April Virtue of the Month The virtue for the month of April is Obedience. Obedience some from a Latin for which means “to listen”. Obedience is saying “yes” to the loving will of God and those He has sent over us. Included in this month’s family envelope, you will find information on ways to practice the virtue of Obedience. Map Testing Spring Map Testing will begin on April 9 thru the 27th. Easter Break Easter Break will begin Friday, March 30-April 6. School will resume on Monday, April 9. Donuts for Dads-Pre-Grade 6 We are inviting our Dads to come to Sacred Heart Campus on Friday, April 13th to share a donut with your child(ren). We hope that you are able to join us on the 13th from 7:45-8:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium. If Dad is unable to attend, a Grandpa or a special Uncle may come. BHCS & Heartbeat Flower Sale Please mark your calendar that flower money is due by Wednesday, April 11th. Your money must accompany the order and checks are to be made out to Heartbeat. Orders and money must be in By April 11th to qualify for any prizes. Flower pick up will be Tuesday, May 8th Advent Service Project “Thank You” As our Advent service project, students collected donations by counting suggested items and bringing that number of coins to school to put into a “gift jar”. This project ran from December 1-19, with the money being used to help families in Peru. The following is from a letter we received from the Peruvian American Medical Society. “The Peruvian American Medical Society Endowment Fund gratefully acknowledges your very generous donation of $1,410.51 to benefit the Medical Mission to Iquitos-Morona Cocha, Peru. On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for making this Mission possible and for your support of this worthwhile cause.” Notes From Nurse Ashleigh Please see the enclosed flyer from Nurse Ashleigh.
