As always, those planning to attend are strongly encouraged to get there early because the event starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. Several children got together this week to create a colorful Easter egg chalk drawing to welcome the Easter Bunny to town. They totally finished ten quilts and another five are almost completed. All of the quilts will be auctioned at Fairmount’s Benefit Auction and Chicken Barbecue on Saturday, September 8, and the proceeds of that auction will go to the Sharing Fund for residents who have outlived their resources. Shown in the photo quilting are, from left to right, Gladys Martin, Anna Mae Eby, Joyce Martin, Robin Gosch and Virginia Hertzler.
