Monthly Memo
Holiday season is already here. Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas are all around the corner. As you busy yourself preparing for baking, gifts, and family get togethers, be sure to take a break and stop by the Center for a variety of fun activities. November will kick off with a “Grand Opening” of our café. While many of you have been enjoying the remodel the past couple months, the Office on Aging is having an official ceremony to celebrate its completion. Stop by for refreshments and giveaways. Friday, November 11th sees the return of my favorite event, the Veterans Chili Cookoff! Come enjoy a picnic lunch, chili tasting, salute to our veterans, a live band, and more. Veterans attend for free, non veterans are only $3. All ages are welcome, please be sure to stop in ahead of time and get your tickets. Lastly, November is Volunteer Appreciation Month. I’d like to personally thank all of our volunteers for the hard work and compassion they bring to our Center throughout the year. We could not do everything here without all of you. A special shout out to volunteers that helped with our October Spaghetti Dinner. It was a wonderful night thanks to their help serving, baking desserts, making raffle baskets, and more. I
