ANAHEIM FALL FESTIVAL

I had the most wonderful time volunteering to help set up the Anaheim Fall Festival. The event took place on the 29th of October. I chose the earliest shift (7AM - 11AM) because I wanted to contribute to the organization and make the event as successful as possible. It wasn’t only the members of Key Club and I who were present, but volunteers from different clubs at different schools showed up as well, so I had the opportunity to meet and befriend some of the most welcoming and nicest people ever! Doing tasks, assisting each other out, working and laughing, were we being productive and helpful but at the same time, having fun with one another. Some of the tasks include setting up pop-up tents, tables, chairs, benches and signs, etc. As heavy as those items were to carry, I genuinely enjoyed doing it since it’s a kind act to help (plus we were doing it together so it’s actually not THAT hard ;) ). I decided to stay back to attend the festival after the shift was over and it was pretty remarkable to see the things that I put up, so I kept telling my friends “Oh we put up that sign right there!” or “We arranged those pop-ups by color so perfectly!”. It was the accomplished feeling that makes it so memorable to me.
