Shopping News Photo by Jeffrey L. White The Ephrata Mountaineers varsity baseball team continued their amazing season by beating Cedar Cliff 4-2 to win the District 3 5A championship. Following an incredible season where they capped their regular season by winning the Lancaster-Lebanon League title, Ephrata won their 18th consecutive game to win the district crown, the second championship in the past three years for the Mounts.

Veterans Share Experiences With Local Students

THURSDAY, JUNE 7 Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 East Main Street, Ephrata, will hold a Free Community Meal. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Serving at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 717-7336646.

THURSDAY, JUNE 7 Boy Scout Troop 4318 will hold a Chicken BBQ from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Park Place Diner. There is a cost. Proceeds help pay for community service projects. For more information or to order, call Mike at 717419-2030.

Students from various classes heard presentations, asked questions and viewed artifacts.
