Organisation The School Day-8.45am-3.15pm

Dropping off/Picking up All Foundation Stage children use the Foundation stage entrance which is across the playground and around to the back of the school. The Reception children have their own door that leads into their separate cloakroom. If your child is late please go to the front entrance to ensure your child is registered as being in school. If you driv e to school, droppingoff or parking is not permitted in the school grounds. Please also observ e parking restrictions on Bradley Green Road.

Care Club We prov ide before and after school care at an additional cost. Please see separate letter.

Attendance.

Attendance and punctuality at school is a key factor that influences children’s attainment.

Please ensure that your child arriv es at school on time so that they do not miss any opportunity for learning. Schools have been instructed by the DfE not to authorise holidays in term time. Reception children start at 8.45am. Nursery children start at 8.30am.

Absences If your child is absent from school please contact the school office. The telephone number is 0161 368 2166.

Snack and Lunchtime Snacks In line with our healthy eating policy, the children are provided with a piece of fruit and a drink of milk or water every day. We ask for a payment of ÂŁ4.00 per half term per child. There are 6 half terms in the year. This money is used t o cover t he cost of additional food and drink, for example for baking and for enhanced snacks which children have every week where we introduce them to different foods from mango to marmite.

Snack money should be paid during the first week of each half term. A Parent Pay account will be set up in order for you to do this. Children will not need to bring any additional snack or drink.

Lunchtime All Reception and KS1 children are entitled to free school meals.

The children are supervised at lunchtime by midday assistants and Year Six buddies.

Parental/Carer Involvement •We aim to provide the best quality education and care for your children in partnership with you as parents/carers.

•If you would like to be involved with any activities in school we welcome parental/carer support.

• If you would like any more information about supporting in school please speak to a member of the Foundation Stage staff .

Please note that for safeguarding and welfare requirements any person helping in school is required to be checked for their suitability to work with young children.

Meetings with parents Please feel free to talk to any member of staff regarding any issue concerning your child. We value and enjoy working in partnership with parents to support our children.

Parent consultations are held twice a year, when parents are invited into school to discuss their child’s progress.

You will receive a written report of progress at the end of the academic year.

Information Pack Data Information Sheets These are v ery important and we ask you to please ensure the data sheets are fully completed with contact numbers and addresses. Please do make sure that the office is notified immediately if any information changes - especially mobile telephone numbers.

Medical Information Any medical information will be treated confidentially. Please prov ide as much information about your child to help us to ensure your child’s needs are met.

If your child requires medicine during the school day a medicine administration consent form needs to be completed and signed by the Principle.

School Uniform School uniform can be bought directly from the ‘KIDS.STOP’ uniform shop in Hyde (0161 368 4500).

PLEASE ENSURE ALL ITEMS OF UNIFORM ARE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME. We make use of the outdoors every day! Wellingtons and a warm coat are required daily.
