Bears vs Dierks

The Bears showed up and showed out on Thursday night in Caddo Hills, as they beat Dierks 52-39 to earn a spot in the District Championship. "This was their best defensive game of the year," Coach Austin Kidd said. "We switched some schemes up and the kids played great." Three of the Spring Hill Bears were in double-figures, as Andrew Wylie led the way with 13 points. Austin Stone scored 12, and Maverick Mills scored 10. Grant Hudman scored 7, Karson Hamilton added 5, Jakob Perry scored 3, and Blane Tuttle added 2. With the win, the Bears matched up with the Rattlers on Friday.

Whatley Words of Wisdom:

Have any of you noticed the Jonquils, the beautiful yellow flowers, growing? These flowers symbolize forgiveness and a desire for affection to be reciprocated. They also symbolize creativity, success, rebirth, and renewal. Jonquils also let me know the crappie are about to spawn!!!!!! So, let's try to be like Jonquils and start over. Try to be positive and have fun. It sure is fun out in the sun catching crappie in the Spring!!!

Hello Spring Hill students and community We are going strong and still doing great things here at Spring Hill. We are looking forward to a great parent-teacher conference and being able to see each one of you visiting with your child's teachers. Our basketball teams have qualified for the Regional Tournament in Acorn next week We hope to have our fans cheer on our bears! Our students are the best and it's because of the great community, parents, and teachers we have here at Spring Hill! Go Bears!

Austin Kidd

Coach Kidd has been teaching at Spring Hill for 6 years, instructing various subjects like geography, civics, Arkansas History, US history, career orientation, health, and PE He cherishes the vibrant atmosphere of home games with enthusiastic crowds Spring Hill's familylike environment holds a special place in his heart as everyone comes together in times of need Coach Kidd's favorite subject to teach is Arkansas History. He was inspired to become a teacher and coach by the positive influence of his own high school teachers and coaches, aiming to make a similar impact on his students and players.

Josh Hilton

Josh Hilton is in his first year of Journalism, opting for a change His roles in the newspaper are "Around the Town" and "Community Page," which he finds interesting. Josh enjoys researching events in Hope and Texarkana the most. Outside school, he spends time with friends and family, often making frequent trips to the store for fair life chocolate milk For a future job in Journalism, Josh considers pay and the type of writing involved Journalism helps him stay consistent and connected to the real world. Josh intends to continue with Journalism into his senior year and would choose "Whatleys Words of Wisdom" as an alternative role due to his wisdom

Jackson Lewis

Jackson Lewis has been at Spring Hill since kindergarten and will graduate this year. He plans to attend UCA in the fall with an unknown career path. He cherishes the friendships made over the years and advises underclassmen to listen attentively for their benefit. Outside of school, he spends time with friends, attends church, and works at Amigo Juans. His favorite memory is his knack for teasing Plyler.

Justin Loe

Justin Loe, also known as "J-Loe," is a senior at Spring Hill. Post-graduation, he plans to enter the workforce instead of pursuing college. His primary goal is to successfully graduate this year. J-Loe intends to work as a maintenance man. His advice to underclassmen is to strive for their best and work hard to graduate. Having been at Spring Hill since 7th grade, he chose to leave Hope due to behavioral issues. Outside of school, J-Loe is employed at WalMart. He anticipates that his favorite memory will be his graduation.

ElisaMalvestio

When Elisa (Eli) returns to Italy, she will have another senior year before college. The high school there doesn't provide a diploma for immediate work. She is torn between studying medicine and engineering. Her advice for underclassmen is to cherish youth and live positively. At Spring Hill, everything is different, and she feels fortunate. She is part of the community, on the Softball team, and possibly might join Track, and she teaches dance. Enjoying new experiences, Homecoming week, and a special 18th birthday surprise are cherished memories of hers here at Spring Hill.

Jenna McCain

Jenna McCain, a senior at Spring Hill High School, intends to attend Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. Her goals for this year include maintaining good grades. Jenna aspires to become a pediatric doctor. She will miss the students and teachers at Spring Hill. Jenna advises underclassmen to prioritize schoolwork while still making time for fun.

Having been part of Spring Hill since kindergarten, she participates in golf and works at Walmart.

Jenna's cherished memory at Spring Hill is the golf adventures with Coach Steed and Mr. Smead.
