What's Poppin Spooky Suns?! We are officially one month into the second half of the term, and wow has it been a journey. I hope school is going well for all of you, and I hope that you're managing classes well now with the first quarter over. AP Physics 1 is befuddling me , but otherwise, school is going just fine for me.

Despite the month not having any huge events, we did manage to have a lot of really fun ones with a lot of member participation! I really was happy to see a Savanna member get division member of the month at RTC , and as a member of the spirit D30S committee, spirit nights have been going great and I am excited for FRS . Thank you to those who attend said spirit nights, it was great seeing you all be so hyped! Fall Rally South is one of the central events of our club, and I'm happy that the prep for it is going well .
This edition is going to be published towards the end of our dues collection period, but I just wanted to remind you all how important it is to pay your dues . Without dues, we cannot exist in a social club, and therefore I would really appreciate it if all of you guys became official members by paying your dues and filling our membership application .

With that being said, I hope that November goes great for you all, and I cannot wait to be back here next month talking to you guys. Bye sunnies!

With the end of the quarter approaching at my school, I wanted to have a fun event for members to attend to relax and socialize. Me and my fellow president from Loara Key Club organized a small little social to end the quarter off on a good note. We held it at a park close to Loara, and as members started showing up, we got together and did a small little service project where we made bookmarks for children. I enjoyed this activity because we could put whatever we wanted on the bookmarks, and since we had some rabbit stickers lying around, I made a cute bookmark with a reference to my friend's real life rabbit on it. After that, our members decided to play board games. They seem to be having fun, but me and the Loara president, along with her friends, decided to sit back and just talk. One of the members from luera let me ride his electric scooter towards the end, and it was fun trying that out. Despite the event not being grand, I really did enjoy it as it was a nice way to finish the first quarter of the school year, and I did get to meet some new people so that's always good.

Spirit nights are all about preparing for the Fall Rally South in a fun and engaging way. We learn the cheers during these sessions while being able to meet new people from around the division. We are separated into groups so that we can be more engaged in the cheers/activities. In my overall experience at these events, I have had a great time. It's been an opportunity to get me out there to meet new people. I have found the cheers a bit funny, in a good way. When coming to these events for the first time, I was not very sure what Fall Rally South was. So it was surprising to see that we were learning cheers. It was not what I expected, but I found it to be fun. I've also been able to have clear explanations about the cheers and have had very little trouble learning them. The people at these events are also very nice. I have had no bad experiences at these events. Because of these events, they have been able to make my weekends more fun. The spirit nights will help me prepare for my first Fall Rally South experience, and I can’t wait till the event starts.

RTC is an event where Key Clubs across our region come together to learn more about the different opportunities this organization has to offer like strengthening your leadership skills and learning how to run for officer positions! The day started with a spirit session, which was a showcase of all the various divisions’ spirit cheers. It was very fun seeing and hearing all the different cheers! There was also a guest speaker, and just like that, it was already lunchtime. After lunch, divisions split off into their own groups and moved forward with their DCM. DCM went really well and SKC ended up getting 2nd shining club of the month! We all went to the gym after that to continue with the opening session. All the LTGs did a really good job hyping us all up and getting us excited for the variety of workshops they had to offer. Most of the workshops I went to were focused on the responsibilities different officer positions have and how to run for those positions. I met a lot of new people and had a really fun time throughout all of the workshops. RTC ended with a heartfelt closing session. Overall, RTC was an enjoyable experience. Meeting new people and learning so much more about what Key Club has to offer made me excited for the rest of this term and the many more that will come!

I had the most wonderful time volunteering to help set up the Anaheim Fall Festival. The event took place on the 29th of October. I chose the earliest shift (7AM - 11AM) because I wanted to contribute to the organization and make the event as successful as possible. It wasn’t only the members of Key Club and I who were present, but volunteers from different clubs at different schools showed up as well, so I had the opportunity to meet and befriend some of the most welcoming and nicest people ever! Doing tasks, assisting each other out, working and laughing, were we being productive and helpful but at the same time, having fun with one another. Some of the tasks include setting up pop-up tents, tables, chairs, benches and signs, etc. As heavy as those items were to carry, I genuinely enjoyed doing it since it’s a kind act to help (plus we were doing it together so it’s actually not THAT hard ;) ). I decided to stay back to attend the festival after the shift was over and it was pretty remarkable to see the things that I put up, so I kept telling my friends “Oh we put up that sign right there!” or “We arranged those pop-ups by color so perfectly!”. It was the accomplished feeling that makes it so memorable to me.
