01 WHAT IS THE STRUDDYS MAGAZINE?
Simply put, we wanted to create a magazine that celebrates our Partners and Customers successes and triumphs, as well as a channel to announce new products and deals.
Of course, we like to have fun around here so we’ve also added interesting things from our community and beyond!

RIVALRY SPOTLIGHT
THE BATTLE FOR LOGAN
MARSDEN SHS VS MABEL PARK SHS
MARSDEN SHS VS MABEL PARK SHS IS A RUGBY LEAGUE RIVALRY YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE HEARD ABOUT.

» Only 9.8kms apart and a 1 minute drive from campus to campus, it’s distance that makes this local derby so intense and fiercely contested.
» To add fire to this, both teams are partnered with the NRL team the Brisbane Broncos, with Marsden SHS having many alumni go on to play in the NRL including Cam Smith and Jaydn Su’A to name a few.

» Both teams also play in the coveted Langer Cup, the top division for High School Rugby League in South East Queensland of which Mabel Park have recently entered only a few years ago.
» Titled the ‘Battle for Logan’, these two teams meet only once per year during their regular season, drawing large crowds and media coverage.
» As both are Struddys Teams, we are excited to witness what we know will be another duel for the ages. Bring on The Battle For Logan 2023!

» 9.8km’s distance from each other, a 1 minute drive
» Both compete in the Langer Cup, the top division in South East Queensland
» Both are partnered with the Brisbane Broncos

» Both are Struddys Partners
» Both have alumni in the NRL
» Marsden SHS won their last matchup 50 to 14



» However, only one win (two points) seperated them on the ladder for the ‘22 season
» Marsden finished 4th on the ladder, and Mabel Park finished 6th in ‘22

WHAT IS THE STRUDDYS FUTURE PRO PROGRAM?
» Becoming a professional athlete is difficult. Our new Future Pro Program helps High School Athletes across Australia live their dream of playing professionally in their chosen sport.
» Spanning over a number of sports, our new prestigious program involves a combination of sponsorship, player development, and player pathways for the athletes involved.
» The Future Pro Program is
specifically designed to create channels for the athletes involved to go pro after high school.
» This new program will roll out over 2023/24 and encompass young athletes from all around Australia.
Stay tuned as we announce athletes who have made our Future Pro Program throughout the year!
LET THE INTERNATIONAL RIVALRIES BEGIN!
» We are starting 2023 off with a bang by bringing to life the Australia – Pasifika Touch Cup in March.
» Live Streamed from Bill Norris Oval in Beenleigh, this Touch Tournament will showcase the best talent from Australia and the Pacific Island region, all in Struddys Team Apparel.

» Men’s and Women’s Teams will be playing for bragging rights as they represent their nations in a pool format, with the top two teams from the rounds going through to a final.
» As part of the festivities, the Indigenous Invitational Team will face off against the Maori Invitational Team in Men’s and Women’s exhibition matches prior to the Grand Final.
» It will be a huge weekend of fun and top-level entertainment, so we hope to see you there or on the live stream! Keep an eye out for the game schedules to be released soon.

» Created as a two-panel option, the Nova Netball Dress is designed to solve the problem of players growing out of their dresses quickly in younger age groups, which can be costly to repurchase high-end dresses.


» The solution is a dress that is designed to keep costs down while keeping quality up.

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT: BRISBANE SOUTH WILDCATS NETBALL

In 2022, we partnered with one of Queenslands leading Netball organisations who compete in the top-tier Sapphire and Ruby competitions.
Spotlight:
» Spanning over seven local netball associations located in South Brisbane, the Wildcats are one of the leading netball organisations in QLD.
» The Wildcats have Sapphire and Ruby teams which is Netball Queensland’s coveted Div 1 & 2 State Leagues.
» The Wildcats have many of their players go on to play in the Super Netball competition, as well as for their respective



National Teams around the world.
» The Wildcats will be decked out in their Struddys gear again in 2023, and we are excited to watch them as they head into their 2023 top-tier competitions.

CHASING GREATNESS: HOLY CROSS COLLEGE CRICKET TEAM GO FOR FOUR SYDNEY C’SHIPS
IN-A-ROW.
In 2022, the First XI Cricket team from Struddys partnered Holy Cross College won the first ever 3-peat in their schools history. Now, they look to 2023 where they can further make their mark on history. Read below for more:
School Spotlight:
» Based in Ryde, NSW
» 734 Students
» Compete in the MCCSA Athletic Conference which is made of the top 8 Catholic Colleges in the Sydney region.

» Athletic Alumni include: Mitchell Moses, Mark Riddell, Aaron Woods, Benny Elias, David Gower, Luke Brooks, and many more.
» Their First XI Cricket Team is their first sporting team to win three MCCSA Championships in a row.
» They have a number of returning veteran players for 2023, and eagerly look towards winning another Championship.
» As a Struddys partner and member of the community, we wish them the best of luck in 2023 and will be watching on as they further chase history! Good luck boys!

We look forward to working with Deadly Choices throughout the rest of the year, helping to bring indigineous Rugby League tournaments to life around Australia!
The 2023 Murri VS Koori Interstate Challenge was a highly contested affair, with the Newcastle All Blacks coming out on top in the mens clash, and the Brisbane Natives winning the womens game.
