Keeping Here Healthy Depends on You

Hello, Ridgeview friends!

Life and military service took me around the world, but no place has ever felt more like home than here. We’ve got it all – open spaces and close-knit vibes, winter fun and summer sun, back-forties and front yards. Living here is good for me and my family, as I hope it is for you and yours.

Typically, we’d have to make trade-offs to live in an area like ours, especially when it comes to accessing expert medical care. But not here, thanks to Ridgeview. Beyond the fresh air, room to roam, and lake living, Ridgeview’s hospitals and clinics heighten the well-being of the entire region. That’s why we need to Keep Here Healthy.

Keep Here Healthy is the rally cry to mobilize the entire community around preserving Ridgeview’s future in a forever-shifting health care landscape. Join me to Keep Here Healthy!

Rallying the Region to Protect One of Its Greatest Assets

There's no denying it, where we live matters to our health. Beyond having clean water, fresh air and open spaces, nearby access to expert medical care is vital to our well-being.

For those of us living in the seven southwest metro counties, we are incredibly blessed to have Ridgeview in our backyard.

And, we want to keep it that way. Keep Here Healthy highlights the importance of having health care close to home, the cost to do so and the generosity we depend upon to continue.

THE NEED

Ridgeview isn't a business. It's a non-profit organization chartered to make decisions in the community's favor, not shareholders, which benefits all of us. But that benefit comes with responsibility.

In an ever-challenging health care environment, Ridgeview's revenues alone aren’t enough to cover expenses and make needed upgrades. Donations are needed for Ridgeview to meet its financial commitments and advance the medical care it gives.

THE GOAL: SHARE THE LOAD

Help Keep Here Healthy by donating to Ridgeview. Your support ensures you and the entire region can continue to receive the health care you depend upon.

Because every gift, no matter the size, means spending less time in traffic and more time: healing at home, visiting loved ones in the hospital and saving lives.

RIDGEVIEW

IS NON-PROFIT.

Every dollar donated gets reinvested back into the organization.

1-2%

Ridgeview can only invest 1 to 2 percent of its net operating revenue back into facilities, services and lifesaving technology.

$3 MILLION

Because we’re non-profit, we rely on donations to provide a critical margin. This amounts to approximately $3M needed from philanthropy each year.

Generosity Matters

Proximity meant the difference between life and death for Matt Ropchak when his wife made the short drive to Ridgeview’s Two Twelve Medical Center.

Because of donations, Ridgeview was able to invest in the facility, equipment and team at Two Twelve Medical Center, ultimately impacting Matt’s care.

Finding Meaning in Giving

QA &

Why is supporting local health care important to you?

HANS SIEFKER AND FAMILY

Mr. Siefker is a Principal at Greiner Construction, one of our Corporate Partners.

One of the biggest reasons we chose to support Ridgeview is because all three of our kids were born there. It felt like a small but meaningful way to give back to an organization that’s been part of some of our most important moments. It’s also incredibly convenient to have such a high-quality health care partner right here in our backyard as we navigate everyday life.

DR. STOCKS AND WIFE, ROMA

Prior to retiring in 2019, I was part of Ridgeview for more than 30 years, starting as a clinic physician and later transitioning to the hospitalist program when it launched. Because I’ve seen first-hand what happens behind the walls, I know that every donation truly makes a difference. That’s why I believe so strongly in giving back.

Share a meaningful moment you’ve had with Ridgeview.

We also trust Ridgeview for my moms care. The attention, patience and compassion she receives from Ridgeview staff truly stands out. That kind of trust and confidence means everything to us.

Why is it important to keep care close to home?

Health care can often feel overwhelming, but having a trusted resource like Ridgeview makes all the difference. Their expertise and compassionate care help our community feel like a family.

This past summer, during Groovin’ on the Green, we learned the Foundation was just shy of its fundraising goal. We decided to push them across the finish line with a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) donation. For us, it wasn’t about the number. Instead, it was about knowing that our gift would help Ridgeview continue to provide exceptional care.

When care is close to home, it’s personal. You’re treated by people you know, who understand your needs and are committed to your well-being. Supporting Ridgeview ensures that level of trusted, high-quality care stays right here in our community for generations to come.

Join the Siefker and Stocks families in making a difference in our community. Donate today.

For more than 20 years, Mackenthun’s Fine Foods has been a proud corporate sponsor of Ridgeview Foundation. It’s a legacy of community support that spans generations.

“I was born and raised in Waconia, and I’m now a fifth-generation owner of Mackenthun’s,” shared Jessa Theis, whose grandfather, Marvin Mackenthun, was part of the original group that helped bring Ridgeview to its current Highway 5 location. “Ridgeview has always been a pillar of this community. I was born here, and years later, I had my boys here, too.”
