A Story from a Spaceship Emery Preslar With a soft Crack the small shell on the ceiling crumbles open, revealing all of the goo held inside. A green slimy goo that smells strongly of sulfur. As the Green slime slides out of the shell Captain reaches up to touch it, I am not quite sure why. Possibly to feel the goo? Look at the shell? I can quickly tell something is wrong from the look that passes over his face as soon as his fingers come into contact with this snot-like substance. A glimpse of pain, but then a calmness. A terrifying calmness, as he looks at me straight in the eyes and reaches to lock the door. I lunge to stop his hand from hitting the switch, but to no avail. I flick my eyes from the now slimy, and dissipating lock, to him. Or should I say IT. There is a blankness to his eyes as he reaches for me. I start backing away, fumbling with the bright red button on my belt labeled H E L P. My finger finally closes around the beacon of safety, and I press it with all of my strength.
