Akron Church of the Brethren is participating in Who’s Hiring the Blessings of Hope food in Healthcare box giveaway program, which impacts local families in a meaningful way. Every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., volunteers come together to sort food, fill boxes and load them in the cars that line up to The following events receive this support. An average family box would cost over $100 if items were purchased individually. The mission at Blessings of Hope is to feed the hungry by facilitating partnerships between food

suppliers and nonprofits in a way that brings God’s blessings to both. Through partnering with Blessings of Hope, thousands of people have an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus. Together with staff and volunteers, they repackage foods into manageable sizes and organize it for efficient distribution.
