Important Information When it is necessary for you to leave a message on the school answering machine, we ask that you state what day you are calling. By doing this, will help avoid errors in messages given to student. It is also helpful to let your child know how they are getting home before they leave for school. We try to avoid giving last minute changes in transportation as the office is always very busy at the end of the day. If you have a last minute emergency change in transportation after your child leaves for school, please try to call in the morning. Thank you for being considerate in this matter.
No School There will no school on Monday, October 14th. BHCS teachers will be attending a diocesan- wide workshop.
Family Envelope The Family Envelope will go home once a month. Please encourage your child to return it in a timely manner and in good condition. The hope is that the envelope will last for the entire year. Thanks for your help in this matter.
Changes Please notify the school office right away if you have a change in address or a phone number. It is very important that we have your current information on file. Thank you for taking care of this.
Book Fair Our school Book Fair will run from October 28-November 1st. More information will come home closer to the date of the Book Fair.
Cookie Dough Information Delivery date for the cookie dough will be October 10th from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the ST. ANN HALL. If you cannot pick up your cookie dough at the specified time, please have someone else do so. Thank you to all the families who participated in this PTO fundraiser!! Classes with 100% participation will win an ice cream party.
Halloweeen Costumes/Parties-K-6 On Thursday, October 31st, Sacred Heart Campus will hold their annual Halloween parade beginning at 2:30 p.m. Students in Grades K-6 will change into their costumes after lunch. Violent costumes and/or weapons are NOT permitted. Times for the Halloween festivities, planned by homeroom parents, will take place at the teacher’s request
Morning Drop-Off After much observation and consideration, it has been decided that the students who arrive before 8:30 a.m. will no longer meet in the gym, instead will line up at the front entrance of school where a teacher will be present. There will be no teacher monitoring prior to 8:20 a.m. If your child is registered with the Extended Day Program, they will enter the building at their specified time of arrival.
Parent Signatures Throughout the school year, we often send papers home that require parent signatures. It is very helpful to teachers and the school office to be able to recognize these signatures. Using initials or curly “Q” signatures make` it difficult to figure out who the paper belongs to. We only ask for parent signatures when it is important, we appreciate it when we can recognize the signature. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
2019-2020 Parent/Teacher Conferences Sacred Heart Campus conferences will be held Tuesday, November 12th and Thursday, November 14th, from 4:00 p.m.-7:45 p.m. If you plan on scheduling a conference, please go to the BHCS website at www.bishop-hoffman.net and click on the Sign Up Genius button for Sacred Heart Campus. This will take you to the website for you to finish the sign-up process. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU WHEN THIS SCHEDULING IS AVAILABLE.
First Reconciliation Meeting Sacred Heart Parish will have a First Reconciliation Meeting on Sunday, October 13th at 9:30 a.m. Please meet in church.
Labeling We are asking once again to please put your child’s name on their belongings; this includes lunch boxes and especially their BHCS red fleeces and 3/4 zip ups. Please feel free to stop in the school office to check out our “Lost and Found” box.
Picture Re-Take Day Monday, October 28th is picture re-take day. Any students having their picture re-taken will need to return their original package to hand to the photographer. Fall pictures are taken in uniform. If your child was absent on the original day of pictures, please send them with their picture envelope. If you need another envelope, please let the office know.
