Helping Small Businesses Reach Big Dreams At Suncoast, we know that small businesses deserve big opportunities. That’s why Suncoast is here to support and nurture small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

With National Small Business Week happening May 1f7, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of our Micro Enterprise Development Program.

We offer workshops and educational opportunities for small businesses. We also offer a suite of ffinancial products designed with entrepreneurs in mind.

Microloans are one of the unique products that Suncoast offers to help business members get the lending they need with

non-traditional business lending requirements, like lower credit scores and less length of time in business.

Our expert team helps business owners with microloans ranging from $500 up to $35,000. Funds can be used for purchasing or upgrading equipment, buying or expanding inventory, or funding new vehicles. Funds can also be used for working capital or lines of credit to support daily operations.

They ofer professional development and business development to help others achieve their dreams. Suncoast was founded by educators in 193,4 so the educational community has always been important to us. We are proud to have provided FYG Consulting with a microloan to help them access the capital they need to grow their business.

Rate is subject to change quarterly and may change up to one half of one percent (.50%) at each change with a maximum of 2% annually. Available for Single Family, condominium and townhome/ villa properties occupied as the primary residence only. Property must be located in the state of Florida as the borrowers primary residence with homestead filed. Maximum loan amount is $250,000 if equity loan is in first position or Suncoast is the first mortgage holder. If the first mortgage is held by another lender, the maximum loan amount is limited to $100,000. Maximum LTV is 100% for qualified borrowers. Title Insurance is required on all loans where Suncoast is paying off another mortgage and/or properties that the title is in the name of a Trust or when the warranty deed or quit claim deed does not show marital status of the seller or the grantor. Applicable coverage of homeowners, flood, and windstorm insurance is required. *Suncoast will contribute up to $1,000 (Closing Costs Benefit) toward your closing costs when you select our variable rate home equity line of credit loan on your primary residence. Suncoast will not pay closing costs for discount points to obtain a lower rate or monies necessary to establish escrow accounts (taxes and insurance). If the loan is paid in full and the line of credit closed within 25 months of the first payment due date, Suncoast will collect the closing costs paid on your behalf in the payoff. The 25 month term begins with the first payment due date of the loan. Not to be combined with any other offers. Typical closing cost range between $230 and $994. Cost for appraisals and title insurance range from $350 to $1,900 depending on the loan to value and loan amount.

AARP BANK SAFE Nothing means more to us than keeping our members safe. That is why we are proud to be one of the first financial institutions to be recognized with the American Association of Retired Persons’ (AARP) BankSafe seal of approval.

In just one year, the AARP BankSafe program has stopped more than $110 million from being stolen from the accounts of older adults.

Every time you use your Suncoast Visa Debit Card or Suncoast Rewards Visa Credit Card, we donate two cents to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation.

These funds help local children, so you help us give back to your community just by using your card.

We donated more than $3.6 million to our communities in 2021, and over $36 million since the Foundation’s inception in 1990, all thanks to you!

In total, 962 Suncoast employees volunteered for a total of 12,371 hours in 2021!

This distinction was awarded to Suncoast because of training efforts to empower all Member Advocates in both our service center, Member Care Center and member-facing roles with specialized training on identifying fraud and protecting members’ assets, particularly for older adults. Suncoast is proud to be a part of this effort and excited to continue to keep our members safe by preventing financial exploitation, empowering family caregivers, helping those with dementia and making banking tools and environments easier to access.

CELEBRATE Get ready, because April is Youth Month! All April long, we’ll offer special incentives, activities and giveaways for our youngest members, aged 17 and under, to celebrate.

SUNCOAST IS PROUD TO BE GREEN Earth Day is April 22, but Suncoast shows how much we care for the environment all year long! We have more than 20 solar-powered branches and use solar power in most of our corporate offices. Our solar-powered service centers are on average 80% more energy efficient than a standard service center, which is great for the environment and saves money!
