Brecknock Real Life Economics Lessons Encourages Third Grade Entrepreneurs

Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese The third grade learners in Cristen Miller’s Language Arts class from Brecknock Elementary School had a chance to experience being an entrepreneur. The learners worked independently or with a team to create a product to sell at an Entrepreneur Bazaar held on Friday, March 6. Learners from third and fourth grade, as well as staff members, shopped at the bazaar using play money. The learners enjoyed learning about economics in a reallife handson experience. Shown in the photo on the left is bazaar patron Zachary Johnson as he chooses some custom greeting cards made by Quinn Carroll. The photo on the right includes, from left to right, Aaliyah Forney, Lydia Gingrich, Ayiana Boyer and Faith Evans as they purchase homemade ice pops from entrepreneurs Emily Heller and Kelsey Longacre.
