a path to spiritual awakening and self-discovery.

Rebecca Solnit, a contemporary essayist and author, expounds upon the diverse landscapes we tread upon in her book Wanderlust: A History of Walking. She unravels the intricate relationship between our surroundings and our inner states. Solnit’s exploration of walking as a metaphorical journey delves into its ability to mirror the ebbs and flows of our emotions and thoughts. Walking, according to her, creates a rhythm that aligns our external and inner worlds, often revealing insights and connections that would have remained hidden otherwise. She highlights that walking is not just about covering distances, it’s about experiencing the world fully, fostering mindfulness and deep introspection.

For me personally, I have learned that by walking I am able to connect deeply into Source, that different

environments bring about different healing responses in my body, mind and soul, and that I can use the simple act of walking to bring about different outcomes such as clarity or purpose or healing from grief or heartbreak. I have discovered that walking moves us through from ‘what?’, and ‘why?’ to ‘how?’ to move forward.

Becoming familiar with the practice of walking re-establishes our humannature relationship. It allows us, while exploring outer passages, to connect with our inner processes that we may become more self-aware, more understanding and accepting of ourselves and the world we live in.

I have walked many thousands of kilometres over the years, across vastly different landscapes, toward an understanding of my true Self.

When I walk, the Earth speaks to me. On the wind. Through the trees. As I walk, She offers up her secrets.

Walking’s power as an art of healing is intricately linked to the environments we traverse. Nature, with its diverse landscapes, can evoke specific healing responses in our body, mind and soul. The forest, with its tranquil canopy and whispering leaves, offers a sanctuary for rejuvenation. Studies show that forest walks, known as ‘forest bathing’ in Japanese culture, reduce stress hormones, lower blood pressure and enhance overall well-being. The sea’s rhythmic waves invite reflection and release, inspiring a sense of boundless possibility. Mountain paths challenge our physical limits, symbolising the journey of overcoming obstacles in life. Each environment provides a canvas for different facets of our healing journeys.

Walking meditations, revered across spiritual traditions, exemplify the art of healing through movement. The labyrinth, an ancient patterned path found in cultures worldwide, is a tangible representation of a spiritual journey as we move toward the within, unravelling thoughts and allowing insights to surface. Walking a labyrinth can be a transformative experience, aiding in the release of emotional burdens and fostering clarity.

Zen walking meditation, known as ‘kinhin’, embraces mindfulness in each step.

Practitioners synchronise their breath with their pace, harmonising the rhythm of the walk with the rhythm of life itself. This practice cultivates presence and embodiment, grounding the walker in the here and now. Kinetic contemplation becomes a gateway to deep introspection, where one’s inner landscape unfolds.

Walking as an art of healing extends beyond mere technique; it encompasses intention, awareness and reverence. To fully harness its potential, we can integrate the following recommendations into our walking practice:

Set Intentions - Before embarking on a walk, set an intention for your journey. It could be healing, gratitude, purpose, or anything else that resonates with your current needs.

Mindful Presence - Engage all your senses in the experience. Feel the ground beneath your feet; listen to the sounds around you. Observe the colours and textures of your environment. This mindfulness fosters a deeper connection to the present moment.

Breath Awareness - Connect your breath with your steps. Inhale as you take a step, exhale as you put the other foot down. This simple synchronisation creates a rhythm that connects your mind and body.

Visualisation - As you walk, visualise yourself releasing

any tension, stress or negative emotions. Imagine each step grounding you and allowing these energies to dissipate into the Earth.

Gratitude - Dedicate a walk to gratitude. With each step, say ‘Thank You’ for all the blessings in your life, whether big or small. This practice shifts your focus towards the positive aspects of your journey.

Silent Reflection - Allow moments of silence during your walk for introspection. Let your thoughts flow, and observe without judgement. Insights often arise when we create space for them.

Creative Expression - Carry a journal or sketchbook with you. Pause at intervals to jot down your thoughts, draw scenes that resonate, or capture the emotions evoked by your surroundings.

Variety of Environment - Explore different environments for your walks. Experience the healing qualities of forests, beaches, streams, the wilderness and urban spaces. Each setting offers unique lessons and insights.

Walking Partners - Invite a friend or loved one to join you. Sharing this experience can deepen connection and understanding and provide opportunities for meaningful conversations.

Walking Rituals - Create rituals around your walks, such as starting or ending with a simple bow, a moment of silence or

a small offering or prayer to honour the journey and the space you’re in.

With every walk we embark upon we have an opportunity to access a profound journey of healing and self-discovery. As we walk, we dance with the rhythms of nature, unravel the tangled web of our minds and awaken to the boundless inner landscapes of our own lives.

Walking with Dad!

Two weeks before his sixtieth birthday, my father passed away peacefully in his sleep. Well, peacefully? He had a lot on his mind and life was not ideal. According to the Medicos, he had a heart attack while he slept. That was somewhat ironic. Ever since I could remember as a child, I recalled my father saying, “Wouldn’t it be good to go in your sleep”. Whenever he heard about someone dying in their sleep, he would remark on how lucky they were. If I had known, I would have said, “Be careful what you wish for.”

That morning, I received a call from my sister, telling me Dad was gone. “Gone? What do you mean gone, where has he gone?”

“He’s gone.” She couldn’t bring herself to state the reality.

“Did he and Mum have an argument, and he stormed out, what do you mean he’s gone?”

“No, Dad is dead!”

“I remember my legs giving way as I collapsed like a rag doll to the floor.”

I remember my legs giving way as I collapsed like a rag doll to the floor. This couldn’t be, it was surreal, this couldn’t be happening.

Three days later, my father came to me. It was too real to be a dream and, to this day, I am convinced that it was real. Even now, thirty-six years later, I still get a shiver up my back when I think about it.

I was in bed in the early hours of the morning, contemplating on whether to get up, as I heard the bedroom door creak. That was odd! Who could be coming through the door? There were only two of us in the house and my wife was beside me in bed sleeping. I looked up to see what may have caused the sound.

A younger looking version of my father walked up to my side of the bed. No, this couldn’t be! Was this really my father? His skin was smoother, his hair darker, freshly shaven. I could even smell his everyday aftershave. Yes, everyday aftershave, because he had another one for special occasions. Came close to me and gently grabbed my wrist.

“He let go my wrist, gently slid his hand over the back of my other hand and said, “I understand, you have responsibilities…”

Without uttering a word, simply telepathically, he tugged at my wrist gently and said, “Come on, get up, come with me.”

“A younger looking version of my father walked up to my side of the bed.”
Supernal Magazine 3030

By now I had realised where he wanted me to go, yet the thought of that did not scare me. I would be with my dad.

I responded in the same way, without uttering a word, as if we were reading each other’s thoughts. “I can’t, Dad.” “Why not?” he asked.

I turned my head towards my wife and replied, “I can’t leave her.”

He let go my wrist, gently slid his hand over the back of my other hand and said, “I understand, you have responsibilities, but I want you to stop worrying. You need to know that I’m fine and everything is good now.”

He turned slowly and walked out of the room through the same creaking door. I wanted to jump out of bed, run after him, talk to him. I wanted to hug him, yet I couldn’t. I couldn’t get up, frozen, stuck to the bed. The scent of his aftershave still wafted through the room.

The sun was coming up and a ray of light pierced through the gap between the window and the blind. It felt like an eternity before I was able to release myself from the hold the bed had on me. Finally, I was able to get up and open the blind. The room flooded with light and warmth. I could see my dad outside in the distance walking towards a crowd of people. I bolted out of the front door onto my porch, except my porch was now a colonnade of a typical 17th century Sicilian town. I could stand in the colonnade and look out, however I could not leave it and to go beyond the row of columns to follow my father. It wasn’t the law as such, just a physical impossibility to do so, that I understood and accepted.

As I focused on the crowd of people, I recognised some of the faces. They were friends of my father that had already passed and my grandparents. They greeted him, hugged him and welcomed him with great joy and back-slapping. “Great to see you, I’ve got to say we didn’t expect you here so soon”. He seemed so happy to catch up with everybody. I couldn’t hear them; I didn’t need to as I could read their minds, just as with my father earlier.

“A flood of tears drenched my face, yet I was happy and relieved…

My father was fine and in good hands.”

A flood of tears drenched my face, yet I was happy and relieved… My father was fine and in good hands. A warm comforting sensation ran through my entire being and it felt wonderful.

equipped to make decisions, or give advice. Better than we mere mortals in our fast paced, busy stressful lives. We are so caught up in our day to day lives, kidding ourselves that we are striving for work/ life balance, working hard in a bid to secure a future that we may not be here to enjoy. Regardless of your beliefs about life after death, perhaps the real life, a better life, might be on the other side.

He was happy and at peace. I couldn’t remember him that happy, since I was a child!

I started my explanation by saying, “You’re not going to believe what just happened. Oh, and by the way, you’re going to think I’ve gone mad.”

As I started to tell her about my experience, trying not to trip over my words with excitement, I was mindful that I wanted to tell her every little detail in correct chronological order. I needn’t have worried that she would doubt my sanity as she is very open to all things mystical. When I finished my story she said, “That’s amazing. How lucky are you, to see and speak to your dad?”

I reiterated that I didn’t think this was a dream, it was too real and, I swear, I could still take in the scent of my father’s aftershave. I realised too what a wonderful experience this had been. How wonderful if we could connect with our loved ones on the other side, whenever we wanted to, or perhaps whenever, they wanted to. Considering how well and stress-free my father looked, I bet he was better

Memories Within Avebury - Earth’s Largest Stone Circle

This being my first article for Supernal, I’d like to share a little about myself by way of introduction. It was in my younger teen years when my fascination and wonder of ancient megalithic sites come into being.

Exploring humanity’s conscious evolution, has lead me to research, and closely observe, as much information on topic as possible, analysing the available technological, intelligent concepts and aspects. The purpose for which, was to come to some inner understanding of Earth history and the origins of humanity. Part of my investigation into ancient megalithic sites involves feeling into the concepts of other people’s life’s work and their study of these ancient, wondrous mysteries. My experience at Avebury reflects this.

These ancient sites were surrounded by both small and large settlements of people. They visited and energetically, through ceremony, worked these sites on a regular basis. Now, thousands of years later, they continue to be visited by countless people from around this beautiful planet.

This trip to Avebury was part of a journey to map out sacred site tours throughout the United Kingdom and France, for others on conscious spiritual journeys, so they too can experience the wonders of these sacred places. Collaborating with my partner Freya, we have unified our life’s work to create Soul Journeys for humanity’s ‘Soul Purpose’ higher callings.

Here, at the heart of Avebury, I am following the curving path, absorbing the energy, the smell of the plants, drinking with my eyes the scintillating sun light on their moisture and surrounding auric fields.

Deep breaths of freshness oxygenate my blood and I feel my Third Eye and Crown chakras activate.

I let go of all expectations and listen to my heart, allowing myself to follow my higher guidance. With synchronicity leading me, I am intuitively guided to the right, up some stairs, where I noticed the strong accents of some woman from the south.

Intercepted on my path by fellow travellers, I listen to their

experiences of their Avebury walk, while feeling my heart and staying focused to follow my inner guidance. Hurrying on with my journey, I continue up the stairs that place me on the ancient stone circles of Avebury.

I wait for her to finish her purpose there.

I touch the first stone, feeling a subtle charge of frequency coming from it. Images of many souls that walked these lands long ago flash through my mind. I look up as the powerful sound of a Red Kite calling in its flight overhead synchronised my path. I then move to the next stone where I see one of the ladies from the south.

My inner-knowing tells me she was a lady of the craft, an aspect of the Goddess in form. I softened my masculine energy field, humbled in the presence of Goddess energy, creating equality in the polarity of the masculine and feminine frequency of our auric fields.

As I stood, processing inwardly my first steps in this beautiful place, my ears were met with the sound of the voice of the Goddess singing into the stone. Then followed a small hand held metal instrument being played by a second lady of the craft, whose presence I felt yet could not see. The frequency permeated the cells of my being and activated a state of joy and a feeling of bliss that I could compare to a process of deep meditation. The stones amazingly enhance sound and this affects the human body.

second lady of the craft sang and played the instrument, in turn emitting the vibrations of sound from the other side of the stone, continuing its affectation of my energy field.

At this stage, I had entered a deeply altered state, yet I remained conscious of the ancient stone circle technology and its wonders. As the singing stopped and the women of the craft left, I sent gratitude from my heart I poured love from my heart through the stone and into Gaia, giving thanks to her for holding space for this circle and transmitting her healing energies through multiple powerful energetic Ley Lines that cross through Avebury and into this sacred place.

I was telepathically called over to her and she guided me to place my hands on the stone. She then stepped away, allowing me to take time with this powerful activated megalith. I experienced a high frequency reverberation, as the

Continuing my journey around the great menhir circle I came upon the ancient Druidic beech trees.

European countries, around the planet, where master shaman of these cultures conducted ceremony in honour of creation.

Again I met the crafted ones, singing and playing instruments. I am gracefully accepted once more into their ceremony, where I lay, blissfully transported, upon the beech trees roots protruding the soil.

The women and birds played and sang, harmonising as one. The trees spoke, wind blowing their leaves, flickering sunlight and gamma rays through to my Crown and Third Eye chakras, downloading information, activating consciousness.

Surrendering to the process I relaxed, looking up into my mind’s eye, allowing the light to reveal memories; visions of thousands of years of ceremonies taking place here.

I perceived the energy flowing from the ceremonies at Avebury, across Ley Lines to other megalithic sites. This, expanding throughout greater

Once reaching an egoless state of Oneness, I’m reminded of important past lives. Lives where I too once walked and worked these global sites. Clear knowing fills my being; of the importance for humanity to visit these powerful places, thereby remembering their true history, their potential, their past lives, to receive healing, enabling greater soul Unity and the remembering of their life purpose.

It became clear to me that one’s cellular memory held within DNA can, across lifetimes, be activated when consciously visiting any sacred site.

As multiple strands of dormant DNA awaken, they trigger past life memories. No amount

of reading or research can compare to this. A truly life changing experience.

Avebury’s crystalline alignments can spontaneously facilitate a shamanic like process, allowing deep insight for any soul who is ready and surrendered. Most beautiful!

Visiting megaliths with purpose and guidance may answer your soul’s yearning. Ancient truths lay awaiting remembering and embodiment by We, the children of Earth, in service to light, unconditional love and peace.

The Spirit within - We are not Alone A Quest for Enlightenment

Finally, I was returning to Italia, my homeland, the place my family left for Australia when I was four years old. Returning now, I was excited and yet nervous. Why?

There was excitement, anticipation, fear and uncertainty, as I had not travelled so far since that first journey. A memory re-surfaced; Through dark and stormy seas via ship my birth family travelled, to be reunited with my father, who I thought, I had lost forever. He had come before us, to prepare by getting a job, accommodation in readiness for our arrival. Mixed emotions surfaced…

Just before our return trip, I needed to spend some alone time, in the cool fresh air and the clear night sky to star gaze. Many anxious thoughts were clouding my mind. I had been having vivid dreams, some of which made no sense. Others were slightly worrying and then came the big one. Although magnificent and interesting, it was probably heralding a future synopsis of wonderment, incredible coincidence and, ultimately, a life-changing awakening.

Before our trip, I repeatedly saw strange and unusual Light Beings of magnificent white glowing appearance. Very tall, over 3-4 metres, within a shroud of light on a mountain top, that was both encompassing and soothing at the same time. I knew that these beings, were not supposed to be touched by humans, yet they held me in their arms! They gave me comfort and I felt all was, and would be, well. Why was I being blessed with the gift of touch from these sacred, mystical and unknown beings?

In May 1998, with anticipation and some trepidation, we finally landed in Roma and began our adventure in La Bella Italia. It was not clear to me why my stomach was uneasy, while adventure filled my heart.

At the beginning of our time in Roma, we visited nearby the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiori, where I noticed an unusual image above one of

38 Supernal Magazine 38

the side baptismal altars. The Eye of Horus within a Triangle shape! What was this pagan, Egyptian image doing in a large and major Christian church in Rome? It didn’t make sense to me. Why was I seeing this image? It was a brain teaser, a mystery I had to attempt to solve.

So, my search began for more signs. Every church I entered, I looked for the evidence. A church in Lago di Como, had the same symbol, as did churches in Firenze, Portofino, Santa Margherita, Venezia and San Gimignano. I noticed that, while not all the churches displayed this image, most did. Large, important churches and smaller ones built in obscure country towns showed the same symbol. The Eye of Horus above the altar.

From city to city, town to town, many synchronicities unveiled themselves and by the end of our journey all became clear. I finally understood why I was blessed and gifted with visions before the trip.

As I walked in, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of dread. I froze: the space warned me that it had entities, dead souls that had not yet transitioned. So, I carefully and tactfully asked for another apartment and thank goodness, they were able to accommodate.

One night, after a long and exhausting day in Firenze, we decided to stop at a supermarket complex to buy food for dinner. As we were about to pay, we heard yelling and screaming coming from the centre space of the complex. As we turned, we saw at least four armed men, yelling aggressively at people. They ordered everyone to stop and get down!

We also heard some poor fellow screaming as he was being beaten. With fear rising, we waited to be next. What horror was about to befall us? Our 7-year-old son was with us and the thought of him being hurt was too much to bear. We dropped to the floor, under the checkout counter and my husband and I covered our son with our bodies to protect him.

This now takes me to the next extraordinary discovery. It blew my mind, confused my senses and made no logical sense - or did it?

During our stay in Colle di Val d’elsa, a hilltop village near San Gimignano we booked a farm ‘Agriturismo’ stay. We were given a lovely suite in a refurbished stable space.

As we peered from under the counter, we noticed the fear and panic in the faces of the other shoppers and staff. We watched the feet of the robbers as they walked up and down the checkouts and prayed for the mayhem to stop.

Were we going to be beaten, robbed and left for dead? Waiting, waiting, nothing happened. Suddenly, they left. They didn’t steal from the

checkouts, which were loaded with money, they didn’t ask us for anything, they just jumped into a stolen car and left.

possible that we had both seen the same image, from halfway across the world? Then I knew; it wasn’t a dream. It was a manifestation designed to let me know I am being looked after and guided through life. It was the realisation not to be distracted with my humanity and doubt.

What a nightmare! However, we were safe. We made our way back to our accommodation to recuperate from the shock and disbelief of what had just happened. To help our son process the events of the day, I suggested that he draw what he had seen to express his feelings about the entire ordeal. Eventually, this activity did help calm him.

We now had the choice to leave and return home. However, we listened to our hearts and decided to stay on our adventure. Now events became even more interesting!

Next day, we travelled to San Gimignano, a wonderful fortified medieval city, known for its towers. We enjoyed wandering through the streets, where we spotted a local art gallery. While exploring the gallery, I was dumbstruck as I noticed an extraordinary vision. There, in front of me was a 1.5 metre-high bronze statue of ‘the White Ones’ that I had envisioned before our trip.

I immediately went to the gallery owners to inquire about the statue and who had made it? Apparently, he was a local artist and sculptor who had just finished this work. How was it

By the end of our visit, the gallery owner kindly made me a VHS of the entire gallery to keep. The image of these benevolent beings is on that VHS! This proved to me that the whole experience was real, not a dream or my imagination.

In Amalfi, a dog called Sugar, decided to follow our explorations for five days. Before going out one day, with Sugar waiting for us outside on the footpath below, our son experienced an entity touching him on the back. He was not startled; he felt the touch and asked who had tickled him.

We travelled through Santa Margarita, to Portofino staying at a local hotel and, whilst at reception, I was flicking through some books in the foyer. Suddenly, I received another shock to the system! I discovered an image similar to a painting I had created twenty years earlier at high school, for my art studies final submission.

I quickly ran to my husband to show him and he asked,

“I suggested that he draw what he had seen to express his feelings about the entire ordeal.”

The Journey to Volunteering

It was around 3am when I finally made my way out of the airport in India, heading to Old Delhi for the next couple of days. Customs wasn’t an issue however, I wasn’t quite sure about the announcement blaring across the speakers, reminding foreigners to organise a taxi from the desk, rather than just walk outside to unsolicited drivers. Nevertheless, I managed to find my pre-arranged driver holding up a placard and felt reassured.

This didn’t last long, as he drove all over the road to goodness knows where –hopefully to my motel. It was almost the last straw when he stopped in the middle of a roundabout, opened the door and vomited! With my concerned comments seemingly falling on deaf ears, he drove on while I prayed! What the hell had I got myself into?

Eventually, he pulled up in a courtyard and guided me into the motel.

Once in my room I felt relief yet. As tired as I was, I couldn’t get to sleep. I couldn’t lock the door and was worried about my safety. This was the physical start of my journey to McLeod Ganj, Upper Dharamsala. I was to work as a volunteer at the Dalai Lama’s temple, the Institute of Buddhist Dialects and, although I didn’t know it at the time, a long and amazing stint with the beautiful folk at the Tibet Good Hope Centre.

“I see you in a room of monks. They look like Buddhist monks!”

My reply was simple, “Nothing planned, however somehow I am open to that!” While I like Buddhism as a philosophy, it’s still a religion and all that entails.

“I see you dressed in jeans, a flannelette shirt and no shoes. There seem to be a lot of monks around you and it looks pretty special!”

My driver turned down a narrow street. I had no idea where we were going! There were people sleeping under carts, in the gutter, on cars and there were dogs everywhere. I began to have second thoughts about my life choices!

The spiritual side of the journey started many months before and was a lesson in trust and being open to what the Universe and your Higher Self has in mind for you. In one of my circles, a student walked in, gave me a funny look then sat down. She went to speak then stopped, before blurting out,

A week or two later, in a different class, I had a reading from another student.

“I see you dressed in jeans, a flannelette shirt and no shoes. There seem to be a lot of monks around you and it looks pretty special!” Well, that was call number two.

The third and final call came as I was sitting in my office,

“It was almost the last straw when he stopped in the middle of a roundabout, opened the door and vomited!”
Supernal Magazine 4444

having a break from the computer, reading a Spiritual magazine, I can’t recall which one. I accidentally dropped it and it opened up on a page showing an advert for volunteering as a teacher of English at the Dalai Lama’s temple. “Right, I’d better check this out!”

Several phone calls later and emails with credentials sent for assessment, I received the confirmation call that I would be a good fit to interact with both the young monks at the temple and the older monks at the Institute of Buddhist Dialects (IBD).

There were a few hurdles to overcome; the cost $3000 big ones, airfares and living expenses. I also had to arrange travelling to the UK for a wedding. However, it proved to be easier than I thought.

A chunk of the money was deposited in my hands from a very special person whom I can’t name as they would kill me. This gesture with no strings attached, had me aghast and teary. To this day that person smiles when I mention what it meant to me.

The airfares were taken care of by the thousands of frequent flyer points I had racked up in my travels due to my job as a journalist. They covered the flight to and from India, including a stint in Business Class for the last leg home which, without knowing why, I booked it that way. It was brilliant for getting home in tip top condition.

On the night before I left Melbourne, I was packed and watching Slum Dog Millionaire. This was possibly one of the stupidest things I could have done because I walked into India with a wary prejudice. Having said that, it did teach me to be careful, as crime rates in India are high with much of it being ‘crime of opportunity’ for the unwary. Either way, my drunk driver, combined with the impact of

the smell of Indian city life, was an assault on the senses that I wasn’t prepared for.

Another aspect of this awakening was that I walked around without fear of losing anything, as this journey was about letting go of material things in many aspects. It was a journey to let go of fear!

Young Monks

My primary role was to teach English to the young monks aged 8 – 26. What amazing souls these kids were. From arm wrestling on the floor, size matched accordingly, to teaching them some photographic skills, it was an experience unlike any other. There was a lot of sharing and explaining ‘Aussie’ life in words, pictures and via video. I think I kept the Aussie role of ‘larrikin’ alive in the months I spent with them. Boy did they have a sense of fun!

45 Supernal Magazine 45 feature
“Another aspect of this awakening was that I walked around without fear of losing anything…”

Possibly the best fun ever was teaching them the Kookaburra Song. Apparently, we are not supposed to teach them western singing. However the Dalai Lama heard this from the depths of his temple and was kind enough to let them continue, once it was explained that I was a crazy Aussie, teaching them about the Australian bush.

This ended up in a magnificent set of rounds on my last day with them. This was a magical day that culminated in the group taking me on a hike and out to dinner. It was a huge honour for me with the understanding a monk’s income is sparse. Humbly they couldn’t understand why: it’s a monk thing!

Geshe Monks

At the IBD, another volunteer and I worked with a group of monks around their mid-30 to early 40s. These men had a lot more life experience behind them and were playful, open and their lives were dedicated to learning and teaching.

have some dinner then walk and talk our way around the Kora, the track around the Temple. This is where my education into Buddhism really began, walking arm-in-arm with them, talking about Buddha and comparing it with the philosophy of Spiritualism.

My stint in India coincided with the World Cup of Football (Soccer) and my fondest memory was eating pizza in one of the monks’ sparse rooms and enjoying the passion they had for life. All I can say is, “OMG Monks can be competitive!”

On the final day of my time in McLeod Ganj, I was asked to share morning tea. Nothing special, and we, the monks and the team of three volunteers, would head to a café high in the mountains for lunch. I rocked up ready for a hike dressed in; you guessed it, old jeans, flanny shirt and a hat. We were doing High Tea with all the monks from IBD and their seniors, with the guest of honour being the Dalai Lama’s personal secretary. Such an honour. I certainly looked a sight compared to the monks! I hadn’t been told it was a very special morning TEA, just a gathering. Yer, right, some gathering!

Tibet Good Hope Center

After the evening class, we would often meet in a café,

One of the other volunteers was slated to work at the Good Hope Center on the edge of town. I went with her for the first integration session. Her role was to help with co-ordination of the centre and teach English to any and all that rocked up. It was generally for Tibetan

refugees who had come to meet the Dalai Lama and ended up staying in the huge Tibetan community of McLeod Ganj.

It’s all about experiencing life in a different way.

I spent most afternoons here, 5-6-days a week, and loved the interaction with so many people. There were transients, people from around the world dropping in to help, some for one or two nights, others for weeks. I felt pain in the core of my heart, hearing the plight of Tibetan refugees’: horror stories. Yet, there was a love and beauty that grew, offsetting that pain!

Volunteering

I can’t stress enough just how much volunteering changed my life and I know I had an impact on the lives of the people I encountered. Living on the side of a mountain in the shadow of one of the holiest temples on the planet - Namgyal Temple, with the Dhauladhar ranges on the other, was something that’s hard to put in words.

Spending three months alone, on the side of a hill in India, changed my life profoundly. I could write a book on my experiences, some deeply personal. To be honest, I’ve never had the desire. I almost never talk in detail about my life there and I’m sharing this story out of love, not ego.

Volunteering is one of the most awesomeness ways to live in another culture, whether here in Australia on country, or overseas in a third world country.

Having spoken with many volunteers from around the globe, the experiences on offer are phenomenal. My suggestion is to plan, do the research on the companies involved in volunteering programs. Plan your finances and walk into the experience with an open mind, be respectful of the cultures involved and don’t be afraid of being 100 per cent authentic. That openness will open doors!

Happy Volunteering!

Transformative World of Retreats

As life continues to race forward at an ever-increasing pace, the allure of retreats has grown stronger, offering moments of respite, reflection, and rejuvenation. Whether as an attendee seeking personal growth or a host curating a unique experience, the world of retreats beckons with its promise of self-discovery and connectedness.

In these fabulous retreat environments, you can slow down and take time to discover, reflect and redefine the person you are and want to be. You also go home with a toolkit of strategies and learnings, to support you in your everyday life.

I remember thinking about retreats some years ago and assuming they were just for the rich and those that had lots of time on their hands. They seemed to all follow the same concept of a luxurious setting, a lot of spa time and great food. Now how times have changed. I facilitate these fabulous retreats myself and whilst they are set in the most idyllic of settings and indeed have fabulous food and some spa time, the actual context of the retreats is all about upgrading your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

In this article, we will delve into the many aspects of retreats, from the motivations behind attending, the benefits reaped, challenges faced, and the dynamics of gender-specific versus mixed-gender retreats

What most do not realise is that retreats present an opportunity to press the pause button; a chance to step away from the daily grind to focus on self-care, mindfulness, and personal growth. It’s not dissimilar to charging your own cellular battery and upgrading your data. a complete experience that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.

The Transformative Benefits

Retreats offer a myriad of benefits that extend far beyond the time of the actual experience. Attendees often find themselves experiencing profound shifts in perspective, increased self-awareness, and a renewed sense of purpose. There are many tools and takeaways to assist with the integration back into the ‘real’ world.

Structured programs, which can include meditation, ceremony, hypnotherapy, yoga, workshops, and holistic therapies, encourage

participants to engage in the discovery, reflection and re-evaluation of their life and choices. These immersive experiences can lead to lasting positive changes, creating a newfound sense of direction and fulfilment.

Connectedness and Shared Experiences

One of the most significant aspects of retreats is the profound sense of connectedness that attendees often encounter. Most often the retreat goers do not know each other yet quite often leave having met their soul tribe. Engaging with like-minded individuals who share similar intentions can lead to lasting friendships and a sense of community that extends well beyond the confines of the retreat.

in turn create a safe space for vulnerability and growth.

These shared moments often lead to a deep sense of belonging and create a network of support that is ever lasting.

Navigating Pitfalls and Challenges

Despite the promises of transformation and connectedness, retreats are not always without their challenges.

Attendees might find it a little difficult to disconnect from the outside world, especially in the age of constant connectivity.

Occasionally being in a safe space of nurture can mean the release of intense emotions that have been pent up for years. Emotions that have been buried just to survive. These emotions can potentially be a little unnerving or indeed open the flood gates to much more.

The intimate, safe and supportive atmosphere of a retreat encourages participants to open up and share their life and their experiences which

Hosts must strike a delicate balance between providing a structured program and allowing attendees the freedom to navigate their own journeys, as well as providing a strong support network to assist with these emotions, while on retreat and beyond.

Gender-Specific VS Mixed-Gender Retreats: Exploring Dynamics

The choice between gender-specific and mixed-gender retreats is an important consideration, as it can influence the dynamics of the experience.

On the other hand, mixed-gender retreats emphasise diversity and collaboration. They encourage participants to engage with a broader range of perspectives, fostering cross-gender understanding and connection. Hosts must carefully curate an environment that ensures everyone feels comfortable and respected.

explore their inner selves while enjoying the camaraderie of others on a similar journey. Flexibility, adaptability, and empathy are key attributes for my successful retreats, ensuring that all my participants leave with a sense of fulfilment, connections, and new insights.

Gender-specific retreats can provide a unique space for individuals to explore themes and share experiences that are specific to their gender. These retreats can foster a sense of safety and authenticity, allowing participants to delve deeply into personal topics without the conscious limitations of the opposite sex.

As a retreat host and facilitator, the endeavour is one of passion and purpose. Creating and crafting unique experiences that balance education, personal growth, care and relaxation requires meticulous planning and consideration.

The Don & Bananas Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy! Pt II

Go Bananas: a ‘Banana a Day’ keeps the doctor away, just like apples! Bananas are a perfect snack or meal.

Ancient records in Egypt show that banana cultivation goes back 8,000 years. They even appear in Egyptian hieroglyphics. Also, records in New Guinea show that bananas were being grown there in ancient times too.

Bananas, just like apples, are one of Nature’s nutritional Power Houses: it’s unreal how many vitamins, minerals and proteins are in one small single package called a banana.

Bananas do not grow on trees! They grow on huge plants that are the largest in the world, growing up to 15 meters/45 feet high. They belong to the same family as the orchid and lily and, botanically, bananas are berries; a fact most people don’t even know. A single banana is called, a ‘finger’ and they grow in bunches of around 10-20, called hands. Incidentally, the word banana actually comes from the Arabic word Banan meaning hand.

of illnesses and ailments. They assist in lowering blood pressure, which can protect against heart disease and strokes. Even those with depression feel much better after eating a banana, due to the Tryptophan content. Tryptophan is a type of protein found in bananas, which the body converts into Serotonin, a relaxant that lifts your mood. Bananas also soothe intestinal disorders and even help with regular bowel movements. Finally, bananas deliver quick energy, which is why it’s the number one fruit for athletes.

The nature of bananas is far more interesting than most could ever imagine. Ancients recorded that the banana got to our world on solar winds that picked them up from the planet Venus. Venus is the Goddess of Love and the planet is called, ‘Earth’s twin sister’, because they are both the same size.

Today’s nutritional studies show that just one banana has loads of vitamin C, Potassium, Phosphorus, Proteins, Manganese, Vitamin A. They also contain all of the B vitamins, including Riboflavin, Niacin, B6, Folic Acid, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and Zinc plus Nature’s healthy sugars and fibres.

Bananas can help to prevent and overcome a huge range

Hold on to that Peel! They are so ‘Appealing’ to your Health as well

Don’t be too quick to throw that banana peel away; it is medicinal as well as aesthetic. Did you know that rubbing the inside of the banana peel onto an insect or mosquito bite can reduce itching, swelling and

irritation? It can even clear rashes and itchiness.

By taping a piece of peel over a splinter, the enzymes in the peel help the splinter to make its way out. I’ve also helped hundreds of people around the world get rid of headaches by rubbing the banana peel onto their foreheads.

Divine Time Time to Align – The Journey!

Writing this column for 44 issues has had me thinking, downloading and writing, in two very different ‘time-scapes’. On one level I am writing in accordance with the ‘monthly issues’, and on the other, writing in accordance with the natural law of time, blending them together as I have done in my life intentionally and consciously since 2011.

November 2011, I met Stephanie South - Aka ‘Red Queen’, and my life changed dramatically. The inspiration from ‘Votan’ (José Argüelles) became clear.

I understood now certain events leading up to the meeting were spiritually guided. I surrendered (as always) to the synchronicity, and to Votan’s Monkey Magician Magic.

whole lot of other things, began to make sense.

It is so very apt that ‘truth is far stranger than fiction’ and then some! They say life is ‘but a dream’, or a play, and as we know dreams can be pretty out there and the script of a play gives the actors a ‘mind field’ of emotional and unbelievable situations to deal with.

I entered the Dreamspell. The normal perception of time and conception of why I never felt ‘quite right’ within it, and a

My life has unfolded in order for me to be open and accepting enough of the unexpected which has continued to blow open the doors to far horizons. This took me quickly into the epicentre of the Dream-Spell in order to ‘play my part’.

I have been able to pick up the mental pace and run with it, that was the easy part. The physical and emotional duress has been quite daunting. Climbing into the jungle of the Maya, clambering as best I could up the ancient stone steps to the Pyramids of Palenque and taking the plunge into other arduous and exhausting (for me) albeit exhilarating pilgrimages on this planet has been greatly challenging!

I’m not the best traveller, and yet once achieved, I saw the divine support

and the realised my own inner strength and perseverance.

Wherever it takes me always seems to be an uphill climb. Exhausting my body, messing with my emotions yet definitely enhancing my mental capacity.

mistaken, it begins on the ground. Just sit and go within - timeless!

I headed this issue of Divine Time as ‘Time to Align – The Journey!’. It is time to align ourselves with our own timelessness, with our ‘higher selves’, the facets of self that exist on more evolved planes.

Acknowledge the divinely orientated being that you are, and immerse the human self into understanding the amazing potential that embracing the Galactic Archetype offers.

It also entails becoming aligned with the fact that time is not what we think it is. It doesn’t work how we think it does and it does not exist in actual form within 3rd density, we just make it up around ourselves, to suit ourselves, and it is also used as a tool to ‘tame’ us.

Take heed though pilgrim, there is no rule or necessity that says you need to climb mountains, there are none actually high enough to give you the view your soul wishes you to seek, if you think that is the highway to enlightenment you are

In order to accomplish this, we must look seriously at the interruptions of the body and mind that influence our daily life, our wellbeing and our spiritual evolution. We must begin again to encounter the spirit of us, and this is achieved by acknowledging the soul, appreciating the body and becoming one with divine mind. To give time to and enjoy spiritual discourse, setting the intention to reconnect to the oversoul - lucidly and wholeheartedly!

Unfortunately, there are those existing and interfering, with intention to control and command obedience from us. The interrupting influence of elitist hierarchy, corrupt government and self-imposed authority figures use our energy for their evolution – the universe is there for us all, the only boundaries are conscience, ethics and love light.

Time to Align – 13 x 20 Moons is the Natural law (lore) of time. Time is frequency. Time space is out there, it’s the infinite - space time is finite, a mathematical module, which we are basically imbedded into.

To imagine that the planet is aligned with the western Gregorian and other ‘made for convenience’ calendars, is naïve.

We have become slaves to a rule of thumb that is inaccurate in movement and measure. However, humans currently would still be very lost without clocks and dates and schedules, yet to partake of, dipping a toe into the waters of synchronic order, which governs in alignment with divine mind, divine time and the divine within us, would

give so much more to each moment of your existence than I could possibly explain.

To fully understand the feeling and the experiential delight, people must do it for themselves.

don’t tend to work so well with each other.

They imply and create borders, differences and separation, whereas the Dreamspell is inclusive and gives you the indication of who and why you are, it evolves wherever you are and is enhanced because of who you are!

The Dream-Spell and the Natural law of time, allows for cycles of birth, life and death. It engages all culture, creed and belief systems. It is cosmic and yet extremely down to earth. It covers all facets of necessity and wellbeing – body, mind and soul, and engages the spirit, and its origins.

It gives meaning, rhyme, reason and time to be a human incarnate on the ‘Plan-Et’. It gives place and space for thriving community. It is globally friendly and ecologically sound. It works very well in nature and with all man-made international calendars, whereas man-made calendars

We have just entered the year of White Overtone Wizard. While reading this issue you are travelling through twenty-eight kin days of the Lunar Moon of Challenge. This does not bring defeat, it creates opportunity. This is followed by the Electric Moon of Service, and the Self-Existing Moon of Form - ‘what is the form my service will take’ through September, October and into November?

“To be of service sounds mighty tiresome; only because service is given a bad rap by the calendars and demands around us.”

overtaxed by the delusion of schedule, you are tired, part of you thinks how can I be of service? The other says, I can’t I’m so tired and too busy’.

To be of service to others, you must first serve yourself! Untie the binds from the wrists – and the mind.

Once you begin to take care of yourself, realise the divinity of the vehicle that houses the soul (the body) and the fact that you only need to resonate with it, and surrender to it, as you cannot control it - that is impossible. You are a soul taking a ride and you can only hold on - align with it.

The body is the vessel for the blessings and the lessons. There is always a reason it holds you back, not performing, other times it provides plenty of punch to move you forward. It has the power to stop you altogether, releasing you when your ‘times up’!

To align with divine time, why not try some meditation. Keep it simple and make it your own. Take a class for group energy and support, and also make time to sit alone at home, or anywhere you feel inclined. Practise the practise – you will be surprised how time warps, and becomes far less concerning as you become your own master, personal guru and keeper of time… When you meditate, in any form of, you are taking time for yourself, the whole self and nothing but the self - Amen.

Wild Gaia – Timeless Wisdom

The Elder, Her Student, Our Journey!

Part 1

The trees whispered an unfamiliar language, that day we sat in the pine grove. There was a feeling of reverence in the atmosphere, the wind swept through and she smiled.

They were speaking with her in ancient tongue, the wind kissed her time-lined face. The earth beneath her feet came up to meet her, the birds gathered and her heart was at peace.

She was in the winter of her Earth walk, ancestors were gathering. Her words were clear and her guidance strong, I am an Earth singer and I must sing her song.

I watched her aged body as it breathed with the trees, we sat still listening to nature speak. I am grateful for this ancient being, my elder, my teacher, my friend.

In 2015, my wife Christel and I had the opportunity to work on a few projects with Uncle Noel Nannup, a respected Noongar Elder. During this time, Christel shared with Uncle Noel that she had a deep desire to feel connected to nature and the land. He suggested she meet with his Elder, explaining that she would be the best person for Christel to speak with.

From respect to her family, I will not use the Elders full name, only refer to her as Nanna, as I did when her spirit still inhabited her body. Nanna was referred to by other Elders, as the Elder’s Elder. To Aboriginal and

62

non-Aboriginal communities alike, she was Auntie and Nanna.

Not long after Christel met Nanna, she introduced me to the woman who became one of the most influential teachers of my life. Her teachings and friendship would enhance my life in ways I could never have imagined. On our meeting, I held out my hand in greeting, she held my hand between her warm soft aged hands and smiled at me, looking straight through me. My heart opened and my mind quietened; I felt her huge presence envelop me. She was self-assured and had no problem talking about her lives, both past and present.

“What do you want?” she asked me with a serious face.

“I’m not sure.” I responded, a little confused at the question. “You’re here because you want something and I want to know what it is?”

She motioned for me to come closer to her, which I did. She took hold of my face and turned my right ear towards her mouth and she made a sound that felt like she was sucking something out. She repeated this procedure with my left ear and then looked into my eyes with a smile that said, “Done.” I was still and I felt certain that she already knew what I wanted; she was reading me like a book.

“Now, tell me what you want.”

“I want to communicate with

nature and I want to work with the Earth.” That was all that I could think of at the time. “You already do,” she responded.

Nanna held my hand again and asked me to close my eyes. I sat next to her, feeling so calm and peaceful as if I was on a journey with her and we were the only ones in the room. “What do you see?” Nanna asked me as she squeezed my hand.

A landscape opened up in front of me and I was with a group of First Nation People from ancient times. I was one of them and I felt deeply connected to the country I was walking upon. I could hear the trees speaking with me and I felt the Earth beneath my feet supporting me, like a mother supports a child who is in need of guidance. I felt that I was home, I felt strong and safe, I felt that I belonged to that place and like the country belonged to me; we were one in the same!

That morning with Nanna, I recalled a number of lifetimes

63
63 wild gaia timeless wisdom
“Her teachings and friendship would enhance my life in ways I could never have imagined.”

I lived in this beautiful and sacred country and in each, I could feel my deep connection to the land. I understood the mother’s wisdom.

Nanna had visions; she was a powerful remote viewer and could travel between dimensions since childhood. She struggled with these abilities and worked hard to ignore them in the hope they would diminish. They just grew stronger and, with guidance from a healer who was her Elder, she began to fulfil what she was on this planet to do. Life wasn’t easy for her and, as she confided in me once, she had many regrets on how some of her choices affected the people around her. However, once she accepted her role in healing the Earth and the Mother’s children, she dedicated her life to her sacred work, which often meant her visiting very dark places to bring balance to that area.

Her home was always full of people receiving healing or training from her or listening to her experiences with off world beings who worked with her. She worked constantly for the Earth, her people and all who came to her for assistance. She earned her Eldership.

“It’s not like, Oh, I was a dead bastard for forty years and I thought I’d change for the last five years. No, that five years doesn’t make you an Elder. It’s a lifetime of working for your community.” Jenny Munro, Creative Spirits Website.

Nanna taught me to seek balance and to see dark and light as necessary elements to create balance. It is a continuum within the Creative Force, which we control from our individual point of creation. She once asked me if I have ever lied. I responded that I had, many times as a youth advocate, to keep young people in my care safe from the people who were harming them. She smiled, what I call, her wise smile.

“So, you took an action of darkness to protect the innocent. That’s what you did my boy and you would do it again! Wouldn’t you?”

She was the Elder’s Elder and she opened me up to see and know this world in a way I never had before I met her.

The Light of Sacred Sedona

Nestled amidst the rust-hued canyons and sweeping vistas of Arizona’s high desert, Sedona emerges as a hallowed haven for seekers of spiritual enlightenment, natural beauty and cosmic energy. It is a place where the ethereal and earthly coalesce in a vibrant tapestry of wonder, and is, understandably, one of my most favourite sacred sites on Earth!

Something happens to you as you enter that space. I’m not sure if it’s the grandeur of the scenery or the very tangible

energy that seems to vibrate through the very rocks and warm air that completely envelops you. There is a rare quality of light that reaches deeply into your soul to touch some slumbering potentiality, awakening you to a new world of beauty, connection and possibility.

Sedona has settled deeply into my bones and I can feel her, even years later, as I recall the wonderful times I have spent there. I was extremely fortunate to have exceptional guides on my journey there - one, who opened vast doors of ancient knowledge and healing and the other, who walked me gently on the land and into Spirit.

Dr Steven Ross is CEO and Co-founder of the World Research Foundation and is so aptly the Sacred Librarian of Sedona. In his enormous home library, he has accumulated a staggering twenty thousand books and papers on inventions to do with Free Energy and Energy Medicine, Philosophy, the Mystery Schools, Psychology, Spirituality, and everything to do with Holistic Health and Healing. The library has an incredible energy, having been built with intention for its purpose. Dr Ross played classical music 24/7 throughout the building process and for seven years thereafter to ‘set the tone’ of this library’s purpose toward well-being and enlightenment.

Dr Ross, aside from spending his life seeking out information to uplift and grounding in his own experience of spirit, healing and dreams, he really has one powerful message for people seeking truth and enlightenment: ‘Trust your Self and take your Own place in the Universe’. This message has stayed with me all these years, along with the memory of hours spent examining lost manuscripts in his library, and testing out his colour and light frequency healing machines. Find him on Facebook and www.gaia.com to experience the wonder that is Dr Steven Ross!

When I returned to Sedona a year later, I was introduced to visionary artist and wisdom keeper Chief BearCloud. Meeting BearCloud changed me the instant our eyes met, for what I felt in his open, smiling gaze held a knowing you come across only in those few special

souls who have dedicated their entire lives to an elevated path of Spirit.

BearCloud is a born seer or visionary who from as early as five years old began drawing what he would only much later in his life come to recognise as the mountains of Arizona and Sedona. “Bear”, he told me that day we met, “Represents night time and our inner nature, a means of accessing the wisdom within.”

I spent a few days in Sedona with BearCloud. He showed me his gallery which, much like Steven Ross’s library, has a unique and perceptible energy and essence of light that subtly shifts your vibration, just by being there. BearCloud is a luminary whose creative spirit mirrors the mysticism of the environment in which he lives. Through his paintings, he acts as a guide into the rich tapestry of Spirit. Each painting serves as a portal to higher consciousness and the interconnectedness of all things.

BearCloud facilitated an Inipi ceremonial sweat lodge journey for me. We spent hours together in his home where he walked me through the process of each of his very large light imbued paintings. He took me on a walk along Oak Creek next to his villa and drove me into the desert in his awesome

old van to look at the rocks, pointing out to me (much like in his paintings), how spirit speaks to us through the mountains, in the water, and on the wind.

We visited sacred sites and ruins together. I had read that Sedona was renowned for its vortex sites and that the lands there were celebrated by the Hopi as portals to the spiritual realm. Having BearCloud guide me through it all with such characteristic grace made the journey an unforgettable experience for me.

If ever you are called to visit Sedona, I would highly recommend a visit to the BearCloud Gallery, and look up Steven Ross. There is so much Light in Sedona, and I cannot wait to return.

Sacred Odysseys

We are One, this cosmos and I. Feeling my bare feet upon the Earth. Seven thousand nerve endings on the soles of my feet, already communing with the grass, mycelium and minerals, connecting my Soul, through my soles, to Gaia.

Eyes closed; the world disappears behind the curtain of obscurity. Breathing the pure iridescent white light of Source down through my Antakarana.

The column of light that stretches across all dimensions, all time and space, to my Soul’s home; Source, and to my body’s home; Earth.

The light approaches my Crown. Innately I naturally respond, breathing deeply, gently exhaling, and opening the flower of my Crown, as if to the morning sun. Source light illuminates every cell of my body, electric Sathya resounds within my being and truth bumps cover my skin. Consciously now, activating each of the tiny chakras and

meridians that extending from them; light flows from my palm chakras and the chakras on the balls of my feet. Feeding the light into the deep, vast root system, which has grown from my Root Chakra into the Earth.

Gaia feels the purity, love and spark of life, freely streaming Source transmissions into her ley lines and she responds graciously in kind.

High tantric communion between beloved and beloved; Heaven and Earth.

A rainbow appears and we are ready to explore this most sacred of places. My Higher Self, commanding the ship, my body vehicle, is now inspired to move, we navigate the terrain before us.

Standing stones surround us, my beloved and I, together in this pristine place. Hearts singing with joy, this easily perceived, yet imperceptible frequency to the human ear, lights up the stone circuit surrounding us, instantaneously transmitting our hearts message to the unconditionally loving beings that created this place.

Vast Sirian Wisdom libraries cover this country, created in another Age, long before the Cosmic Winter sent humanity to slumber, forgetting its truth and origins. The Sirians ever watchful over the Earth, delighted to receive the transmission, respond, ‘We love you unconditionally, we wish for nothing more than to share the mysteries with those who have the eyes to see, ears to listen and hearts to serve the Divine plane of Peace on Earth. Now see with your heart and listen with your soul.’

The life and conscious awareness of everything

above, below and to the four directions, radiate love. Consuming this, the sweetest of nectar, with every inhalation; we are as high as the mountains top, grounded as its base, the perfect balance.

Moving through the alignments, the menhirs speak, revealing their guardians, gifts and purposes. Some matter-offactly emit the frequency of patience: ‘Not today, next time, come again and next time’, they beckon. Deeper into the circuitry we journey. Now, the cloud formation shapes reflect the power ray that the Sirian’s hold for humanity. A sacred duty, so we do not destroy ourselves and our home, Earth, until the Cosmic Age once again turns and we remember collectively how to play in harmony with the Cosmic Orchestra. My ears are ringing, my mind cannot keep up with the Vedas of information incoming: there is only surrender, allowing, awe, reverence and gratitude.

We don’t just travel or take a tour; we embark upon Sacred Odysseys!

Odysseys to remember the truth of who we are, why we came here to Earth, our

sacred purpose for this life. We odyssey to reconnect with the land and the wisdoms held within the stones, land and trees. This, from times when we were here before, to reclaim those parts of ourselves and our latent gifts. To remember where the odyssey of our life is taking us and to activate or purpose the next phase of them. We don’t visit a site; we attend meaningfully, with purpose. Through ceremony, healing, transmutation, meditation and activation, we transform ourselves and, through this contribute, to the transformation of life on Earth.

For years Christian, my partner, Louise Clarke Earth Spirit Walker and our Editor-in-Chief Anthony Kilner and I have been ‘dreaming’ our Sacred Odysseys into being. Holding space for our Soul Family from around the world, to awaken and shine like the Super Nova’s they are. The time has now come! Keep a keen eye on this space. Should you feel called to blaze your purpose in our world, then you are welcomed to embark upon Sacred Odysseys with us.

Expect Magic

A Practice for Awakening the Heart

“Birth and death cannot touch the Bodhisattva, nor the wave once it has realised that at the same time it is water.” Thích Nhat Hanh by perusing the Buddhist tradition for answers.

Of late, I have been studying Buddhist texts and discovering more about the significant theories underlying this path of virtue. Whilst mainly learning theory, it came as a great surprise to find Buddhist artists, expressing the power of their spiritual insights experientially on canvas or even in some cases, in ephemeral sand-sculptures.

It was a recent experience that highlighted the intangible inner world pointed to by many spiritual traditions. Upon hearing The Heart Sutra recited to me by a friend I met in Bali, I broke down in tears, very surprising, as I never cry! I couldn’t tell you exactly why that was or whether it matters. There was something deeply meaningful in those words for me at a heartfelt level that left me feeling raw. I will attempt to make sense of this experience

For those not familiar with this text, The Heart Sutra is a Mahāyāna summary of Buddhism that distils the Buddha’s philosophy, expanding both the path of Bodhisattva and the mind. McRae describes it as the “Scripture of the mind,” with noted concepts including “Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.” Furthermore, Pine describes it as “A work of art as much as religion.” The oldest enduring copy of The Heart Sutra, “The Sutra of the Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom” attributed to Quanzang dated at 649 CE, has been followed by hundreds of published commentaries. Noted modern translations include by the Dalai Lama in 2002 and Thích Nhat Hanh in 2014.

The 20th-century Japanese artist, Tsuneo Iwasaki (1917–2002) was a war veteran from the Japanese Imperial Army and survivor of an internment camp in New Guinea (Arai 2019). Aware of

the suffering he experienced, Iwasaki sought to facilitate the spread of Buddhist philosophy through his work. Iwasaki’s focus was on expressing compassion through every brushstroke. His dedication and commitment to this practice and loving-kindness for all humanity saw him write the Heart Sutra almost 2000 times, despite only beginning the practice at age 63.

The humanistic conception of replicating Sūtras, an ancient art known to create merit, as a modern transformational prayer aimed at healing humanity, has been rendered via the tear encoded with compassion of the Buddha. Taught to him by a dying artist in the prison camp, Iwasaki honed his calligraphy skills for decades by the practice of copying the Heart Sutra. The ink was painstakingly formulated by collecting the drops of dew from lotus flowers on the 7th day of the 7th month of each year and amazingly his paintbrushes were only three hairs’ in width.

Supernal Magazine 7272
“Upon hearing The Heart Sutra recited to me by a friend I met in Bali, I broke down in tears…”

Iwasaki’s work has been described by critics as ‘visual scripture’ representing the Heart Sutra. Iwasaki’s Mahāyāna paintings, created using a magnifying glass, portray all of humanity’s connection to the ultimate truth of non-dual awareness.

‘A Buddha’s Tear’ portrays the Buddha as an icon of compassion with his tear echoed via a radiating spiral of Heart Sutra text throughout humanity. Iwasaki’s approach, by representing the Heart Sutra in this way, instantiated humanity, yet is also a representation of generating attunement to the complex harmonies of the cosmos.

There is something about the concept of ‘emptiness’ that challenges me to the core, yet remains compelling. Its aesthetic sentiment is minimalist, reducing all spare non-functional elements. It reminds me architecturally of brutalism, only focused on utility. Other elements of Buddhism are much more emotionally labile, for instance the four pillars of love: loving-kindness (maitri), joy (mudita), freedom (upeksha) and compassion (karuna). These bring simplicity to the human desire to experience love. “When you love, you bring freedom to person you love”, Thích Nhat Hanh explains.

In the Mahāyāna tradition, emptiness is yoked to compassion, as inseparable components of the Buddhist project. Timeless strategies for experiencing mindfulness-based presence in daily life and cultivating the environment to nurture love, are compounded by the insight that life is empty. We are the ones who imbue it with meaning. Gaining conscious awareness in a field of non-duality, promoting

self-responsibility in cultivating the conditions of the mind, is the antidote to fear and a taste of nirvana that Hanh describes as the “Foundation of our being.”

What is ‘true love’ if not the love that is eternal; a pathway requiring an awakening of the Heart to the non-duality of love as a phenomenological experience of expanded consciousness? In such thinking, emptiness is merely the nature of consciousness itself, and love is the expression of that consciousness in this world. Marrying love and devotion to the concept of emptiness allows for us to dance through the waves of this transient human experience.

Sabian Symbols

It seems that interesting information presents itself constantly on one subject or another, with occasionally one particularly catching the imagination. This was the case for me when an astrologer friend mentioned Sabian Symbols. I had not heard of them or had any idea of the story behind them, assuming they were to do with astrological predictions. However, it seems they are more of an indication of potential and personality.

The idea of Sabian symbols grabbed my attention and she explained that the ancients divided the sky into 3600, as with any other circle, and assigned 3000 each to the twelve constellations or zodiac signs.

Based in this division, the Sabian Symbols are a set of 360 phrases that correspond with each of the degrees, from Aries 1 to Pisces 30. Each one of the Symbols holds both a story and a unique energy field of their own, with images that hold significant meaning. Although the Symbols have their foundations in astrology, absolutely no knowledge of astrology is needed to use them.

Marc Edmund Jones, a noted American astrologer and spiritualist and the gifted clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler created Sabian Symbols over the course of one day in 1925 in Balboa Park, San Diego, California. In his book, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology (1953), Marc wrote “I had prepared a set of 360 3” x 5” cardboard cards that were blank except for a small notation of the sign and number on one side, from Aires 1 to Pisces 30. I shuffled the cards and placed one in front of Elsie, neither of us knowing the sign or number on the card. One card was put face down before her and she reported on the picture she saw by inward vision. This was noted hurriedly in pencil on the card itself.”

During the whole process, Marc kept shuffling the cards, so the Sabian Symbols were intuited completely at random and

without connection to each other. The process of visualising and recording the Symbols took them four hours in the morning and four hours in the afternoon. On average forty-five Symbols were completed per hour, or one every minute and a half. What a truly amazing feat! Marc believed that Elsie must certainly have been tuned into a very different level of consciousness, which he felt was the ‘ancient mind matrix’ of the Sabian alchemists of ancient Mesopotamia.

Historically, the Sabian people were an ancient race of alchemists living in Harran, a city on the banks

of the Euphrates River in Mesopotamia. Harran was the source of ancient Chaldeans philosophy and where astrology is said to have originated. In early Babylonia the Chaldeans followed the moon-cult and in fact, the name Chaldeans means ‘moon-worshippers’.

As the religion waned, the Sabian people maintained and developed the tradition of Chaldean astrology, along with a sophisticated system of alchemy that linked the known seven planets to metals, colours and numbers. They also built temples to the planets, the last of which was destroyed by the Tartars in AD 1032.

This fascinating history of the Symbols spurred me on to discover how they could be of benefit or even have any relevance today. I wanted uncomplicated information

and, after a little researching, I discovered the Sabian Mysteries website, operated by author James Burgess. Being technologically challenged, I loved his user-friendly format, allowing the seeker primarily to find their own Sabian Symbol at the precise time of their birth. It is also possible to look up any other day, past or future, to find the energetic quality and influence that is present.

has its own unique the naïve image, which seems to touch the soul by its simplicity, along with an in-depth meaning. There is also a video of James explaining each symbol. This gently spoken man brings forward a simple wisdom that is comforting and gently guides the seeker to move towards a deeper understanding of self.

Please look up your own symbols and you may be equally fascinated and amazed by the accuracy of the symbols. I also hope you receive the insights Sabian Symbols have afforded me.

Based in my birth date, time and place of birth, I discovered my Sun was at Cancer 17 and gave the Sabian Symbol named ‘The germ that grows into knowledge and life’. My Moon was placed at Scorpio 20 and offered ‘A woman drawing two dark curtains aside’. As I read them, the information resonated strongly with me, especially my deep desire for learning and discovery that has always been present.

21st Century Parenting

The LoneLy ChiLd

We’d trekked 16km through the snow and were now perched at the summit of Mt Ruapehu, a volcano in the centre of the North Island in New Zealand. I was at the limit of my mental and physical capacity; my food and drink had nearly run out and an icy wind whipped around us as a result of the extreme altitude. Despite all of this, I looked out across the country from a height of over 2000 metres, feeling like I was on top of the world! It was the least alone I had ever felt in my life. Why?

I was 14, attending at an all-girls’ school and had opted in for an adventure camp led by our maths teacher. There were some potentially stressful warnings before we left about intense sunburn to the face, because of the glare of the snow and unpredictable storms that could impact our plans. On our last day there, the whole group was given the choice of either returning to the cabins to play board games or continuing with the intention of reaching Crater Lake, a crater between the peaks that fills with water between eruptions. The excitement of reaching the top of Ruapehu, translating in Māori as ‘Exploding Pit’, took us over and my friend Emily and I, along with one other girl, excitedly accepted the challenge being led by Mr Williams.

Opportunities for socialising are everywhere at high school, strangely though, having spent the last four months working in one, I’ve never seen so many lonely souls in my life. Meaningful connection to others is so often cited as the key to everything, so what if this is out of their hands? Unexpectedly, life may have created challenges for parents and carers, meaning that the adults’ capacity to consistently engage with their children is limited.

Could connection to something else, such as the natural world, be the segway our young people can utilise to fill that

gap temporarily? In my limited experience and observation, loneliness is a most important condition in teenage life and so often it hides behind a variety of symptoms… too much make up, picking on the vulnerable, refusing to eat, disrespecting staff, refusal to learn, stealing, fighting, destroying equipment, vaping, drug and alcohol use.

There’s nothing to be done when young people do not have a meaningful connection at home. Unfortunately, this often means they haven’t learnt how to safely connect with peers either. Older students seem to have gained some skill in that, yet what are the options for younger people searching with limited social skills that currently prevent that connection?

Research suggests this elusive happiness is a pursuit for serotonin and the main reason they turn to social media; it seems they form a relationship with their phone in lieu of connection. The knock-on effect of this can be a reduction in attention span and disconnection from reality, while possibly compounding feelings of isolation. Healthy access to serotonin through activities such as my trekking camp, sets the system up for wellbeing from increased feelings of satisfaction and inner peace.

Like any quality relationship, making friends isn’t something that can be hurried or forced. The pressure to pair or ‘group up’ often leads to poor choices, putting so much reliance on others with equally limited social and life skills. Setting aside

stereotypes and looking a little closer, the typical lonely child standing alone in the yard is not powerless. There are four areas, aside from connection to nature that seem to create a buffer to isolation in kids and young people.

1. Sports, including dance, skating, circus training etc.

2. Creativity including drama, knitting, sketching etc.

3. Having a paid part-time job

4. Being immersed in school life, perfectly diligent to every learning task, or in a position of importance such as a school leader

Ironically, shifting focus to those areas that generate purpose or self-confidence means that like-minded people find each other. Connection is forged as a side activity, rather than through a fear of being alone.

Being at the top of a mountain isn’t something I sought to repeat, rather, the seed that was planted that day was the wonder of nature. Teaching it to my own family can’t exactly be explained with words, I also need to insist on outdoor activities, made easier lately with riding bikes on the trails. However, planning and implementing outings takes a lot of my time and energy and is often met with complaining. The payoff though, is the attitude upgrade that the kids return home with, every single time.

“Research suggests this elusive happiness is a pursuit for serotonin and the main reason they turn to social media…”

A woman scorned and unfairly treated for simply being herself carries a particular type of ire. In astrology this is represented by Eris, the dwarf planet named after the Greek goddess of strife and discord, angered at being excluded by others who found her unacceptable.

Beginning in August, strongest in September and October, and lasting into December, we all have a window to better assert and mature aspects of this energy as the supportive lunar north node joins Eris at 25º of Aries.

The Uninvited Feminine Asserts Her Truth

The nodes of the moon represent the evolutionary path of the soul, with the north node or ‘dragon’s head’ point drawing us forth to positive growth and the south node or ‘dragon’s tail’ purging the tired past.

Wherever we’ve shut up and put up to keep our place in the group, Eris and the north node will bang the freedom drum and howl the battle scream extra loudly to ensure we address what’s unfair and oppressive.

This positive karmic energy is helping balance the pain of our uninvited feminine aspects

across lifetimes, from relatively minor experiences like being subtly excluded, through to suffering religious and political persecution and many other expressions of disrespect and suppression.

Fairness Agitator

In lower expression, Eris’ anger shows up as rabble rousing, aggression and vengefulness. In the Greek myth, she was furious at not having been invited to a wedding due to being ‘troublesome’. Hardly fair considering her brother Ares, the dangerous god of war, was on the guest list.

Eris threw a golden apple among the guests addressed ‘To the fairest’ to cause mayhem as they fought over the title.

A New Earth – Now 78
“The latter part of 2023 helps us bring Eris’ angry pain and unfinished stories to the surface to be integrated maturely so we can make real change…”

Eris in the sign of Aries, where she has been since 1922 due to a 558 year orbit, expresses in shadow with volatile anger, yet we can apply a more righteous approach to retribution.

The latter part of 2023 helps us bring Eris’ angry pain and unfinished stories to the surface to be integrated maturely so we can make real change, rather than it erupting unconsciously as strife or childish and selfish rage.

In an interesting synchronicity, in August the latest alleged new strain of Covid-19 was named Eris. Let’s hope this heralds more people standing up for truth around the entire situation.

Riley Gaines Nails It

From 2017 to November 2024, transformational Pluto is in a tense and productive square aspect to Eris, bringing themes into the mass consciousness around the feminine rising to claim her place.

A brilliant example of this is seen in American swimmer Riley Gaines, a fiercely dignified voice against men identifying as women competing in female sports.

Riley carries strong Eris energy and expresses it in an evolved manner, making her effective in using indignation to make change.

Her natal chart has the planet of women, Venus, exact on her natal Eris at 19º Aries, just two degrees from her mid-heaven or career and public reputation point. That she fights for women’s rights to compete fairly in the realms of her career in highly visible ways is spot on.

In an interview she summed up key Eris themes in saying

known as Xena after the heroine of the TV series Xena: Warrior Princess, perfectly played by Lucy Lawless.

The recent discovery of Eris in our astrological awareness is in alignment with the rising of the feminine energy back into equality with the masculine in a 24,000 – 26,000 year galactic cycle of evolution called the Grand Precessional Cross.

We are right now in the era of the destined reunion of the feminine and masculine polarities, having experienced what it’s like to believe them separate for the last 12,000 years.

Evolved Eris is destined to rise from the depths to clear the air on grievances and make right what’s been wrong, and these next few months give us all a boost to assert this necessary change.

“By asking us to smile and step aside and allow this man onto our podiums, taking our spots in the pool, our scholarships, our trophies… is asking us to lie.”

“It hit me in that moment on the podium - if we aren’t willing to stick up for this ourselves, we can’t expect someone else to.”

Destined Rising

Eris was only recently discovered in 2003 and before being formally named, was
