MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Families & Friends,

We have had a busy couple of weeks at St Michael’s. Firstly, thank you to our students in Years 3 and 5 who across the past two-weeks have participated in NAPLAN. Every student tried their best and showed determination even when they found a question challenging. Thank you to Mrs Fardig, Miss Dhunai and Mr Sheridan for supporting our students so well throughout NAPLAN.

Congratulations to our Interschool Swim Squad who came third in our Regional Interschool Swimming Carnival held on Friday, 14 March. Each student pushed their bodies to the limit, representing our school proudly. Special mention to Nicholas from Year 4 who was awarded Champion Boy. Thank you to Mrs Siciliano and Mr Sheridan for supporting our Swimming Squad.

On Tuesday, we held our first Bike Education session at St Michael’s. The program is a great opportunity for students to strengthen their bike riding abilities, as well as awareness of road safety rules. Thank you to Mrs Borg for organising this for our students and to all of the parents & guardians of students in Years 3 – 6 who made the effort to have bikes at school. The program will be held every Tuesday until the end of Term One.

Across this week we have celebrated Harmony Week. We are blessed at St Michael’s to have students, and their wider families, from a range of cultural backgrounds. ‘Unity in diversity is our strength. Together, we can create a world where everyone belongs.’ Harmony Week 2025

May you all have a lovely week ahead.

FAITH FOR THE JOURNEY

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we journey through this sacred season of Lent, guide us with Your grace and wisdom. Teach us the importance of self-reflection, repentance and renewal May we use this time to deepen our relationship with You, to grow in love and compassion for one another and to serve those in need with humble hearts

Grant us the strength to resist temptation and the courage to embrace sacrifice for the sake of our spiritual growth. Help us to understand the true meaning of fasting, prayer and almsgiving, as we strive to follow in the footsteps of Your Son, Jesus We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Lunchboxes

Due to allergies and the risk of anaphylaxis, please remember that nuts and products containing nuts are discouraged at St Michael’s School It has been wonderful to see so many wrapper free lunchboxes filled with healthy and nutritious options for our students.
