The Medical Marijuana Era Though It Has Its Many Skeptics, Some Patients Are Finding Life Easier To Live

By Larry Blustein sfsuntimes@aol.com It seems like it’s been decades since the topic of “Medical Marijuana” was

introduced to the state of Florida. You remember the debate with Central Florida attorney John Morgan

and a Pinellas County Sheriff who almost singlehandedly set the issue back decades - if not almost took it out of the

voter’s hands? But thank goodness the issue reached people who knew about medical marijuana - and not some

attorney who was trying to win your favor by backing something that he had no clue about. While many still be-

You Can Control Harmful Mold & Mildew

By Calling 1st Priority Restoration (1-800-617-1112), You Are Making The Right Choice

As we head toward the middle of May, the temperatures start to rise and the afternoon rains begin to fall. Yes, we are in the rainy season. Heavy rains with thunder and lightning signals that the summer is not too far away – and that means flooding and the potential of mold and mildew. As many of us brace for the hurricane season ahead, we need to turn our attention to the summer – when the heat and humidity of the day will bring those showers that often cause flooding. When it comes to mold and mildew, we cannot take those potential hazards lightly. For people sensitive to mold, inhaling or touching mold spores can cause allergic reactions, including sneezing, runny nose, red eyes, and skin rash. People with serious mold allergies may have more severe reactions, including shortness of breath.

There are ways we can prevent the spread of mold, and what you can do to get rid of it. Keep an eye out for hidden leaks: Wet spots on your ceiling, at the baseboards or on the floor are a telltale sign of a leaky pipe or roof. Your home pipes

are behind drywall, which can leave a small leak unnoticed. Mold can grow behind those walls and filter into the air through ducts or pipes. At 1st Priority, they can come in and assess the situation before it gets worse. Did you know that many air conditioners, especially 1st Priority, Pag 4B
