This baseball season, rooting for the Rays was a home run for helping the community, thanks to Every Hit is a Win with Suncoast Credit Union! Throughout the season, whenever the Rays got a hit, we donated $78 into the monthly pot. Each month, members voted for one of three local nonprofit organizations and those votes determined what percent of the donations they received! There was an average of 1,700 votes per month and by the end of September, we donated over $70k to 15 nonprofit organizations throughout Florida. The nonprofits we donated to this year were Hope Partnership, NAMI Pasco, Pace Center for Girls of Lee County, Early Learning Coalition of Pasco & Hernando Counties, Heart of Florida United Way, Meals on Wheels of Tampa, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Harbor House of Central Florida, Valerie’s House, Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County, St. Matthew’s House, Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, Children’s Dream Fund, and Heavendropt.
