Tranquility on Tap at W South Beach Resort

Iconic South Beach property maintains its stronghold as the pinnacle of luxury in Miami

Nestled right by the Atlantic Ocean sits the world renowned W South Beach, a 5-star resort that embodies the essence of Miami’s vibrant culture. After undergoing a $30 million renovation in 2020—which included the redesign of 408 guest suites; refreshed leisure spaces; the addition of its state-of-the-art “Away Spa;” and the revitalization of its multi-million dollar art collection—this property has become a favorite among celebrities, influencers and discerning travelers from around the globe. Known for capturing Miami’s energy and evolving spirit, theW South Beach Resort continues to set new standards in luxury hospitality.

This elevated standard seems to start with the property’s commitment to exemplary service. “At W South Beach, everything is taken care of for you,” said Rick Ueno, General Manager of W South Beach. “Each guest receives a dedicated W Insider, available 24/7, who will take care of whatever, whenever—from picking up groceries to chartering a yacht to finding the best Omakase in town. No matter how busy Miami gets, W Insiders are connected to everyone and anything and can make reservations happen at any of Miami’s most desired places, many of which require reservations weeks in advance. And, W South Beach has six W Insiders—most hotels in the portfolio only offer one.”

With the largest guest rooms in South Beach that feature balconies and breathtaking ocean views along with a wide range of amenities, this property offers a truly magnificent escape in the Magic City. Its residences, suites and guest rooms are available in sizes ranging from 574 to over 3,000 square feet.

Each of the accommodations options are thoughtfully designed as urban seaside retreats. You’ll find beach house style millwork, natural oak finishes, a soothing palette of textures and charming seaside inspired accents highlighted by corals and tranquil teals. The resort incorporates these and other thoughtful elements to create a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere for its guests. This includes selected music playlists and beach-inspired artwork. The hotel also implemented new technical features to its guest rooms following its $30 million renovation. Guests can now take advantage of circadian lighting with three preset mood modes, and sand gradient blackouts if they want to block out the Miami sun.

For those seeking enhanced comfort and privacy there are five poolside bungalows with private entrances. These come with three floors and two bedrooms each, while also offering amenities like rooftop BBQs and private plunge pools.

The premium Penthouses, called E WOW and E WOW Ocean Escape, cover around 3,000 square feet and feature nine foot ceilings and expansive glass balconies providing spectacular views of South Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Providing a decidedly sophisticated living experience, the Penthouses exude a soothing ambiance with colors and textures that endear even the most discerning traveler.

When it comes to art, W South Beach is a haven for enthusiasts renowned for its collection displayed throughout its common areas. Curated by Aby Rosen, its collection notably includes works by Andy Warhol and Jean Michel Basquiat.

For foodies, W South Beach offers an array of dining options. You can indulge in cuisine at RWSB (Restaurant W South Beach), savor Beijing delicacies at MR CHOW, and unwind at the Living Room Bar or WET Bar & Grille. Guests should also be sure to sip and savor at Irma’s—a whimsical outdoor garden area created using salvaged wood and debris from Hurricane Irma—as it stands as a testament to Miami’s resilience.

No visit to the W South Beach is complete without a visit to its Away Spa—an oasis of relaxation offering a variety of organic rituals and wellness treatments like detoxifying massages, body healing treatments, skincare therapies and other sensory spa experiences. Hosted by world-renowned chef Massimo Bottura and his team from Osteria Francescana, this multi-layered sensorial dinner offers guests an intimate evening with award-winning culinary masters inW South Beach’s immersive new ballroom.”

“A must is a custom spa treatment at the stunning, minimalistic Away Spa,” Ueno urges. “We put a lot of intention behind the entire guest experience at this refuge, from the moment guests walk into the length of each treatment. Even the design of the spa was very intentional with only six treatment rooms to give it more of an intimate feel. My favorite treatment is the popular 90minute detox massage, where the therapist exfoliates your entire body then applies a rich blend of oils, finishing with a mud mask. Post spa treatment, guests can relax by the pool in one of W South Beach’s furnished plush cabanas.”

The resort also boasts a fully equipped FIT gym spanning 2,500 square feet. It includes Pelotons, a hydro electric rower, a Fitness Mirror, Soul Cycle bike, techno fit equipment and more. The property’s SAND beach area, located steps away from the hotel, provisions guests with beach equipment as well as food, beverage and other attentive services to ensure an immersive beach experience.

Speaking of being in close proximity to the best Miami has to offer, the property is decidedly well positioned. “For over a decade,W South Beach has drawn the world’s most sophisticated travelers and has been the social center of Miami’s major cultural events, including Art Basel, South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Miami Swim Week,” notes Ueno. “This year, the property will be hosting one of the most exclusive Miami F1 events, ‘Once

The property is also amping up its game for group events. As a part of its $6 million meeting space renovation, W South Beach became the first hotel in North America to implement 360-degree immersive videomapping technology—changing the game for weddings, meetings, and activations in Miami. “The new ballroom uses an innovative, built-in projection system to transform the 4,300-square-foot blank canvas into any setting—from an underwater oceanic moment to the backdrop of any city in the world,” said Ueno. “The set-up is simple and the projections can be easily controlled from the touch of a button. High-tech meetings are the future and if companies want to impress and engage with their audience, our state-of-the-art ballroom is an incredible option.”

In all, W South Beach Resort is a luxurious beach retreat that exceeds expectations. What is perhaps most impressive at this property is its commitment to guest experience excellence. Its staff is renowned to consistently go the extra mile to provide personalized service. It’s no wonder the W South Beach has also become a social hub attracting sophisticated travelers, celebrities and influencers, alike.

And, this property boasts quite the celebrity pedigree. “As the leader in the market,W South Beach has become known for celebrity guests like Justin Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio, Steven Tyler, Bono, Lizzo, Pharrell, Mark Walhberg and Tom Cruise,” notes Ueno. “It’s where LeBron James celebrated after announcing that he was taking his ‘talents to South Beach,’ and where Drake has played on New Year’s Eve. It’s where Sports Illustrated forever changed the rules of the catwalk when model Mara Martin strutted on the runway while breastfeeding during SwimWeek.”

From A-list stars to vacationers, staycationers and locals, discerning travelers are consistently drawn to this property to indulge in its sophisticated design, outstanding service and lively atmosphere. As a result, W South Beach Resort has solidified itself as an iconic destination in South Miami’s dynamic landscape.

ArtServe Presents “Walk The Runway”

Showcasing Local Fashion Designers To Celebrate Sustainable Fashion And Local Design Culture

ArtServe is proud to announce the opening of “Walk the Runway,” a wearable art exhibition celebrating South Florida’s fashion-forward creative community. The exhibit runs from Friday, July 18th, 2025 through Friday, September 19th, 2025, with a free, public opening reception on Friday, July 25th, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Generously supported by Broward County Cultural Division, The Elizabeth Cotter Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward, Hudson Family Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward and Topo Chico, “Walk the Runway” will showcase one-of-a-kind garments, accessories, shoes and more, created by South Florida artists and fash ion designers. From hand-knit sweaters and painted sneakers to custom jewelry and upcycled couture, the exhibition explores fashion as a vibrant form of per sonal expression and cultural commen tary.

Featured Solo Artist: Chelsea Rousso

Among the solo exhibitions, ArtServe will present the work of Artist and fashion designer Chelsea Rousso, whose instal lation will feature her whimsical and thought-provoking Alice in Wonderland collection. Known for her bold use of color, texture and storytelling, Rousso’s work blurs the line between fantasy and fashion, inviting viewers into a surreal world of wearable art. Her pieces reflect her background in both fine art and fash ion design, and her commitment to push ing creative boundaries.

Young At Art’s “Reef Restyled” Returns:

“Walk the Runway” will also feature selected pieces from Young At Art Museum’s 18th Annual Recycled Fashion Show, “Reef Restyled,” a teen-led fashion fundraiser that brought sustainability and ocean advocacy to the runway earlier this Spring. This year’s “Reef Restyled” featured 17 young artists, all high schoolaged, who created garments made of at least 75% upcycled or recycled materials. The recycled, reef-inspired creations were crafted from beach debris, thrifted materials and secondhand fabrics, offering a bold and beautiful look at the intersection of environmental activism and fashion design.

“Fashion as a form of storytelling,” said ArtServe CEO Jason Hughes. “Each

stitch, silhouette, and fabric choice tells a story of identity, culture and vision. This exhibit celebrates both emerging and established designers who are shaping our community’s creative identity and driving change through art.”

As Broward County’s premier arts and culture incubator, ArtServe is committed to uplifting local artists and making art accessible to all. From free exhibitions and receptions to business workshops for underserved communities, ArtServe believes creativity should be a catalyst for opportunity.

ArtServe is located at 1350 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304 and is open Monday through Friday from

9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily admission is Free. For more information about these events, or to become a member, volunteer, or support ArtServe’s mission, please visit: www.artserve.org - Or email: membership@artserve.org.

(BPT) - In the pursuit of holistic wellbeing, advanced technologies are revolutionizing the way we care for our bodies. One of the pioneers in this category is a company that was founded in the south of France in 1986.

LPG® features non-invasive treatments that have gained global recognition for the ability to sculpt, rejuvenate, and revitalize your body and face. Now LPG® has taken wellness one step further with their newVitality, Stress, Sleep (VSS) Protocol, a comprehensive approach to restoring balance and enhancing quality of life.

The VSS treatment protocol is designed to target three key qualities of well-being: vitality, stress management, and sleep quality. Through a series of personalized sessions, this treatment stimulates the skin and underlying tissues using LPG®’s patented endermologie® technique, which promotes natural biological responses, improving circulation, relieving tension, and fostering relaxation.

Owner of Beyond Massage Aspen in Colorado, Erica Boulangee M.Ac, L.Ac, LMT, Licensed Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist, utilizes LPG® technology for her clients to help them meet their wellness goals.

“Since integrating LPG® endermologie® into our operations, the results have been nothing short of transformative. I am thoroughly impressed by how quickly the treatment delivers results.”

The signature VSS treatment works through mechanized massage that enhances lymphatic drainage, reduces muscle tension, and encourages the production of endorphins - our body’s natural feel-good hormones. The result is a renewed sense of energy, reduced stress levels, and deeper, more restorative sleep.

“The VSS treatments, lasting only 40 minutes, fit seamlessly into my clients’ busy lives while fostering overall wellness and balance. We have received tremendous feedback from our clients, who con-

sistently report significant stress reduction in a remarkably short amount of time,” Erica adds.

During a clinical study about the benefits of LPG®’s unique VSS treatment protocol.* After one 40-minute endermologie® session, patients’ cortisol levels decrease by 19%, helping to lower stress and promote relaxation. Muscle aches were reduced by 38.1%, making it an excellent option for those suffering from chronic tension or discomfort.** The VSS Protocol focuses on invigorating the body by stimulating microcirculation and oxygenating tissues.

This process enhances cell regeneration, resulting in improved energy levels and a natural glow.

According to Professor Christophe Hausswirth, the study’s Independent Clinical Research Director, “This is the first trial to conclusively prove that a series of mechanical massage treatments designed to target the lymphatic system

can have such significant effects on so many aspects of mental health.”

Quality sleep is the foundation of good health, yet so many people struggle with restlessness and poor sleep patterns. The VSS Protocol gently stimulates the nervous system to restore balance, encouraging deeper and more restful sleep cycles. By promoting relaxation and reducing muscle tension, it prepares the body for restorative rest, ultimately leading to better recovery and overall wellbeing.

Whether you’re looking to restore energy, manage stress more effectively, or improve your quality of sleep, the LPG® world of non-invasive health and beauty technologies offers a scientifically proven way to enhance your well-being.

This culinary sanctuary, nestled within an Art Deco landmark, is elevating the city’s dining and nightlife scene to exciting heights from one tasty— and perfectly over-the-top—destination.

Bagatelle, renowned worldwide for its French Mediterranean delicacies and lively ambiance, is led by the expertise of Corporate Executive Chef Rocco Seminara and Executive Chef Jimmy de Almeida. Together they have crafted a menu that infuses Miami flair into each dish. From mouthwatering starters like Eggplant Parmigiana in a Parmigiano Reggiano cream sauce and Yukon potato stuffed with pan seared foie gras with a truffle Albufera sauce, and a selection of available caviars, the experience starts off decidedly strong. The main course presents delicious confusion as all of the options tantalize. Even so, my personal penchant are the pasta entreés, with the Lobster Fettuccine with a basil infused shellfish broth prepped tableside—and the Tiny Raviolis “ Del Plin” with Castelmagno cheese and topped with an abundance of freshly-shaved black truffle—paramount among them. To finish, whether you want something decadent like the Jivara chocolate pizzetta with caramelized hazelnuts—named a World Champion Pizza Dessert in 2019 by Manon Santi—or something light and refreshing like a Lychee Sorbet, there’s certainly something for every palate. Overall, the Bagatelle Miami menu on the whole offers a symphony of flavors combining top-quality ingredients with culinary ingenuity.

However this establishment goes far beyond offering expertly designed dishes. Here, it’s not just dinner; it’s a multi-

sensory, wholly immersive gastrotainment experience.

Beyond the Plate: A Holistic Experience

Bagatelle Miami offers more than a culinary adventure; it provides a complete journey where guests can groove to the beats, dance right at their tables and revel in an eclectic and vibrant musical program curated by talented DJs.This adds to Bagatelle’s trademark ambiance. Throughout the venue performers and dancers of various styles captivate your imagination while you savor premium spirits and indulge in elevated victuals. With its fusion of French Mediterranean cuisine, personalized service, lively entertainment and joie de vivre, Bagatelle Miami has become a one-of-a-kind destination making waves in Miami’s eclectic dining and nightlife scene.

A Feast for the Senses: Décor That Delights

Designed by acclaimed French designer Sam Baron, the 200-seat venue encompasses a conservatory, bar area, dining room as well as a private dining space. Each area showcases Baron’s talent in blending Art Deco charm with

Bagatelle’s lively spirit. The interiors feature a combination of greens and blues complemented by neutral tones, natural wood elements and elegant gold accents. Luxurious materials like marble and brass elevate the elegance of the space while creating an atmosphere that radiates warmth and conviviality.

Baron’s attention to detail can be seen in every aspect of the design, from the white canopy structure that pays homage to Miami’s architectural heritage to the intricate ceiling paneling in the welcoming lobby and lounge area. The main dining room boasts soaring ceilings, floor to ceiling curtains and a stunning collection of brass chandeliers that converge to create an extravagant yet intimate ambiance. Within this space, alcoves offer pockets of privacy while a cozy salon provides a retreat for patrons. Specially designed curved furnishings, luxurious velvet upholstery, delicate canework and exquisite brass accents pay tribute to French design traditions while still embracing a coastal lifestyle aesthetic.

excel in their craft. Corporate Executive Chef Rocco Seminara, who hails from Provence, brings flavors of Mediterranean cuisine to the forefront. With accolades like the Neptune prize in 2016 under his belt, Chef Rocco’s culinary journey has taken him through establishments such as Hôtel Martinez in Cannes and Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo. Collaborating with Chef Rocco is Executive Chef Jimmy de Almeida, whose global culinary background spans St. Tropez, Geneva, Abu Dhabi and Paris. Together they curate the Bagatelle menu that showcases the duo’s creativity and unwavering commitment to quality.

Established in 2008 within New York’s Meatpacking District, Bagatelle has grown into a hospitality brand with a presence in 15 pristine locales around the world— from exclusive ski resorts to stunning beach towns like Miami. With 15 venues worldwide, and plans to open numerous additional destinations annually, Bagatelle Group continues to celebrate the South of France’s epicurean spirit in spectacular form.

Michelin–Recognized Kaori Brickell

The Beloved Pan-Asian Restaurant With Innovative Cuisine And Curated Playlists

Located in the heart of Brickell, Kaori is a Michelin–recognized Pan-Asian restaurant and Hi-Fi listening bar known for its innovative cuisine, dynamic cocktails, elevated hospitality, and curated playlists. Always keeping things provocative, fresh and delicious, Kaori has just debuted a visually striking and meticulously composed multi-course tasting menu priced at $90 per person, that highlights locally sourced ingredients and bold flavors that pay homage to South Florida. Curated by Executive Head Chef Seth Fatah, this indulgent gastronomic experience is carefully crafted to showcase the season’s freshest ingredients while keeping Asian culinary traditions and flavor at the forefront.

The evening begins with a first course trio, intricately designed to awaken the palate: a Roasted Black Sesame Tartlet filled with beef tartare, kimchi, and shiso;

a Wonton Tartlet layered with koji corn puree, seasoned baby heirloom tomatoes, corn silks, and pimento powder; and a Raw Oyster finished with turmeric mignonette, ginger, carrot, and black garlic mayu oil. Next, the popular Japanese Milk Bread, served warm with housecultured butter, smoked shoyu–ume honey reduction, and Maldon salt – a comforting yet refined interlude. For the third course, the Shiro Ponzu Crudo, showcasing a local catch accented with Makrut-raspberry gel, fresh seaweed, and yuzu oil, and for the fourth, Braised Short Rib Dumplings, delicately folded and served with Doubanjiang shoyu, chili crunch, and microgreens.

For the main course, two standout entrées are available, each artfully composed and rooted in depth of flavor. The first, a Seared Local Fish, is paired with porcini and shiitake mushrooms, draped

in umami-rich kombu oil, and accompanied by smoked fish bone dashi congee. A turnip and amazake purée, along with purple daikon dressed in yuzu vinaigrette and yuzu oil, provide vibrant contrast and balance. Alternatively, guests may indulge in Kaori’s signature Suya-Spiced Strip Loin, a show stopping dish that marries bold spice with sweetness. It’s served alongside a BBQ sweet plantain glazed with vanilla–miso, charred seasonal vegetables, guajillo oil, seasonal berry gel, and a vivid fermented pepper sauce. To cleanse the palate, a refreshing Kalamansi Sorbet – paired with a bright Kalamansi

Pâte de Fruit – delivers a bright, citrusdriven transition into dessert. The experience concludes with a Mille-Feuille, featuring roasted white chocolate, candied and caramelized nori, smoked milk ice cream, and a silken caramelized white chocolate cream.

Each dish in the delicious tasting menu reflects Chef Seth’s evolving culinary vision, with presentations and pairings that shift with the rhythm of the season. As such, the menu may vary slightly from night to night, offering returning guests something new to discover each time they visit.

Dock Dreams: 3 Florida Lakefront Locations Are Luring Second-Home Buyers Nationwide

There’s something timeless about the allure of a lakefront home in summer. For many people, it’s the ultimate escapewhere mornings start with coffee on the dock and days end in golden-hour swims. Lakefront homes have long ranked among the most desirable types of second properties in North America - and the numbers back it up - waterfront properties can command a 36% price premium on average, according to Zillow.

Calgary Homes, a real estate platform, carried out a survey of 3,007 Americans and Canadians to identify the most sought-after lakefront real estate in North America. The top 10 were as follows:

#1. Big Bear Lake, California

Perched in the San Bernardino Mountains and just a few hours from Los Angeles, Big Bear Lake is a four-season favorite. Neighborhoods like Boulder Bay offer classic A-frames and modern homes, many with easy access to trails, town, and lakefront views. The blend of walkability and alpine charm makes it a consistent pick for second-home buyers.

#2. Lake Tahoe, California

LakeTahoe is a year-round dream with crystal-clear water and a mix of forest hideaways and luxury retreats. On the California side, places like Carnelian Bay and Rubicon Bay offer direct water access, with homes often passed down for generations. Whether it’s a sleek modern cabin or a grand lakefront lodge, property here is scarce and moves quickly — Tahoe isn’t just seasonal, it’s a lifestyle.

#3. Shasta Lake, California

As one of California’s largest reservoirs, Shasta Lake has a wilder, more remote feel. Properties here often sit above the shoreline with sweeping views of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Because of water level fluctuations, many homes are built with adaptable features like hillside paths and extended docks. It’s ideal for those who want space, solitude, and serious boating access.

#4. Tracadie Bay, Prince Edward Island

Though tidal, Tracadie Bay feels like a lake - calm, scenic, and low-traffic.

Shoreline homes around Brackley and Blooming Point offer privacy, beach views, and quick access to Charlottetown. Most are custom-built with sunrooms and private water access. It’s especially popular among seasonal buyers who want natural beauty with city proximity.

#5. Lake Weir, Florida

In Marion County, Lake Weir stands out for its sandy beaches and low-key atmosphere. Many homes come with large lots, private docks, and backyard boat access. It’s a peaceful choice for fulltime living, close enough to Ocala and The Villages without feeling overdeveloped or crowded.

2 more of the nations’ most sought after lakefront real estate locations are in Florida: #17. Lake Santa Fe

Spring-fed and known for its stable water levels, Lake Santa Fe has a reputation as one of north-central Florida’s hidden gems. It draws both seasonal and year-round residents, many of whom live in older homes shaded by oak trees with

classic boathouses. The area’s focus is simple: boating, paddleboarding, and enjoying life outdoors - without the tourist traffic.

#43.

Lake Dora

Lake Dora offers a walkable waterfront lifestyle in the heart of Mount Dora, a town known for its historic charm and marina access. Homes range from century-old estates to newer builds with boat slips, all tied together by a strong sense of community. It’s not a resort town - it’s a place where people put down roots and enjoy lake life year-round.

“Lakefront homes have a unique way of combining investment potential with emotional appeal,” says a spokesperson from Calgary Homes. “What we’re seeing is that buyers aren’t just chasing scenerythey’re looking for places that support a slower, more connected lifestyle. Whether it’s for seasonal use or future retirement, these properties offer a blend of longterm value and personal meaning that’s hard to replicate elsewhere.”

Pause Studio

Fort Lauderdale A Real Reset For Modern Life

In the heart of Fort Lauderdale, where the business of daily life pulses inter twines with sun-soaked vibrance, a new kind of wellness refuge has arrived—and it’s already making waves. Opened in April 2025, Pause Studio Fort Lauderdale is the national brand’s newest outpost and a much-needed sanctuary for mod ern recovery, restoration and rejuvena tion. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear: this is no ordinary wellness space. With accolades from Goop,WWD and the LA Times, Pause has earned its place as a leader in elevated self-care.

At the Fort Lauderdale location, Pause Studio brings its signature blend of cutting-edge therapies and spa-like tran quility to South Florida with a fresh energy. Guests are welcomed into private suites with thoughtfully curated amenities (hello, Le Labo toiletries) and a curated atmosphere that instantly softens your shoulders. But beyond the beautiful design, it’s the modalities that make Pause a stand-out in the wellness world.

Among the many services offered, four treatments at the core of the studio’s transformative potential piqued my interest: Cryotherapy, Red Light Therapy, Floatation Therapy and the Immune Boost IV Drip. Each one offers a powerful path toward recovery and self-care—and together, they create an unmatched holistic experience.

Cryotherapy: Three Minutes to Reset

Cryotherapy at Pause is not just a wellness trend—it’s a total-body experience that delivers a rush of rejuvenation in under three minutes. Stepping into their state-of-the-art Arctic or Cryo Built chambers, your body is exposed to ultra-low temperatures that trigger natural antiinflammatory responses, revving your circulation, metabolism, and mood. It’s not uncommon to feel an instant lift in energy and mental clarity right after a session. Clients often walk away feeling revitalized—both physically and mentally.

What makes it especially relevant in

Fort Lauderdale’s fast-paced, fitnessdriven culture is its proven benefits: pain relief, faster muscle recovery, weight management, collagen stimulation, and even immune system support. Whether you’re a runner, swimmer, bicyclist, surfer, a wellness junkie or simply sore from too much screen time, cryotherapy can be a fast-track to feeling revived.

Red Light Therapy: Cellular Recharge

Next on my list is Red Light Therapy, a technology-driven treatment that dives deep into your skin and cells to repair, restore, and regenerate. Using precise red and near-infrared wavelengths, Pause’s LED Light Bed stimulates the production of collagen, elastin, and ATP (the energy source of your cells). The result? Reduced inflammation, improved circulation and enhanced cellular health.

Said to be ideal for anyone struggling with chronic pain, joint stiffness, fatigue or skin concerns, red light therapy is as relaxing as it is effective. I found the time in the light bed to be highly soothing in itself. Pause reports that many clients report better sleep, elevated mood, and mental clarity after just a few sessions. It’s just 10 minutes of blissful stillness that

Floatation Therapy: The Art of Stillness

The Float Pod at Pause Fort Lauderdale is perhaps the studio’s most meditative experience. Inside a private, soundproof suite, you’ll float effortlessly in a warm pool of water enriched with over 1,200 pounds of Epsom salt. The result is that your entire body floats effortlesslyweightless, supported and still.

But this is more than a sensory escape. Floatation therapy allows for spinal decompression, increased circulation and a drop in cortisol (the stress hormone). As your muscles relax, your brain shifts into a theta wave state - the dreamy in-between where creativity, clarity and deep healing can happen. Pause indicates that clients emerge from their sessions lighter, clearer and often glowing with a renewed sense of calm. If stress has its grip on you, this can very well be your antidote.

Immune Boost IV Drip: Defense from the Inside Out

Pause Studio’s IV lounge is where science meets self-care, and the Immune Boost Drip is the standout star in my book. Packed with high-dose vitamin C,

glutathione and other essential antioxidants, this formula is designed to fortify your immune system, improve recovery and replenish cellular function.

Whether preparing for travel, recovering from illness or when you just feel off, this drip provides a fast, effective infusion of vitality. It’s a modern way to defend against burnout, brain fog and environmental stress - especially relevant in South Florida’s busy lifestyle and often oppressive climate.

Why Pause Fort Lauderdale Stands Out

Pause Studio Fort Lauderdale is more than a wellness destination - it’s a lifestyle ally. Every detail, from the clean Scandinavian design to the service-first approach, encourages guests to “pause” their external world and reconnect within. Here, wellness is not treated as indulgence - it’s a necessity, accessible and beautifully executed. Whether you stack multiple treatments for a full-body reset or pop in for a targeted session, Pause invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and emerge better than before.

In a world that never stops, learning to pause might just be the most powerful thing you do.

Got Hives?

What You’re Itching To Know About Chronic Urticaria

(BPT) - If you’ve had Hives, you know how challenging they can be. But you may not know that there is more than one type of Hives, or Urticaria, and that treatments are available. A brief episode of hives is a nuisance, but when symptoms persist for weeks, months or years, it can take a physical and psychological toll.

What is Urticaria?

Urticaria is a rash causing round, swollen areas on the skin. It can be tender, itchy and/or painful. People with light skin may see red, raised bumps or welts. In people of color, Hives may match the color of surrounding skin or appear slightly lighter or darker. They may appear all over your body or in one area. Urticaria occurs when chemical compounds involved in the body’s Inflammatory and Immune Responses are released. One of these chemicals is Histamine, which is released by mast cells and Basophils. When this release happens in the skin’s outer layers, it results in Hives

Most Hives resolve quickly, but they can become chronic. Acute Urticaria refers to Hives lasting one day to six weeks. Chronic Urticaria means the Hives have lasted for six weeks or longer. For many people, the cause is unknown.

Chronic Urticaria is a rare condition that occurs in only 23 out of 10,000 people, though the actual number may be higher, since many people do not report or recognize the symptoms. Chronic Urticaria is most common in adults aged 40-59. More women than men are affected, and more Black Americans and other ethnic groups are affected. There are two types:

• Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (also called Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria) is not triggered by external factors. In many cases, the cause could be an Autoimmune condition, another systemic disease like Cancer, or unknown.

• Chronic Inducible Urticaria is caused by certain environmental and physical factors.

Identifying Urticaria triggers Common triggers include:

• Allergens, including certain foods

• Exposure to heat/cold

• Tight clothing

• Insect stings and bites

• Infections and Viruses

• Medications such as Antibiotics and NSAIDs

• Diseases including: Asthma, Celiac Disease, Diabetes, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Thyroid Disease,Vasculitis and Vitiligo

• Stress

Diagnosis and treatment

The cause of your Chronic Urticaria may be hard to identify. It’s best to see a specialist such as a Board-Certified Allergist or Dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.

Your doctor may perform allergy tests, lab tests or a skin biopsy to rule out other conditions that involve or resemble Hives. You can help by keeping a diary that tracks your symptoms.

Chronic Urticaria eventually goes away by itself. Management focuses on the most appropriate treatment to control symptoms, usually starting with the first line of treatment: a long-lasting Antihistamine.

Antihistamines block production of Histamine to reduce or eliminate Hives and ease itch and swelling. Ask your doctor for a non-sedating Antihistamine.

Topical itch creams may provide mild

relief for Hives that do not cover the entire body. Corticosteroids: Topical Corticosteroids reduce inflammation, irritation and itching. By reducing inflammation, they also promote healing. For a severe Hives flare-up, a short course of Oral Corticosteroids (Prednisone) can help reduce inflammation and itching. These medications can cause serious side effects, especially if taken long-term. It’s important to follow your doctor’s instructions when taking Oral Corticosteroids.

Advanced treatments

It’s important to work closely with your doctor if your Hives don’t respond to treatment. If Antihistamines alone do not help, your doctor may recommend combining them with other medications, including Leukotriene Modifiers or H2 Blockers. New advanced treatments are available, and more are in clinical trials or undergoing FDA review.

Biologics: Omalizumab is a biologic medication used to treat Chronic Urticaria when Antihistamines haven’t worked. Two more biologics are in development as Chronic Urticaria Treatments: Dupilumab is in FDA review and Briquilimab is in clinical trials. Biologics work by targeting cells and interrupting the inflammatory process. This stops or reduces symptoms. Biologics are injectable medications typically given once per

month.

Cyclosporine: This is an oral medication that calms the Immune System to prevent Hives from occurring. It can be taken along with Antihistamines. Since Cyclosporine is an Immunosuppressive, it can decrease the body’s ability to fight Infections. Talk with your doctor about side effects and the benefits vs. risks of taking this medication.

Bruton’s Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) Inhibitor: Remibrutinib is an oral medication in clinical trials. It works by blocking the activation of Mast Cells and Basophils. These cells release Histamine and other inflammatory mediators that cause Hives, swelling and itching. By blocking this process, Remibrutinib can reduce or eliminate symptoms.

Hives and Mental Health

It’s important not to blame yourself for your Hives. If you’re feeling Anxiety, Depression or embarrassment about your skin condition, talk with your Healthcare Provider or a Mental Health Specialist. Support groups for people with Urticaria also let you share experiences and know you are not alone.

Don’t let Chronic Urticaria impact your quality of life. Talk to your doctor. Check out the Chronic Urticaria Toolkit at: https://ChronicHives.info.

What’s In My Bag? An Expert Dermatologist’s On-The-Go Essentials

(BPT)

When you’re constantly juggling work, school, and home responsibilities, it’s easy to overlook your own well-being. But neglecting self-care can quickly lead to burnout, ultimately throwing your entire routine off track.

Dr. Gabriela Soza, Manhattan BoardCertified Dermatologist and mother of two young children, knows firsthand how challenging self-care can be when you’re on-the-go. That’s why she recommends preparing a bag to carry all your essentials while you’re out and about.

But, what counts as an essential item? While those exact items may vary from person to person, Soza offers an easy organizational system.

“When organizing my must-haves, I tend to break them down into three core categories: health, wellness and skincare to freshen up throughout the day,” she said. “Once you’ve curated your items, use a removable bag insert or pouch to store them. That way, whether you choose a tote bag, backpack or large purse, you can easily transfer your essentials from bag to bag.”

Read on to learn about Soza’s personal “must-have” recommendations.

1. Health

Hand sanitizer: As a healthcare professional, Dr. Soza knows firsthand about the importance of hand hygiene. That’s why she emphasizes the

importance of keeping hand sanitizer to reduce the risk of getting sick or spreading germs.

Soza recommends finding sanitizers that also moisturize your skin to prevent your hands from drying out, like Touchland’s Hydrating Hand Sanitizer.

Water bottle: Hydration is the key to good health, including healthy skin. To prevent dehydration and ensure you have access to water all day, Soza suggests carrying a water bottle in your bag. Pick out a water bottle that has a secure top so you can throw it into your bag without worrying that it will spill over. Fill it up before you leave the house and refill it as needed.

2. Skincare

SPF:Whether you have an extensive or bare-bones skincare routine, SPF products should always be on your essentials list. Even if you put on sunscreen before leaving the house, you’ll need to reapply throughout the day.

Dr. Soza’s personal pick is Neocutis Réactive+. This antioxidant serum offers broad spectrum SPF 45 to protect against skin-aging free radicals and harmful sun damage that causes premature skin aging.

“For over a decade, I’ve been continuously impressed by the consistent efficacy of Neocutis products,” said Soza.

“As a dermatologist who constantly evaluates skincare for both myself and my patients, I appreciate that Neocutis products, such as Réactive+, are research-

backed and actively support the skin’s collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, all while protecting the skin from freeradicals and harmful sun damage.”

Eye cream: The delicate skin under your eyes can have trouble retaining moisture. To keep your under-eyes hydrated throughout the day and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, make sure to include an eye cream in your essentials.

Choose a hydrating and brightening cream like Neocutis Lumiére® Firm as a midday pick-me-up. Its advanced aging formulation moisturizes delicate skin while also improving firmness, elasticity and texture. Lumiére® Firm is also designed to reduce puffiness, making it the perfect solution for moms on-the-go who need a quick and effective refresh.

Facial mist: During a hot day, it’s hard to keep your makeup looking good while beating the heat. That’s why it’s a smart idea to keep a facial mist on hand to freshen up!

Soza suggests finding a mist with skincare benefits that can be applied throughout the day like Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray. With just a few spritzes your skin will be soothed, letting you look and feel your best from morning to evening.

Lip balm: Lip balm isn’t just for hydrating your lips. Of course, its main purpose is to keep your lips moisturized and protected, but it’s an incredibly versatile weapon in your on-the-go

arsenal. Soza’s “do-it-all” lip balm is Aquaphor as it can also tame flyaways, hydrate dry cuticles, and quickly fix a dry skin patch.

3. Wellness

Headphones: Physical health items aren’t the only essentials you need to pack. Dr. Soza advises keeping a pair of headphones in your bag to give yourself a private escape. It’s a great way to center yourself with music, podcasts or audiobooks, even in public places. For example, she listens to music to relax when she’s commuting or in between patients.

Immunity stick packs: If you haven’t used immunity stick packs before, it’s time to start! As a new mom, Dr. Soza knows how important it is for moms to bolster their immune system, especially if they have small children.

She advises searching for your favorite flavored, pre-portioned stick packs that have vitamin C, electrolytes, zinc and antioxidants to help ward off colds yearround.

What’s in your bag?

No matter how busy your day is, you can give yourself the tools you need to support your health, wellness and skin. Using Soza’s essential recommendations, you can ensure you always have what you need to take care of yourself, even during your busiest seasons.

Enhancing Cybersecurity: The AI Advantage

In today’s world where cyber threats are becoming increasingly complex and downright relentless, the appli cation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) toward cybersecurity strategies is a welcome advancement helping us protect our digital environments. Sophisticated machine learn ing algorithms and predictive analytics are empowering organizations to better predict, identify, mitigate and neutralize cyber threats quickly and far more accurately. “Cybersecurity is undergoing a paradigm shift, tran sitioning from threat reaction to threat prediction and prevention,” said Angel Vossough, Co-Founder and CEO of AI solutions developer BetterAI. “This change is set to be foundational to the industry, moving it toward secu rity solutions that are more proactive than ever before.” Here’s a deeper dive withVossough on how AI is enhanc ing cybersecurity and better safeguarding the collective digital landscape.

What are some of the top-line impacts AI is having on the cybersecurity function?

For one, the incorporation of AI into cybersecurity provides capabilities to detect and respond to active threats in real-time. AI is then also able to learn from these threats and identify vulnerabilities in systems before they are exploited. These abilities drastically reduce the time taken to identify and mitigate current and potential security breaches.

Predictive security measures are already a longstanding aspect of modern cybersecurity practices. However, even the best human-based techniques are unable to catch all potential vulnerabilities in systems of ever-growing complexity and size. AI is the next evolution in the cybersecurity arms race.

What are some of the challenges of integrating AI into cybersecurity methods?

AI’s superhuman skill in pattern recognition and mass data processing allows it to sift through vast amounts of data and pinpoint threats that may go unnoticed by human analysts. Whether detecting network intrusions or analyzing system behaviors to uncover vulnerabilities or malware, AI has a critical role to play. The need for AI in cybersecurity becomes even more pressing as cybercriminals increasingly adopt AI for their own malicious purposes.

However, the integration of AI into cybersecurity protocols does present its own set of challenges. Biases hidden within the black box of deep learning models have the potential to create a new set of blind spots that may be challenging to detect and correct. For example, if an AI system is trained on data that predominantly features attacks from a specific geographic region, it may develop a bias that leads to a higher rate of false positives or false negatives when analyzing threats from other regions. Additionally, AI may have difficulty grasping the human

motivations underlying certain cyberattacks, such as political, ideological, or personal factors that drive attackers. This limitation may negatively impact AI’s predictive capabilities, as it may not be able to anticipate attacks that deviate from purely technical or financial motivations. Overcoming these obstacles requires an effort that combines the enormous power of AI with the social awareness and technical expertise of human cybersecurity and machine learning professionals.

Can you cite a few AI cybersecurity solutions that are evolving in the space?

The incorporation of AI into cybersecurity solutions represents a major leap forward in addressing the constantly evolving cyber threat landscape. Already we are seeing AI cybersecurity tools hit the market, including NVIDIA’s Morpheus framework and IBM’s Security QRadar suite. Incorporating AI into cybersecurity is not merely about improving security posture, it is an essential step in protecting our digital environment from sophisticated threats. The future is here, and the industry is undergoing a rapid change to adapt. AI’s predictive capabilities enable organizations to proactively protect their networks and data from unauthorized access and exploitation. As the industry increasingly adopts AIdriven solutions, collaboration between AI experts and cybersecurity professionals is essential for developing robust, transparent, and responsible AI systems. Only through this collaborative approach can the full potential of AI be realized in creating a more secure digital environment for all.The incorporation of AI reshaping cybersecurity relative to the technology’s unparalleled ability to identify, address and rectify threats much more accurately and rapidly than ever before. AI-powered innovations are producing proactive and flexible cybersecurity systems capable of outpacing the ever-changing threat environment, fostering a much safer digital landscape.
