1) 소금의 정의 Food grade salt is a crystalline product consisting predominantly of sodium chloride. It is obtained from the sea, from underground rock salt deposits or from natural brine.

1) 국내
국내의 소금 유형은 식염과 비식염(공업용)으로 분류되고 있 으며, 식염은 천일염, 정제염, 재제염, 태움٠용융 소금 그리고 가공염으로 분류하고 있음. 천일염은 현재 천일염 최대 생산지역인 전라남도에서 공식 명칭으로 “Solar salt"라 명명하여 부르고 있음. 2) 국외

현하고 있으며, 각 소금의 제조방법에 따른 명칭은 해당 국가 의 소금 분류 유형에 따라 명칭을 정함. 2) 한국의 천일염은 현재까지는 ‘solar salt'라는 브랜드로 홍
보를 하고 있으나, 전 세계적으로 천일염과 같은 제조방식으 로 얻은 소금을 ’solar salt'보다는 ‘sea salt'로 부르고 있음. 3) 인터넷 백과사전인 Wikipedia에서도 ‘bay salt' 또는 ’solar salt'를 ‘sea salt'의 지역적 다른 명칭으로 간주하여, 별도의
설명을 하지 않고 있으며, 2010년도 전라남도에서 Wikipedia 에 ’solar salt'라는 단어를 삽입하려 노력하였으나 거절됨. 4) 이상의 내용으로 세계적으로 명성을 얻고 있는 소금의 경
