2023—2024
EXTRAORDINARY STEP INTO THE
I believe that music is the most direct route from one heart to another. We all know how music can move, transform, comfort and energize us, but sitting among a community of people participating in the same emotions at the same time is one of the most powerful and beautiful experiences I know.

This season we welcome international superstar Yo-Yo Ma to Spokane, a once-in-a-lifetime musical event, as well as an exciting and varied season of classical and pops concerts. Between these series and our special events— like Beethoven’s Ninth on New Year’s Eve, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and a live performance of The Empire Strikes Back with the timeless music of John Williams—we’re sure to have something to excite everyone’s musical palette. We offer a doorway to a place removed from the hustling pace of life. A space to enjoy the here-and-now. I invite you to join us, disconnect from the everyday for a short while and explore a world of sound and emotion as together we step into something extraordinary.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Executive Director: Jeff vom Saal

Friends of the Spokane Symphony and The Fox Theater:
We are delighted to share with you the Spokane Symphony and The Fox Theater program for the 2023-2024 season. Together we have made it through the challenges of the past few years and look forward, with optimism and enthusiasm, to the upcoming season. On behalf of all of us at the Spokane Symphony and The Fox Theater family, thank you for allowing us to be part of yours. We wouldn’t be here without your support and generosity.
The upcoming season can only be described as an unbelievable journey of music, where memories will be made by all. Outside the theater, the symphony musicians are dedicated to engaging with kids to explore and find their passion for music through our education programs.
Old friends, I look forward to seeing your familiar faces. New friends, I encourage you to experience the beauty of orchestral music. There is no question that music is a key component to the quality of our lives and we feel so fortunate to have an outstanding symphonic orchestra and a historical venue that we are all able to enjoy together.
Best regards,
