Updating Emergency Medical Forms At the beginning of the school year parents filled out emergency medical forms for their children. If the emergency contact people listed for your children are no longer available or are working, please update this contact i`nformation. We ask that the people you list are able to pick up your child, in the case of an emergency when you cannot be reached. Kindergarten Screening Just a reminder that Kindergarten Screening will take place on Wednesday, April 5th. Kindergarten screening packets were mailed home last week. Please fill out forms and return to Sacred Heart Campus no later than Monday, April 13th. After receiving your child’s packet, please call the school office (419-332-7102) to set up a screening appointment. Thank You. Joy Day The EXCEL Club of SJCC High School is sponsoring “Joy Day” for students in Grades K-6 on Tuesday, February 28th. Joy Day is a fun celebration prior to the start of Lent. Please read the enclosed flyer explaining this event and how to purchase tickets for this carnival-like event. Game tickets are $.50 each. Games will require either 1 or 2 tickets. Tickets will not be sold on Joy Day. Please send money to school in a marked envelope with your child’s name and grade on it. Pre School Carnival On Friday, February 24, from 9:30 to 10:30, our BHCS 8th graders are bringing some pre-Lenten fun to our pre-schoolers. They will hold a Mardi Gras Carnival in the Sacred Heart gym. There

will be 18 booths of activities, games, and crafts. It is enjoyable to see the JHA students interact with our youngest students. It will be a good time for all. Cell Phones According to the BHCS Handbook, cell phones and other electronic devices, including Apple watches are to be out of sight during school hours. If a parent needs to get a message to their child during the school day, that message needs to come through the school office. Students who receive texts from their parents about end of day transportation will have to have that message verified through the office. This is a safety issue. Thank you for understanding in this matter. Lent March 1st, Ash Wednesday, begins the season of Lent. Students will be attending Mass next Wednesday. Students will be participating in a Lenten Retreat and Service Project closer to Easter. SJCC 8th Grade Class Trip Please read the enclosed flyer telling how to support the BHCS 8th grade class trip. The Depot will donate $2.00 for every pizza ordered February 23-25th. Please mention the 8th Grade Class Trip when ordering. Thank you. **Enclosed: Sacred Heart Annual Lenten Fish Fry
