EVERY HIT IS A WIN 2024: RECAP This baseball season, a win for the Rays was a win for the community, too! Each year, Suncoast partners with the Tampa Bay Rays to raise funds for nonprofit organizations in the communities we serve.

Every time a Rays player made a base hit throughout the season, Suncoast donated $90 to a donation pot, up to $10,000 per month. At the end of each month, two nonprofits competed for their percentage of the donations based on our members’ votes. With over 1000 of your votes each month, we’re proud to have donated tens of thousands of dollars in support of 12 different nonprofits across our Florida communities!

The nonprofits we donated to this year were the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, ZooTampa, Feeding Tampa Bay, Golisano Children’s Museum, United Way of Central Florida, YMCA of the Suncoast, Guadalupe Center, Celebrate Birthdays, Advantage Village Academy, Hardee Help Center, Dawning Family Services, and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Police Athletic League.

CYBERSECURITY AWA R E N E S S M O N T H

With cyber fraud and scams on the rise, Cybersecurity Awareness Month aims to help every American get the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. According to the Federal Trade Commission, people reported losing $10 billion to scams in 2023.

That’s over $1 billion more than 2022, and marks the highest losses ever reported to the FTC. Consumers reported losing the most money to investment scams than any other type of scam in 2023, followed by imposter scams.

These scammers take advantage of your trust by pretending to be someone close to you in an effort to steal your money.

It’s important to stay vigilant and keep an eye out for scammers pretending to be from Suncoast. A great way to stay safe is to learn how to spot malicious links and fake websites. Don’t click on links from unexpected text messages or emails, and never open any attachments if you’re weary about the sender. Only log in through our verified website at Suncoast.com or through the SunMobile app.
