A MESSAGE FROM OUR HEAD BOY & HEAD GIRL

Welcome to Team Seton,
We are so excited you have decided to come to Seton and embark on this next exciting journey with us!
At Seton, we understand that the transition from primary school to high school can cause lots of mixed emotions, but, with the help of peer support leaders, warm and welcoming teachers and a multitude of activities designed to help you make friends and feel comfortable, we have complete faith that you will all thrive in this new and exciting era of your life In Year 7, the ‘Set for Seton’ program helps you understand what Seton is all about and when you enter Year 12, which will happen faster than you think, your experiences at Seton will have you ‘Set for Life’
We have so many courses at Seton that you can look forward to Whether you’re thinking about winning sport awards, or seeing yourself under the lights on stage, or wanting to paint and draw something incredible, or even if you’re an academic whizz and see yourself achieving Dux The point is we are so lucky to have all these opportunities at Seton, so take your time to pick your subjects and the things you enjoy!
But of course, the thing you all want to know is where all the fun stuff is and believe us, we don’t know where to begin! We have Patron Days, where we celebrate our House patrons by engaging in activities with our House groups and enjoying lunch together We have plenty of excursions and camps which get you out of the classroom and spend time with your peers We also have our annual Seton Day, where we get to celebrate our school, it’s like a school fair only way better!
We are so excited to welcome you to Team Seton, and we know you’ll love it here So please engage yourself in as many activities as possible around the school, because before you know it you’ll be in Year 12 like us

HOUSES

At the Pre-entry Welcome Day in Term 4 this year you will arrive in your current school sport uniform, but go home in your House Shirt It is the start of a very important transition into Seton and your first step into the College House System

There are 6 Houses at Seton and you will be in one of them for the entire time you are at the College Your House will be your rock! It is a lot of fun, you will play sport for your House, earn points for your House, become passionately supportive of your House, but perhaps most importantly it will also become your support network at School
Just like families range in ages, so do our House Groups Every morning you will meet with your Pastoral Care Group which means you will have older students to look after you and to look up to, and in turn as you get older you will mentor the younger students in your Pastoral Care Group Your Pastoral Care teacher will be with you for the duration of your time at Seton as well - so by the time you finish school they will know you very well
SETON'S SEASON OF THE ARTS IS OPEN!

If Arts is your thing, then you will be sure to find your place at Seton. Of course, if it isn't then you can just enjoy being an audience member and get involved in something else! Our 'Season of the Arts' has been launched and as usual it promises to be a fantastic showcase of what the students can achieve in the Arts at Seton. Students can be involved in everything from Dance troupes, to Music concerts, to Drama productions, to the Brother Francis Exhibition (where students exhibit woodwork, painting, sculpture and photography).

Our theatre, which has industry-standard lighting and sound technology, comes alive with changing sets and productions which are always enjoyed by sold-out audiences. We have a mix of students who are involved in the Arts at Seton. On one hand, there are those who enjoy it because it adds a dimension to their studies and on the other hand, there are those who are passionate and choose to focus on developing it as a career path. Both of these groups of students are encouraged to get the most out of the Arts at Seton. We are very proud of our Arts Programs and have had many students who have pursued Arts after they have finished School. Last year we had three of our Class of 2022 students exhibit works in the prestigious Year 12 Pulse Perspectives Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. The same exhibition we saw two of our students awarded the top two prizes, The Packing Room Prize and the People Choice Award, in 2022.
