OUR QUALIFICATIONS EXPLAINED
A-Levels:
A-Levels are perfect for students who want to pursue academic study in preparation for university, higher apprenticeships, or employment.
Single Vocational Courses:
Single Vocational Courses combine the academic rigor of traditional A-Levels with practical elements. Ideal for a mix of interests or career goals.
T-Levels:
T-Levels are developed with employers to meet industry needs, T-Levels prepare students for work, further study, or training.
Vocational Courses:

City Skills is a Centre of Excellence for construction and has an outstanding reputation for teaching students the skills needed for industry.

ECCLES SIXTH FORM COLLEGE INTRODUCTION TO
Eccles Sixth Form College is a Centre of Vocational Excellence, offering a range of vocational courses.

We are committed to providing a well-balanced and stimulating curriculum for all students, delivered by some of the very best teachers in the country. Our expert teaching staff, many with industry experience, ensure students progress successfully beyond sixth form college by supporting, challenging, and guiding them every step of the way.
Our state-of-the-art facilities, set within a spacious, green residential area, include a Football Association approved 4G AstroTurf pitch, an industrystandard gym, and a sports performance laboratory. We also boast one of the country’s most outstanding animal management centres, spanning over four acres and housing over 250 species, alongside nocturnal, small mammal, and aquarium rooms, as well as veterinary nursing suites and well-equipped laboratories.

FUTURESKILLS AT MEDIACITYUK INTRODUCTION TO

FutureSkills at MediaCityUK is a Centre of Excellence for Creative and Digital Courses.
Students are regularly given the opportunity to meet and speak to industry professionals, engage in work experience opportunities, live briefs, and community development projects. They also have access to state-of-the-art music, radio, TV and photography studios at FutureSkills.
Our teaching staff are kind, committed and want the best for their students. In addition to the development and acquisition of skills and knowledge, students are allocated a personal tutor who will support them across the year.

An apprenticeship is a job with training. It’s a real job with hands on experience and you will receive a contract of employment and get paid for your time at work and training.

Salford City College offers financial support for eligible students through the following bursaries:
1. Vulnerable Groups (VYP) Bursary
For students in care, care leavers, or those receiving Income Support, Universal Credit, DLA, or PIP.
Support includes:
• Up to £375 per year for uniform, kit, and trips.
• Up to £20 printer credit.
• Free college meals (up to £5.50/day).
• Travel support (bus pass or equivalent).
2. 16-19 Discretionary Bursary
For students with a household income below £55,000.
Support includes:
• Income under £35,000: Up to £375 for uniform/kit/trips, £20 printer credit, free meals, and travel support.
• Income under £45,000: Travel support (e.g., Our Pass, tram).
• Income under £55,000: Travel support (Our Pass).
STUDENT JOURNEY
Joining Salford City College Group is an exciting journey, filled with opportunities to explore, plan, and prepare for your future. From discovering what we offer to stepping through our doors on enrolment day, we’ll support you at every stage. Here’s how it all unfolds:
1. Enjoy our Open Events
Open Events are your chance to explore everything we offer, including our wide range of subjects. If you have questions, our friendly staff will be on hand to help.
2. Complete your Applications
Once you’ve decided on your subjects, apply online at www.salfordcc.ac.uk.
3. Attend a college interview and receive your college offer
After attending a college interview and reviewing your predicted grades, our Admissions Team will send you a conditional offer, subject to meeting our entry requirements.
4. Attend our Masterclasses
Starting in January, you’ll be invited to subject masterclasses, giving you the chance to experience the courses you’ve chosen and explore the content further.
5. New students day
In late June or early July, join us for New Students’ Day! Spend a day at college, meet your future classmates, and get a taste of college life.
6. GCSE Results & Enrolment
Once you have your results, attend your enrolment appointment at the college to finalize your place. You'll meet teachers, complete enrolment, and your parents/guardians are welcome to join.
