May Virtue of the Month The virtue for the month of May is Diligence. Diligence is described as doing your best and working hard until you’ve finished. There are three parts to this definition of diligence. We do our best when we remember that we are offering all our work to God, working hard because we have strength from Him

and having self-control to conquer the goal, even if we get tired of it. Included you will find a home project activity sheet for this virtue.

Wax Museum Excitement is building in fifth grade as they prepare for the annual Wax Museum. Formal presentation evening will be Thursday, May 17 from 6:00 – 7:30 in Sacred Heart’s gymnasium. Everyone is invited to witness fifth grade students dressed as and portraying past famous Americans. They will report information about not only the famous American but a specific U.S. state and an Indian tribe that lived once in that state. These students spend hours preparing and hope that they may share their interesting information with all of you. We hope to see you on May 17.

Thank You to everyone who has contributed to our Box Tops collection this year! We have earned more than $800.00 for school supplies and programs at BHCS. Our original goal was to collect at least 10,000 Box Tops to raise $1000.00 this year. We need your help! There will be one final collection of Box Tops for the school year on May 21. Please send in any collected Box Tops by May 21 so your child’s classroom can receive credit for your collection efforts. Remember that Box Tops must have a current date to be valuable. It is also helpful as you cut your Box Top off the item it came on to cut along the dotted line.

As always, we hope you will continue to collect Box Tops over the summer and share your summer collection with us next year. Thanks again for all your valuable help! *Please see the included Box Top Graph. Lenten Retreat “Thank You” A special “Thank you” to all the volunteers who helped to make our Lenten Retreat a meaningful day for our students. We would also like to thank Mr. Dan Rose and the eighth grade students for their presentation of the Living Stations. It truly brought the story of Jesus’ last day to life. Lost and Found The lost and found box in the office is overflowing. Please know that any articles left at the end of the school year will be given to Share and Care. Please stop by the school office to check out the lost and found box. Thank you.
