SETON SEASONAL

Year 7–12 Music students performed on the front lawn, entertaining staff and students during lunch.

HELLO FROM MR WALLACE

I am thrilled to share with you some of the activities that happened at Seton this term on top of classroom learning

Term 2 presented so many fantastic opportunities for students to give back to the community and develop their leadership skills, which is why this is the main focus of this newsletter Our Student Ministry Leaders demonstrated exceptional leadership by raising funds and awareness for important charities through Seton's initiatives like 'Hoods for Good' Our Peer Support Leaders had a great day facilitating enriching activities on Seton Experience Day, working alongside Year 4 students from local Catholic Primary schools This event not only allowed our future students to get a glimpse of the welcoming and inclusive environment they can expect at Seton, but also provided a valuable opportunity for our students to develop real-life leadership skills

Earlier this term our Cert IV Dance students had a chance to conduct workshops for Year 6 students who will be joining Seton in 2026 Their expertise and passion for dance were evident as they inspired and ignited a love for performing arts in the younger students, but also importantly helped to start the Year 6s' transition to Seton

Year 11 and 12 students, Abbie and Shayla, launched the 'PushUp Challenge' to raise awareness and funds for mental health, demonstrating their compassion and commitment to the wellbeing of our College community We are so impressed with

p showcase, and it was nothing short of brilliant a real testament to our Year 12s leadership and skill

Earlier this term our Rock Bands and Musical Theatre Choir treated students and staff to a lunch time concert whilst they sat on the lawn to enjoy their lunch I think it is fair to say that the performers enjoyed giving to the community just as much as the audience loved listening to it

Our Kaartdijin Student Leaders recently demonstrated outstanding leadership and community service by organising a Sorry Day Hibiscus Cookie Sale and Reconciliation Raffle Featuring Yarn Hampers of First Nations-designed products, the initiative raised funds for The Healing Foundation and deepened cultural understanding

We look forward to sharing a different focus in the Term 3 Seton Seasonal I wish you all a happy Term 2 break
