The Team Purebred National Junior Show and the city of Springfield is a place that holds many core memories for many ofourTeamPurebredfamilies.Thisyeareveryoneracedtobea part of the Springfield 500 where we beat the HEAT with many popsicles and water fights. We started off the week strong with a quick load-in throughout Sunday night into Monday. Once everyone got settled in and started adjusting to the heat, we got everyone checked in and ready to race through the week with friends and fellowship. We finished up the night with an exciting barnyard olympics that ended with an epic water fight to cool off from the day! On Tuesday, the exhibitors revved up their engines to set the pace for the race ahead…starting with sweepstakes. Showmanship was first on the agenda and then exhibitors finished the afternoon racing through the rest of the contests. During all of that time, board members walked around selling raffle tickets for pro-air blowers, chairs, and more! That evening, everyone cooled off and enjoyed the SC Online Sales Volleyball tournament and pizza party that was put on by the candidates for the Junior Board. Wednesday morning we moved into a very competitive Gilt Show that ended with the Champion Drive where the champions raced through their final lap of the day. Thursday, the heat continued tobeturnedupoutsideandinsidetheringasweracedthrough the last day of the National Junior Show. Before kicking off the final lap of the barrow show, the Junior Board members that have been a part of Team Purebred for the last two years were thanked for their dedication to our organization and gave speeches about their time on the board and we raffled off our custom Team Purebred bar! After an awesome final lap for the barrows, the race concluded with Sweepstakes Awards. Team Purebred works hard to make sure everyone has the best experience no matter the outcome of the show. The Springfield 500isonewewillalwaysremember!
