01 WHAT IS THE STRUDDYS MAGAZINE?

Simply put, we wanted to create a magazine that celebrates our Partners and Customers successes and triumphs, as well as a channel to announce new products and deals.

Of course, we like to have fun around here so we’ve also added interesting things from our community and beyond!

RIVALRY SPOTLIGHT

IPSWICH JETS BRISBANE SOUTH WILDCATS

FUELED BY PASSION

The Ipswich Jets and Brisbane South Wildcats have been locked in a fierce netball rivalry for years, which continues to be fueled by recent player movement between clubs, and a battle for SUPREmecy OF the LARGER Brisbane region.

» Last season, the Ipswich Jets managed to come out on top against their rivals, winning both games against the Brisbane South Wildcats and finishing higher on the ladder.

» In wake of this, their rivalry became even more intense with many of last years Wildcats roster jumping ship to the Jets for 2023. In response, the Wildcats have looked to the National market to bolster their roster.

» The Brisbane Wildcats had a suprisingly tough season in ‘22, they will need to work hard in ‘23 to regain their form of previous years where they were regulars at the top of the table.

» With fresh talent on the Wildcats side, and an established winning formula on the Jets side, both teams look to challenge the top of the Sapphire Series in 2023.

» The two Struddys teams are set to face off against each other in the opening round of the Sapphire Series, which promises to be an intense battle.

» We are excited to watch on as both sides will be looking to make a statement and gain an early advantage in the competition, and fans can expect a thrilling match.

RIVALRY FACTS

» Both compete in the QLD Netball State League, the Sapphire Series.

» Both represent neighbouring cities in South East Queensland.

» Both have many players who have transfered between franchises.

» Both are Struddys Partners.

» Ipswich Jets won both 2022 matchups: 53 to 37 & 47 to 40.

» They will meet each other in Round 1 of the 2023 Sapphires Series.

» Both teams are looking to get back to the top of the ladder in 2023.

Wildcats vs Jets Round 1 will take place Saturday April 22nd , 7pm, Nissan Arena

NSW Northern Eagles Wins the All Abilities Tier 2

STRUDDYS TEAMS PUT ON A SHOW AT THE 2023 NATIONAL TOUCH LEAGUE!

WE WERE PROUD TO SUPPORT 6 TOUCH ASSOCIATIONS AS THEY TOOK ON THE NATION!

» The National Touch League (NTL) is a nationwide tournament for the sport of Touch Football, held annually in Coffs Harbour NSW.

» There were 17 divisions across the first 3 days, with the tournament finishing on a thrilling day 4 of finals.

» We were proud to kit out and support 6 Touch Associations from across Australia who each had many teams across the divisions.

» Special shout-out to the NSW Northern Eagles All Abilities Tier 2 team who defeated the South Queensland Sharks to take home a National Championship! Huge Accomplishment!

PASIFIKA TEAMS ARE READY TO COMPETE FOR ULTIMATE BRAGGING RIGHTS THIS MONTH!

» We are starting 2023 off with a bang by bringing to life the Australia – Pasifika Touch Cup coming this month.

» Live Streamed from Bill Norris Oval in Beenleigh, this Touch Tournament will showcase the best talent from Australia and the Pacific Island region, all in Struddys Team Apparel.

» Men’s and Women’s Teams will be playing for bragging rights as they represent their nations in a pool format, with the top two teams from the rounds going through to a final.

» As part of the festivities, the Indigenous Invitational Team will face off against the Maori Invitational Team in Men’s and Women’s exhibition matches prior to the Grand Final.

» It will be a huge weekend of fun and top-level entertainment, so we hope to see you there or on the live stream! Keep an eye out for the game schedules to be released soon.

UNDEFEATED CHAMPS

In 2022, one of our partnered high schools did the impossible, they went undefeated at the highest level, winning local, regional, state, and national championships as they steamrolled their competition.

Spotlight:

» From Ipswich, QLD, Ipswich State High School has one of the top Rugby League programs in the country.

» Ipswich SHS competes in the coveted Langer Cup which plays host to the top 8 schools in South East QLD.

» They won their first ever Langer Cup in 2022 as an underdog beating PBC in the final.

» Ipswich SHS won every game they played in 2022 winning the Langer Cup, Phil Hall State Cup, and the National Championship Game.

» Ipswich SHS look to repeat their epic season as they step into the 2023 Langer Cup season.

» We are proud to support them again this year as they go for a repeat!

NSW GROUP 7 ALLSTARS VS INDIGENOUS ALLSTARS WAS A SPECTACLE!

Every year, Group 7 Senior Rugby League puts on a showcase of talent in the South Coast NSW region by hosting a day of all-star games. This year, we were proud to be the official apparel supplierof this fantastic event!

The Australian Police & Emergency Services Games Was A Huge Success in New Zealnd!

The Australian Police & Emergency Services Games (APES Games) was held in Rotorua New Zealand this year, and we were proud to be the exclusive merch partner for the games!
