SWAG SHOP Check out the new Fall/Winter items in the Swag Shop display case! Twice a year, the items in the display case are updated. An order form is available in Human Resources or via QR Code that allows you to purchase your items using your Swag Bucks or payroll deduction. As a reminder, you can get your hands on awesome corporate branded items in two different ways: EARN – Items can be earned through the Swag Bucks program. Supervisors and managers throughout the facility award Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 Swag Bucks for pre-determined associate behaviors.

PURCHASE – Items are available for purchase at MSA’s cost. Simply fill out an order form and the cost of the item will be deducted from your paycheck. Note – items are not available for purchase with cash or card.

GEORGIA MADE DESIGNATION Overseen by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, MSA received our Georgia Made designation in August of 2020 with the submission of our Gripper®, Duramark® and DOT® Durable™ products.

SUMMER CONTESTS Thank you to everyone that participated in the MSA Summer Contests! The waterballoon fight was a huge success and the competition was fierce! WELCOME NEW EMPLOYEES

TWO OF A KIND Jack Chastain and Veo Bouasy are two of a kind. Jack began working at Scovill in 1966 and when Veo started in 1981, it wasn’t long before they hit it off. In 1983, they both worked making zippers and components and quickly discovered that they could rely on each other. They have worked together ever since.

“We found out that teamwork is better than doing it on our own. We work great together,” says Jack.

Jack and Veo have a respect for each other that is rare. Throughout the years, they have developed a trust in one another and their abilities to get the job done. They have discovered that if one of them can’t do something, they can ask the other one for help. They work well together and truly enjoy working with each other.

“I love working with Jack. When you enjoy who you work with, you work better,” says Veo. However, Jack and Veo aren’t just friends inside the walls of work. They laughed as they reminisced on a trip they took, in 1983 to Six Flags with their wives. They recalled the good time they had riding the rides throughout the park.

in many different departments throughout the company, including wastewater treatment, maintenance and quality. He lived in Asia for 13 years when he set up Scovill’s manufacturing facility in China. He was General Manager for the first 3 years and then transitioned to Director of

“I have always liked to understand how things are made and how they work or function,” says Bill.

He says his favorite part of working at MSA is the people. He also enjoys the fact that every day is something different and that his job entails very little repetition.

Morito Scovill Americas continues to develop business strategies in alliance with our parent and sister companies and have therefore made changes to our Mission, Vision and Principles statement. MSA has also adopted Morito Co., Ltd.’s Vision statement and you will see both of these items displayed throughout the facility.

FISCAL YEAR END INVENTORY Here are some behind the scene happenings that took place during inventory October 2 – 4. This was one of our most successful inventories to date with only a 1/2% variance. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard in making this possible.

RING MACHINES In December of 2021, Morito Co., Ltd. approved a capital improvement request by MSA that provides an ongoing commitment to capital asset projects that provide continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Included in that capital improvement commitment have been the purchases of the new nickel plating line, autobagger and ring machines.

Two new and improved ring machines were installed in November, 2022. Running to significantly tighter tolerances, these machines are twice as fast as the previous machines, making them capable of producing the majority of our ring demands.
