This past Memorial Day holiday weekend, our superior Operations Team seamlessly executed a secret mission to protect highly sensitive cargo for Abbott Nutrition. Late notice of the special project demanded swift mobilization from our team. Thanks to the efforts of Steven Spooner, Richard Delgado, Quentin Ford and Blake Williams, success was insured from end to end. A big shout out to the entire extended coverage operations support team for accomplishing this mission.

We are excited to announce, Shane Cross has joined Stevens Transport as Vice President of Dedicated Sales.

Shane brings over 20 years of accomplished Sales and Executive management experience in Transportation and Logistics with a focus in Dedicated sales, Private fleet replacement, Power only solutions, and Specialized dedicated services.

Shane’s career began at JB Hunt where he spent over a decade in a variety of customer facing and operational roles for all modes of dedicated transportation services advancing to Business Development Executive for Dedicated and Final Mile.

Shane went on to be VP of Sales for Noble Logistics where he had full responsibility for the sales team, business units and operational P&Ls. Diversifying the Sales portfolio through the launch of Dedicated, Final Mile, Network and 3PL opportunities.

The past seven years Shane served as Regional Vice President of Dedicated Sales for Hogan Transport, where he was very instrumental in the sales and revenue growth of Dedicated, Temp control, Dry Van, and Specialty Transportation services. Shane developed and implemented a Company Wide Enterprise Sales plan in order to promote cross-divisional prospecting/ selling which resulted in success across all modes of transportation services.

Shane is married to his high school sweetheart and resides in Northwest Arkansas. Both he and his wife Sarah graduated from the University of Arkansas and began their careers at JB Hunt. As avid sports fans, Shane and his wife spend their time enjoying sporting events and cheering on the Hogs!!

We are excited to welcome Shane and know he will add great value to our organization, leading the strategic growth plan in Dedicated services.

STEVENS TRANSPORT WELCOMES

We are pleased to announce Richie Henderson will be joining Stevens Transport, effective June 6th as our Chief Financial Officer.

For the past 28 years, Richie has been a leader in finance and business strategy, resulting in multi-billion-dollar growth. His experience includes corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, financial strategy, information technology, engineering, marketing, and HR at J.B. Hunt.

Over his career with J.B. Hunt, Richie served in many senior leadership roles. As Vice President of Finance and Administration, Richie was responsible for the Dedicated Contract Services Division, directing all finance, accounting and budgeting, pricing, market research, strategic planning, information technology and human resources for a 6,000+ personnel business unit. These strategies became standardized across the entire J.B. Hunt organization.

As Senior Vice president of Administration and Technology, Richie engineered supply chain methodologies and systems including leading development and architecting for the DCS back-office system and the JBHunt 360 digital e-commerce platform. Richie further created the strategic plan to own logistics end-to-end in the innovative last-mile home delivery program resulting in a division exceeding $1 billion in revenue.

Richie graduated from the University of Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance. He received his MBA from John Brown University, where he has also served as Adjunct Professor of Global Operations and Supply Chain Management and serves as Advisory Board Member.

Richie enjoys spending quality time with his family and giving back in his community, where he serves on the school board of Shiloh Christian and Project RED Friday - a non- profit organization focused on awareness and recognition for military service members. Richie is a published author in multiple trade publications covering supply chain, and we are excited to have him joining our executive leadership group.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation transforms lives by bringing joy and hope to children with critical conditions. The many magical moments the nonprofit creates affirm to children around the world that their dreams are both important and possible, despite their medical challenges.

This past May, Stevens Transport proudly had the opportunity to take part in this magic by participating in the Make-A-Wish 2023 Truck Convoy. The event transformed Manheim Pennsylvania Auto Auction into a celebratory space as children and families enjoyed delicious food, carnival games, and magical encounters with beloved characters and new friends. At the center of it all was the celebration of the current and former Make-A-Wish Kids!

One such inspiring Wish Kid present at the convoy was the remarkable young girl, Emma Rose Straub from central Pennsylvania. Emma has defied the odds and triumphed over a series of complex medical conditions since birth. Now, she stands as an inspiration to others, showcasing strength, resilience, and an unwavering positive spirit. Emma is a storyteller, a singer, and a fighter. Notably, Emma hasn’t been admitted to the hospital in four years, a testament to her perseverance.

Stevens Transport had the honor of personally celebrating Emma by curating an exhilarating adventure for her during the event. Emma joined our very own employee, Nikeyta Matthews, also known as “Pinky,” for

a ride in her bold and bright Pink Peterbilt truck coined “Ms. Clarissa.” Emma enthusiastically waved at the crowds lining the streets during the convoy as she rode alongside Pinky, so much so that her arms were tired by the end of it! Nonetheless, she enjoyed every second. “They went above and beyond to make me feel special,” says Emma. “Pinky gave me gifts like stuffed animals, a personalized keychain, even flowers for my mom on Mother’s Day.”

Pinky’s kindness and generosity towards Emma comes from the heart. Personal experiences with cancer have driven Pinky to raise awareness and provide solace. The profound impact of her Pink Peterbilt truck has garnered gratitude from both drivers and pedestrians. Stevens Transport has recognized her compassion, selecting her as their ambassador against cancer. Pinky has also inspired women across the trucking industry, as she showcases the benefits of business ownership through her unwavering dedication and through her advocacy for driver safety.

GHIYATH "GUS" HAIEK

Gus Haiek, who immigrated to the United States from Syria, is the latest addition to the Three Million Miler Haul of Fame at Stevens Transport!

Gus joined the Stevens Transport Driving Force in 2006 after spending a few years working in construction when he first came to the U.S. Gus has been a dedicated and loyal driver for the last 15 years, and he recently reached three million miles with the company. Gus was also able to send all five of his children to college as a driver for Stevens Transport, an incredible feat that he is very proud of.

When asked about his achievement, Gus had the following to say: “I am honored to have been inducted into the Three Million Miler Haul of Fame. It has been a long and fulfilling journey, and I am proud of the accomplishments I have made. I hope that my story can inspire others to work hard and reach their own goals.”

Gus Haiek has proved that it is possible to achieve great things with hard work and dedication. He is an inspiration to all who strive to reach their own goals and dreams.

Transitioning from a desk job in the military, Kenneth decided to pursue a career as a truck driver. His valuable advice to others includes the importance of continuous learning, emotional control, and patience. Spending quality time with his family holds great significance for him. Kenneth appreciates the strong support Stevens Transport provides to drivers. His most cherished memories involves receiving calls from former students who have learned from him. During his leisure time, Kenneth greatly enjoys spending quality moments with his family.

TWO MILLION MILES Lynford Anderson

Let's celebrate Lynford Anderson for reaching the impressive milestone of two million miles at Stevens Transport! Lynford graduated from Stevens Transport driving academy, he enjoyed the experience and meeting great people. His success stems from paying attention, taking care of the job, and maintaining a positive attitude even during stressful times. He became a truck driver due to the closure of his previous job. His advice for new drivers is to stay positive, pay attention, and be patient. In his spare time, Lynford engages in various activities, including fishing, playing soccer, and staying physically active. His favorite memory of Stevens Transport involves the owner and the safety department, who uphold high standards.

TWO MILLION MILES Scott Keeler

Let's congratulate Scott Keeler on reaching the remarkable milestone of two million miles at Stevens Transport! Scott received his training from Roadmaster in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enjoyed the program and the knowledge shared by the instructors. Scott attributes his success to the excellent team at Stevens Transport who are always there to support him. He also finds motivation in his family, particularly his two sons, for whom he is working hard for. Although being away from them is challenging, he sees this career as an opportunity for personal growth. His advice to new drivers is to stick with it and understand that it takes time to get the hang of the job. Scott's hobbies revolve around spending time with his sons, engaging in sports and video games.

Charles Miller, a member of the Stevens Transport driving force, recently accepted a 10-year anniversary ring. Charles has a background in the military, having served 5 years on active duty in the US Army and 8 years in the reserves. He joined Stevens Transport because he had always wanted to drive a truck, and after graduating with his CDL from Roadmaster, he began working at Stevens on May 2nd, 2012.

Charles credits Stevens with providing him with the skills to be successful and continues to seek improvement through continued driver training opportunities. When asked what advice he had for new drivers, Charles said, “ask questions and constantly strive to learn more.” The best thing about Stevens for Charles is the support he receives and the freedom to be the best driver he can be!

Raymond Roden III - Truck Shop Technician

We are happy to announce that the Paragon Leasing Employee of the month of June is Raymond Roden III. Raymond works as a Technician in our Truck Shop and has worked at Paragon Leasing since July 13, 2016.

Raymond comes to work everyday with a great attitude and makes everybody else’s day better. He has great attendance and is always willing to work above and beyond expectations. When a task is needs to be completed quickly, he is the one Paragon Leasing can count on to get it done. Raymond also is always looking for resources to help get the job done easier. He has been doing this for years now and even knows how to work on the trailers/refers if needed. He is a Jack of all trades.
