Welcome to SoJo Summerfest
IIt’s officially summer in South Jordan— and that means it’s time for SoJo Summerfest! From June 3–7, we’ll be celebrating everything that makes our community special with five days full of music, food, games, and unforgettable fun for all ages.
This year, we’re bringing the party to a new location—North City Park, just north of the Bastian Center (the former Salt Lake County Equestrian Grounds) and west of the South Jordan Community Center and Heritage Park Splash Pad. This move gives us more space to grow, host bigger attractions, and better serve the thousands of residents who join us each year. We’re excited for you to experience SoJo Summerfest in this beautiful new setting. We’ll kick things off with the Parade Preview and Kite Festival at Highland Park, followed by the Mulligans Summerfest Bash. Then it’s on to the Carnival, Artisan Market, Free Fun Zone, and attractions like BMX bike stunts, trampoline shows, dinosaurs, butterfly encounters, and our first-ever Best in SoJo Dog Show!
On Friday and Saturday night, don’t miss the two-night SoJo Summerfest Music Festival with high-energy performances from QC Jam, Lover (a Taylor Swift tribute),
Michael Barrow and the Tourists, and E5C4P3, a Journey tribute. Of course, we’ll cap it all off with our signature fireworks show on Saturday night.
The SoJo Summerfest Parade begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Saturday, June 7, starting at North City Park and ending at South Jordan City Hall. Come early to enjoy a community breakfast, find your seat along Redwood Road or Towne Center Drive, and catch all the action. Parade staging starts at 7:15 a.m., and a section of 2200 W will be closed. All residents will still be able to access their homes.
Outside of the carnival, nearly every event is free, thanks to our amazing staff, volunteers, and sponsors. I hope you’ll join us as we make new memories and celebrate all that makes South Jordan special.

Rushing
South Jordan City is proud to announce Sheri Rushing as the Grand Marshal of this year’s SoJo Summerfest Parade. A cherished member of our community, Sheri’s warmth, kindness, and dedication have made her a beloved figure both in and out of the spotlight.
Born in 1944 and raised in Green River, Wyoming, Sheri is the oldest of seven children. Her small-town roots and strong family values helped shape the person she is today—compassionate, hardworking, and deeply community-minded. She once owned a small LDS bookstore and worked at a movie theater through high school, and has always found joy in connecting with others through service and shared interests.
For the past 18 years, Sheri has been a familiar and friendly face at the Megaplex Theatres, where she greets guests, takes tickets, and brightens moviegoers’ days with her signature smile—and sometimes even candy. Her attention to detail and genuine care for each guest have made her a mainstay for many in South Jordan’s favorite pastime. Whether she’s reminding someone about a bonus scene or sharing festive holiday treats, Sheri brings joy wherever she goes.
Her love for both her job and the South Jordan community shines through in everything she does. She feels deeply honored to serve as Grand Marshal and considers it a meaningful recognition of her connection to the city and the people she’s come to cherish over the years. As Grand Marshal, Sheri Rushing reminds us of the everyday heroes who quietly shape the heart of a city. Join us in celebrating Sheri and the lasting impact she continues to make.
