TWINNING OF RC GJAKOVA-ÇABRATI AND RC SHKODRA

The twinning of Rotary Clubs fosters genuine cooperation between the two cities.

At the end of September 2022, these two sister cities, Gjakova and Shkodra, were officially twinned.

They are extremely similar to each other in many aspects such as intellectual, artistic, educational, and patriotic without leaving aside geographical and historical aspects and in particular the economic and cultural cooperation over the centuries.

Therefore, the twinning of our two cities was not only an honor to Shkodra and Gjakova, but to all Albanians wherever they are.

This twinning was initiated by the Rotarians of both cities, where in addition to the twinning of the cities, they also formalized the twinning of the respective Rotary clubs, RC Shkodra and RC Gjakova-Çabrati.

This success was marked with an evening of music from Shkodra and Gjakova, returning to the roots that make us feel proud of who we are, but also oblige and encourage us to preserve this heritage between generations, to work diligently for our community and raise values on the pedestal.
