Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Andria Weaver, reading specialist at Cocalico High School, has worked with high school librarian Ginger Mickey to kindle enthusiasm for recreational reading while rewarding students who go beyond academics to make the high school a welcoming place for everyone. Teachers distribute scratchoff postcards as rewards to students showing intrinsic motivation. When students scratch off the “reward,” they earn a prize from the “Reading Rewards” table, which was sponsored by a grant from the Cocalico Education Association. Among the winners are Moriah Ulrich, Emily Moran, Brady Nuneville, Paxton Steffy and Shally Vargas.
