January Christian Living Awards The following students received the Christian Living Award for the month of January. These students were presented their awards after Mass today, Thursday, February 9th. Lily Cook Danika Denman Gavin Rangel Emma Kelbley Brooklyn Berndt Ellie Drusback Lydia Wang Andrea Gonzalez Colin Rich Abigail Maxey Eduardo Venancio Julissa Reyna Martin Groweg Drew Hanes Spring Portraits for Grades K-6 Spring Picture Day will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Portrait selection forms for Spring Portraits are included in this week’s envelope. When pictures arrive please look over your picture packet and decide if you plan on purchasing your child’s pictures. IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PURCHASE THESE PICTURES, PLEASE RETURN THE ENTIRE PACKAGE. Packages may be purchased in whole or by individual sheets. Students may dress up or wear jeans (NO torn or tattered jeans, athletic pants or sweatpants). Box Top Winner Congratulations to Mrs. Helmer’s 5th grade class for winning January’s Box Top classroom count. They will be having a Jean’s Day next week on Wednesday, February 15th. Just a reminder that the Box Tops company only accepts Box Tops with a current date. Expired ones are thrown out. We also are no longer collecting Campbell’s Labels. Be sure to check out the box Tops Reward Chart and keep clipping, please. Next Classroom collection date is Friday, February 24th. Student Morning Drop Off When there is a school delay, or early morning extended day for your child, we cannot stress enough the importance of waiting till your child enters the school building before you pull away. There has been


incidents when the child did not ring the doorbell or school went into a cancellation and the child was sitting outside alone. Please make sure your child enters the front doors before you leave. Thank you for your consideration in this important matter. Your child’s safety is a number one concern of ours. Bible Quote Contest Congratulations to Matthew Bender and Amareee Haralson for memorizing the most bible quotes during our contest. Matthew was the winner for Grades K-2 and Amaree was the winner for Grades 3-6. Both students won a Children’s Bible. Thanks you to all our parents who helped their children memorize their quotes. The students did an awesome job!! Presidents’ Day Just a reminder that there will no school on Monday, February 20th due to Presidents’ Day. Hearbeat Baby Bottles If you have not already done so, please have your child(ren) return the Heartbeat baby bottles that were sent home several weeks ago, even if it is empty. There are still a number of bottles not returned. Heartbeat uses these bottles every year.
