STORIES OF SAN MIGUEL "Enter to learn, leave to serve"
Easter, the greatest love story ever told by Roger Carter, President
"A young boy decided to go to the park. He took a couple of bottles of water and some chips to drink and eat as he sat on a bench.
At the park he noticed an elderly man
sitting across from him staring at some pigeons. The boy offered one of his waters to the older fellow.
The gift was surprising but very much appreciated.
offered his new friend some chips, too.
The boy also
Once again, the older gentleman expressed
thanks. The young boy was delighted. After a few minutes had passed the boy decided it was time to head home. He took a few steps away from the bench, then returned and gave the man a hug. The guy gave the boy a warm smile. When the boy got home, he told his mom, “I had lunch with God. He has the nicest smile I’ve ever seen.” The old man also returned to his home. He told his adult son, “I ate potato chips in the park with God today.
You know, he’s much younger than I
expected.” (From Tom Harrison 'Perceptions') My prayer for our San Miguel Community this Easter is the ability to give and accept love to and from all. After all, Easter does represent the greatest love story ever told. God’s Peace.
