Fantastical Dreams

I dreamt of giants

The ones bigger than houses.

Whose steps made me fly

And could squish me without batting an eye

So I dreamt of pixies

The ones that fit in my palm

The ones who jumped when I stepped

And oh, how I hated it when they wept

Instead, I was into a traveler,

The stars my guide.

I saw fields of gold,

And seas of copper.

But the stars don’t talk,

And the gold lost its shine.

I felt alone,

With no one by my side.

My last dream was of you,

With eyes that shined

And spoke a million words.

I didn’t need anymore.
