“With anything that we do, it is always important to celebrate and respect our history, but that does not mean simply repeating it. The appeal of Morgan is the unique way in which we blend craftsmanship

and technology, both within the manufacturing process and the sports cars themselves. Our customers are reassured by the incorporation of modern technology within their car, because that means modern levels of refinement, reliability, and usability.”

HOW IS MORGAN CARS ADAPTING TO ECO-FRIENDLY PRACTICES WHILE MAINTAINING THE PERSONALIZED TOUCH THAT COMES WITH HANDBUILT CRAFTSMANSHIP?

“By nature, Morgan as a company, and the way in which we coachbuild sports cars, is already sustainable. We use high-quality natural materials, we use no big machines in our factory, many of our suppliers are based locally so there is low delivery miles. Every Morgan is lightweight, used infrequently, and features the latest powertrain low emission engines.

Our cars are built to last with no built-in obsolescence. All these qualities help to make Morgan sustainable, but there is more we can do. We have a dedicated ESG strategy that

aims to go further and help make Morgan sustainable, looking at every area of our manufacturing process.”

HOW DOES MORGAN CARS ENVISION ITS ROLE IN THE CHANGING LANDSCAPE OF EVS, AND ARE THERE PLANS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRIC OR HYBRID MODELS?

“We are currently monitoring the automotive landscape with detail, assessing at which point Morgan will need to go EV. We know that an electric Morgan is a case of when and not if, so we are already working hard to understand how we will navigate this challenge. There have been several electric prototypes over the years, the latest is a vehicle called ‘XP-1’ which is based on the chassis of a Super 3.

This vehicle has been built to build up our inhouse competence, feed into our simulation tool, and allow us to define what an electric Morgan sports car should be. We are committed to ensuring that a future electric Morgan remains fun to drive, light weight, bespoke and handcrafted.”

“We are extremely fortunate to have such a strong and passionate community of owners all around the world. We are fortunate to meet so many of our owners, both at our factory and at events worldwide, and receive a wealth of feedback and suggestions.”

THE PLUS FOUR AND PLUS SIX MODELS HAVE BEEN WELL-RECEIVED. CAN YOU DISCUSS THE INNOVATION AND ENGINEERING BEHIND THESE MODELS, AND ARE THERE ANY UPCOMING MODELS OR DEVELOPMENTS THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY EXCITED ABOUT?

“The Plus Four and the Plus Six represent the timeless appeal and distinctive Morgan design that has endured since the first fourwheeled Morgan was introduced in 1936. The innovation behind these models is achieving the delicate balance of introducing modern technology and process whilst still maintaining the appeal of a period sports car.

For instance, the latest BMW powertrain and aluminium bonded platform sits beneath a coach-built body, formed by hand using ash wood and lightweight aluminium. This

is coachbuilding for the 21st century, and in our minds is true innovation. Over the coming years we will see Plus Four continue to adopt a space as the mainstay of our brand, the purest expression of the four-wheeled Morgan, whilst Plus Six will continue to be a flagship model.”

HOW DOES THE COMPANY BALANCE THE PURSUIT OF PERFORMANCE WITH THE COMFORT AND ENJOYMENT OF THE DRIVER?

“I can confidently say that Morgan is not about the relentless pursuit of performance. We leave lap times and 0-60 figures to other manufacturers. Our measurement is something more ingrained, something harder to measure, put simply a Morgan is about driving enjoyment and a connection to your surroundings. Every Morgan sports car, regardless of its engine or number of wheels, is fun to drive.

We want every journey in a Morgan to be a memorable one, for our owners to look forward to each drive and the almost limitless possibilities of where they could go and what they could experience. We do this by giving drivers as much of a connection to the vehicle as possible, limiting aids and additional features to the point where they can feel everything.”

HOW DOES MORGAN CARS LEVERAGE ITS RACING HERITAGE TO INSPIRE

INNOVATION IN ITS ROAD CARS, AND ARE THERE PLANS FOR MORGAN'S CONTINUED INVOLVEMENT IN MOTORSPORTS?

“The Morgan Motor Company was established through motorsport. From the day that HFS Morgan built the first Runabout in 1909, he was competing. His motorsport success, both on the racetrack and trialling, helped to launch the company and prove his product. During the years since, Morgan has always been closely linked to motorsport. Our most notable achievement came in 1962, when a Plus 4 won its class at the Le Mans 24 Hour race in France. Whilst we do not have any current top-level motorsport initiatives taking place, it is fair to say that racing pedigree still flows through our brand and products. If you drive a Plus Four today, it is still familiar to the car from 1962, whether it is the light weight, the low seating position, or the engaging driving experience.”

Luxury business is a highly competitive and dynamic sector that requires constant innovation and adaptation to changing consumer preferences and market conditions. Luxury brands face the challenge of maintaining their exclusivity and desirability while expanding their customer base and increasing their sales. Increasing demand is a critical challenge that the luxury brands work relentlessly to remedy.

By and large, a demand increasing strategy is a set of actions and initiatives that aim to stimulate and enhance the demand for a luxury product or service, both from existing and potential customers. A demand increase strategy can be applied at different levels: product, brand, category, or market. A demand increase strategy should be aligned with the luxury brand's identity, positioning, and values, and should consider a couple of significant elements.

Luxury brands should regularly offer new and improved products that reflect their creativity, craftsmanship, and quality, which should meet or even exceed the expectations and needs of their customers. Product innovation can also involve introducing new product categories,

segments, or lines, or expanding into new markets or regions.

They should adopt a pricing strategy that reflects their premium value proposition, which creates a perception of scarcity and exclusivity. Pricing strategy should also involve implementing dynamic pricing, price differentiation, or even price skimming, depending on the product life cycle, customer segments, and competitive environment.

Distribution is very critical, as such luxury brands should carefully select and manage their distribution channels, both online and offline, to ensure that they reach their target customers and that they provide a consistent and unique brand experience. Distribution strategy should also involve creating exclusive or selective distribution networks, opening flagship stores or pop-up shops, or partnering with other luxury or non-luxury brands or retailers.

Luxury brands should communicate their brand story, values, and benefits to their customers and stakeholders, using a mix of traditional and digital media, as well as experiential and word-ofmouth marketing. Communication strategy can also involve creating engaging and memorable brand

campaigns, events, or activations, or leveraging influencers, celebrities, or ambassadors.

As indicated a variety of times in previous issues, luxury brands should foster customer loyalty and retention by providing exceptional customer service, personalization, and aftersales support, and by creating emotional and social bonds with their customers. Loyalty strategy should also involve developing loyalty programs, rewards, or benefits.

There are many good examples in market, especially with top luxury brands. Could of luxury brands brand have been consistently innovating their product portfolio, introducing new collections, collaborations, categories, and new product lines like perfumes. They have been working intensively to expand its global presence whilst opening new stores and pop-up shops and entering new markets emerging markets. They have been investing in its communication strategy, creating iconic campaigns, and engaging with their customers through social media, apps, and podcasts. They are transforming their pricing strategy, adopting a more dynamic and flexible approach, based on customer demand, product availability, and seasonality, which is an effective management. They have also been enhancing their distribution strategy, creating a seamless and integrated online and offline experience, and partnering with platforms with e-commerce giants.

Demand increase strategy is a key factor for the success and growth of luxury brands in the current competitive and dynamic markets. Luxury brand leaders should design and implement a demand increase strategy that considers the product, pricing, distribution, communication, and loyalty components, and that is aligned with the brand's identity, positioning, and values. Luxury brand leaders should also monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of their demand increase strategy, using relevant metrics and indicators, such as revenues, market share, customer satisfaction, and brand equity.

ATS then, through its Go Green Initiative, began to offer science-based data on the carbon footprint as science-based targets are one of the most effective ways to tackle carbon emissions.

A recent highlight for Amadeus and ATS Travel was the Climate Fresk Conference, a collaborative effort with partners to champion climate change awareness. The conference showcased the commitment of both companies to drive meaningful change and inspire others to join the quest for a more sustainable travel industry.

The ATS Go Green initiative has already started to yield benefits. From implementing sustainable practices within the company’s operations to promoting more sustainable travel options, ATS Travel is leading by example. ATS travel is taking important steps towards reducing carbon footprint by ensuring its clients’ travel programs are designed with sustainability at the core. The company also supports clients by offering solutions through sustainable procurement practices across the supply chain.

ATS Travel also offer verified certifiable carbon offsetting solutions across the globe and are setting an example by offsetting the company’s own footprint through various plantations across Asia & Africa using the world renowned Miyawaki afforestation method. ATS ensures all communication to its clients carry the carbon footprint data for the services used, making it easier to offset or choose a more sustainable option the next time.

Similarly, Amadeus’ commitment to sustainability in travel is reflected in its investment in Chooose, a climate-tech company that integrates climate action options into the customer experience. The travel technology provider continues to invest in helping the industry minimize its environmental impact, including investing in sustainable aviation

fuel innovator CAPHENIA, a German company that will produce synthesis gas, the feedstock of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Amadeus works on the environmental efficiency of its operations and supports customers in their sustainability journey with the aim of reaching the industry’s goal of being Net Zero by 2050. Leading manufacturers and exciting boutique brands show their high appreciation for existing raw materials, local strengths and

a future worth living across all products. The design realisation is versatile and individual: the Danish brand Hübsch, for example, brings a touch of nostalgia with its Forma series. Inspired by the strict formalism of the 70s and 80s, the oak furniture adds an edgy touch to any room.

With its special combination of elegance and functional minimalism, the A-Collection from Zone Denmark connects indoor and outdoor areas. The powder-coated, durable stools, benches and side tables fulfil a wide range of functions and can be combined in many different ways. Both indoors and outdoors, real flames create a cosy ambience. The Tenderflame brand makes them safe and environmentally friendly with a new bio-fuel that is not only non-toxic but also flameretardant.

Pure nature is only one side of the 2024 living trends, however. The Ambiente trend "AURA OF PROGRESS_visionary + elemental" shows just how intense interior design can

be. Products such as the sculptural glass vase "Amara" from Philippi are pars pro toto for this style between elemental force and futurism. Its artfully enclosed bubbles give the impression of having frozen space and time in an underwater world.

Particular eye-catchers include blankets made from discarded saris or mirror boxes and shelves made from used brick moulds.

The Finnish company Mifuko, which works with female artisans in rural areas of Kenya, Ghana and Tanzania, bridges the gap between contemporary design and targeted aid. The project, which has now been active for 15 years, empowers local women, promotes fair trade and honours traditional craftsmanship.

The fair trade-certified label Original Home pursues a strictly sustainable line. Its handmade home textiles, for example, are made from recycled fibres or cotton remnants, while small pieces of furniture are made from wood waste from old houses or boats.

Anyone looking for contemporary, sustainable solutions for smaller homes will find what they are looking for at the Handed By brand, which presents a series of tables and chairs that can also be used for storage. Ambiente/Christmasworld and Creativeworld will be held 07 to 10 February 2025.

The watchmaking aspect is embodied by the three redesigned steel-coloured central hands; the hours and minutes hands are now diamond-cut, as are the hour markers.

The hand-polished hands glide above a fine sunburst dial, available in three different colours reflecting three quite different personalities: bright, radiant silver grey; deep, contemporary midnight blue; and a bold and unusual British racing green.

The pieces feature a ‘railtrack’ minute circle and an onion-shaped crown at three o’clock. The first two come on an alligator strap with navy blue overstitching, while the third has a green alligator strap to match the dial.

Work has commenced in earnest at the only dedicated private jet terminal at Ronaldsway Airport, Isle of Man, as a private group embarks on plans to modernise and expand the FBO facility –originally built in 2015 – to bring it in line with some of the world’s leading FBO’s.

Megacorp Aviation Ltd, which also owns business aircraft for charter, and with bases at Douglas, Isle of Man and London Biggin Hill Airport, is bringing in a dedicated aviation team to realise plans to create an aviation technology park there. This will double the existing Jet Centre hangar space from 20,000 square feet to 40,000 square feet and create up to 20 further jobs for the Isle of Man.

The new flagship private terminal will include new offices and an enhanced business centre which is being developed alongside a 10-bedroom boutique hotel for passengers and crew. Passengers will additionally have access to a dedicated concierge service.

The enhanced Private Jet Centre will include a host of sustainable features, including the ability to calculate and offset carbon emissions (with a proprietary carbon calculator); access to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and recycled apparel for all employees at the Jet Centre, as well as crew.

Aviation traffic in The Isle of Man is expected to increase exponentially in the next two years. The Island is regularly

used by the film industry which relies upon on-demand aviation. The private terminal is ideally positioned in the south of the island at Ronaldsway, six miles from Douglas, providing rapid access to key destinations and events.

Harry Ackerman, CEO of Megacorp Aviation said: “The Isle of Man has long been underserved for private aviation. We are confident that the investment we are making into the Private Jet Centre and other aviation facilities at the airport will stimulate further economic growth for the Island and attract more traffic, as well as supporting aircraft coming on to the highly popular Isle of Man Aircraft Registry.”

Grande 44M amazes by offering something that doesn’t exist today: a superyacht with reduced CO2 emissions that brings bold, flowing lines to a design with four decks rather than the traditional three, embracing and sculpting significant volumes. The stand-out feature is that the Upper Deck, which can be converted into an Owner’s Deck with uninterrupted sea views both forward and astern.

The concept underpinning the innovative styling, created by Azimut in partnership with Alberto Mancini is the decision to move the helm station to the fourth deck, freeing up the Upper Deck so that it can be transformed into an Owner’s Deck featuring the master suite and a private terrace offering spectacular views.

Aft, Grande 44M reproposes the Mezzanine Deck with Sea View Terrace that was central to the success of Grande Trideck. On Grande 44M, this stage overlooking the sea is made even more unique by the See Through Pool, with its plays on transparency that establish continuous contact with the water and generate reflections that give the beach club an even more magical feel.

The new layout means that architecture firm m²atelier – working with Azimut for the first time – could create an interior design that balances functionality and aesthetics, making the owners’ experience central and offering versatile settings to configure according to how they like to spend their time with family and friends.

The forward section of Grande 44M’s Upper Deck can be fitted out as a media room for guests or reserved for the owner, or alternatively as a dining area with veranda accommodating 12 people.

In both cases, almost two-meter-long windows on either side provide open views outside, where a lounge area in the bow with a small firepit offers a cozy space from which to watch the sun set

over the water. It’s a lifestyle aspired to by everyone who loves the sea.

Water is the key element in the narrative told by m²atelier, capturing its essence and giving back fluidity, dynamism and reflections. m²atelier, a firm with an international reputation for creative projects in multiple sectors – from residences and hotels to retail and product design – brings as a distinctive signature for Azimut a clear message, accented by refined, subtle, whispered details that seduce with a discreet simplicity completely free of affectation or overemphasis.

Inside the BMW i7, you are welcomed by a world of luxury and advanced technology. The spacious cabin is adorned with

premium materials, including soft Nappa leather and fine wood trims, creating an ambiance of unparalleled elegance. The seats are adjustable, offering massage functions for maximum comfort. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the central touchscreen stand out and I loved the intuitive access to navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings.

As I stand on the cusp of my professional journey, armed with a B.A in in Forensics & Criminology and an M.A in Computer Science in hand, I reflect on the myriad challenges that lie ahead my professional career. The transition from academia to the professional world is daunting, filled with uncertainties and new responsibilities. In this pivotal moment, one word resonates deeply with me: mentorship.

The concept of mentorship, often celebrated in theory, reveals its true value in practice. As a fresh graduate, I have come to understand that mentorship is not just about receiving guidance; it’s about forging meaningful connections, gaining insights, and building a foundation for long-term success.

Stepping into the professional arena, the theoretical knowledge acquired in classrooms often feels insufficient especially in my field. While textbooks and lectures provide a solid foundation, they can’t fully prepare us for the complexities of real-world scenarios.

This is where mentors play an indispensable role. They bridge the gap between theoretical learning and

practical application, offering advice rooted in experience and expertise.

I am looking for a mentor whose insights can demystify the nuances of my chosen field, from industry-specific jargon to unwritten workplace norms. I hope they can provide me clarity and direction and help me understand corporate culture.

Confidence is a critical ingredient for success, yet it often eludes fresh graduates like me. The transition from being a student to a professional can be overwhelming, filled with self-doubt and anxiety. Mentors, with their supportive presence, can help graduates like me alleviate these fears.

In today’s interconnected world, professional success is often influenced by the strength of our networks. Mentors’ open doors to new opportunities, introducing us to valuable contacts within the industry. These connections can lead to collaborations, job opportunities, and invaluable learning experiences.

Mentorship extends beyond professional advice; it encompasses personal development as well. A mentor’s role

often involves imparting life lessons that shape our character and values. They teach us resilience in the face of setbacks, the importance of integrity, and the value of continuous learning.

One of the most profound impacts of mentorship is the inspiration to give back. Witnessing the generosity and commitment of a mentor motivates us to pay it forward to others who join us after we are settled in.

As we progress in our careers, the desire to guide and support the next generation of professionals becomes a natural extension of our journey and I hope I get a mentor who gives me enough skills I can pass on the graduates who come after me.
