Paint Techniques

Come enjoy a fun and creative art class where we’ll explore a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques. Whether you're a beginner or have experience, this class offers something for everyone Each session will focus on a different medium such as acrylic painting, watercolor, ceramics, and more giving students the opportunity to experiment, express themselves, and develop new skills. Along the way, we’ll also learn about color theory, composition, and the unique properties of each material. Bring your imagination and get ready to create something beautiful in a relaxed, supportive environment!

Heather Connole, a self-taught Impressionist oil painter with 17 years of experience, creates colorful and joyful works. Her bold brush strokes bring movement to picturesque landscapes, portraits, animals, and flowers. Represented in various galleries, Heather also shares her passion by teaching art classes and inspiring confidence in her student

Great American Music

The Great American Music lecture series is a 6 part exploration of the notable names, locations, genre, and technological advances that shaped American popular music from genesis in the late 19th century up through the mid-20th century

Adam Melia is the “host” of Nashville Standard Presents. He has been a full-time professional musician for all of his adult life and currently performs over 400 live shows each year for over 120 various active adult and senior living communities in the northern Virginia area Adam grew up studying not only the music but also the stories behind the music of the vintage entertainment eras. Excited to convey these stories and songs to his audience, Adam’s enthusiasm is refreshing in a sincere and informative one-man show.

Endangered & Threatened Species

Through our animal ambassadors, we’ll learn what it means for a species to be endangered or threatened, understand the human and environmental impacts that put them at risk, and discuss how conservation efforts are making a difference.

Echoes Of Nature (EON) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to environmental education to help people of all ages better understand, appreciate, and care for wildlife and the natural environment Through multisensory teaching techniques, EON aims to connect communities to nature and to give individuals of all ages the information and skills needed to become better stewards of natural resources

Join our NeuroSound class to explore the healing power of music through rhythm, melody, and sound-based techniques designed to support mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

NeuroSound Music Therapy was originally founded in 2015 by Kelsi Tafaro as The Creative Arts Therapy Center. We served our community with music therapy services for 7 years and then expanded to provide additional creative art therapies in order to meet the growing need of our clientele. As our company has grown, we have moved into a beautiful clinic space in Fairfax, VA. Our center consists of a large reception area, 6 individual treatment rooms, a small-group therapy room, and a large-group therapy room We serve a variety of populations in the Northern Virginia area by partnering with many organizations in the community, including schools, nursing homes, mental health facilities, adult day care programs and medical facilities.

Lacey, a gentle and friendly therapy dog, has been bringing joy to residents at The Wellington for years alongside her devoted owner, Marianne. Their visits are filled with tail wags, comforting cuddles, and meaningful moments that brighten everyone's day Marianne and Lacey have become a cherished part of The Wellington community, offering the kind of warmth and companionship only a dog and her loving handler can provide.

Culinary Fusion: Blending Cultures
