“TREEOFKNOWLEDGE”PROJECT
Project by Rotary Club Tirana International
Rotary Club Tirana International hit the ground running this year with a legacy project – the Tree of Knowledge project aiming to support elementary schools in nearby communities. The first school served on this mission was Marie Kaçulini located in the city of Durres in collaboration with the school’s teacher Ms Aida Haxhiu.

The Club donated 21 tree-like bookshelves installed in each classroom and over 600 books of Albanian and world classic literature for children of ages between 6-11 years old. The books were selected from the list of approved children literature by the Ministry of Education. The project will likely be there to serve the school's community for generations to come.
RCTI aims to extend this project into other public schools and reach more students. It is a small gesture, but the impact has gone a long way from the feedback we get from teachers and students.
