01 WHAT IS THE STRUDDYS MAGAZINE?

Simply put, we wanted to create a magazine that celebrates our Partners and Customers successes and triumphs, as well as a channel to announce new products and deals.

Of course, we like to have fun around here so we’ve also added interesting things from our community and beyond!

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?

WHAT A START TO 2024! LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING AT STRUDDYS. WE MOVED TO YATALA

» We have always been customer focused, with visions of growing in every aspect. With growth means more space was needed, so we’ve upgraded our QLD HQ to a mega facility in Yatala!

» Over the next 9 months, we are moving 3 facilities into 1, with our manufacturing, warehousing, and offices all here at Yatala! That means over 95 employees will be stationed at our new HQ.

» Our new facility is over 3,500 SQM which is a huge upgrade from our 800 SQM previous facility.

» With the added space, we are able to give our customers the best possible experience and service!

WE ROCKED OUT IN LAS VEGAS AT THE NRL COMBINE 03

The NRL decided that a great first impression in the USA was needed for their newest initiative; a combine for USA based athletes competing for an NRL team contract. So, they chose us to create the on-field and off-field NRL Las Vegas Combine gear.

WE NOT ONLY WERE WE MERCH SUPPLIERS FOR THIS YEARS TOURNAMENT, BUT ALL COMPETING TEAMS RAN OUT IN STRUDDYS GEAR!

» The Murri v Koori Tournament was stacked with talent this year. Check out the scores for major games below:

Some very close games on the day, with spectators enjoying the talent on show!

We look forward to all of the lead up tournaments in the year, and of course can’t wait for more Murri v Koori action in early 2025!

SEQ SHARKS FEATURING STRUDDYS AMBASSADORS, SMASH IT AT NTL’S 2024

Each year we have many Struddys partner teams competing in the NTL Championships in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This year, Struddys parter team, SEQ Sharks, featured 4 of our Ambassadors across their different teams. We were excited to watch them play as they took on some of the best talent in the nation!

Results:

Winners: Mens 40’s, Mens 50’s, Mens 60’s, Runners Up: Mens 20’s, Masters mixed

SSA & QRSS CARNIVALS WILL HAVE A NEW LOOK IN 2024 AND BEYOND

We are proud partners with both School Sports Australia and Queensland representative school sports. We will be their exclusive merch suppliers and team apparel suppliers in 2024 and beyond.

We wish all athletes and coaches the best of luck in all upcoming tournaments.

INTRODUCING ECOFLEX 09

WE HAVE A SUSTAINABILITY OUTLOOK HERE AT STRUDDYS. WE TRULY BELEIVE THAT WE CAN HELP MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER, CLEANER PLACE ONE GARMENT AT A TIME.

We’ve worked hard to create a recycled polyester garment material option we have named ‘EcoFlex’.

EcoFlex is designed to help make the world a cleaner place through garments that are 100% made out of recyclable, plastic bottles. It meets Global Recycling Standards.

There is no difference in the look, feel, durability, or quality of our recycled polyester option, and can be used for Polos, T-shirts, and Singlets.

Each shirt roughly recycles 8-10 plastic bottles which we believe is a far better option than throwing them into a landfill.

This year, Struddys partner schools will potentially make up 6 of the 8 teams, with one competing in the qualifier games to solidfy their spots in the Langer Trophy in 2024. Our teams competing are:

NSW - PETER MULHOLLAND PREVIEW

NSW SCHOOL FOOTY IS ALWAYS GOING TO TAKE CENTRE STAGE. WITH TALENT EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK, WE CAN’T WAIT TO WATCH OUR TEAMS GO TO BATTLE IN 2024!

This year, Struddys will have 6 big time schools in the Peter Mulholland Cup in NSW. Our teams competing are:

12 AUS PASIFIKA TOUCH CUP WAS TIGHTLY

CONTESTED

OUR EXPLOSIVE TOUCH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT WAS BACK FOR A 2ND YEAR!

Last year, 4 teams competed with an exhibition game between Maori & Indigenous teams.

In 2024, we are going bigger and better, with 7 teams competing for the cup in both men’s and women’s competition. The teams for this years draw include:

» Cook Islands (last years champions in both comps)

» Samoa

» Nuie

» Papua New Guinea

» Norfolk Island

» Maori Invitational

» Indigenous Invitational

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT: NORTHERN BEACHES RENEGADES

Our NSW based Touch Football partners are one of a kind.

The Northern Beaches Renegades have recently dominated the 2024 NSW JSC, winning the overall points total for their region, and cementing themselves as Grand Champions of the event two years in a row.

They were Champions of 4 of the 10 age groups, and made semi finals at the least for each age group in the tournament. A truly dominant display in their regional tournament.

The 4 Champion Renegade teams went on to the NSW JSC Finals and 3 of these teams went on to win the State Championships in their age group! A remarkable feat!

As tournaments continue in 2024, we wish the Renegades the best of luck as they look to continue their dominance.
