FROM THE FOUNDATION BOARD

The Importance of Supporting Local Health Care

Dear Ridgeview Community,

At Ridgeview, we believe exceptional health care means it is accessible to everyone in our community without unnecessary travel or delays. Ridgeview continues to provide the essential care our community needs, but as health care evolves, so do the needs of our patients. We believe in continuous improvement and evolution to provide the best for the community. The equipment we need, the training that is necessary and programs that our community depend upon are only possible because of donations. As a nonprofit, Ridgeview has a small profit margin each year that is reinvested back into the organization. But that margin does not allow us to sustain and grow. Ridgeview truly depends upon your support.

As a Ridgeview patient and community member, I know firsthand how important Ridgeview is to our community. I’m excited to serve as Ridgeview Foundation’s Board Chair and truly support this organization. Join me in making a difference. Your impact can be felt through donations, attending an upcoming event or spreading the word about the importance of supporting Ridgeview.

Care and Dignity From Beginning to End of Life

A SPECIAL DELIVERY

Mark and Taylor Struble’s Ridgeview journey began with heartbreak after experiencing a miscarriage. When Taylor’s second pregnancy became highrisk and required an early delivery at 35 weeks, Ridgeview’s Level III NICU was there to provide life-saving care for their son, Walker. With expert care and technology made possible by your generosity, Walker thrived, and the Strubles never had to leave their community for care. Their experience inspired them to give back to Ridgeview Foundation to ensure other families have access to the same exceptional care, close-to-home.

Watch Mark and Taylor’s story.

END-OF-LIFE CARE THAT’S LIKE NO OTHER

Thanks to Ridgeview Hospice, Ed Schumacher’s wish to spend his final days at home became a reality. For 15 months, Ridgeview Hospice provided aroundthe-clock care, ensuring he was comfortable, surrounded by love, and treated like the center of the universe. Through treatments like massage therapy and music therapy, the Ridgeview Hospice team became a second family, offering not just medical care but kindness and dignity in his final chapter.

Watch the Schumachers’ Ridgeview Hospice story.

Ridgeview depends upon the generosity of the community.

As a nonprofit health system, health advancements and being able to offer exceptional care is directly related to your generosity. We invite you to be a part of our mission to keep top-notch care in our community. Donate today.

Building a Healthier Future: Phase 3 Continues

Thanks to your generosity, the Cause for the Community campaign has been successful. Most recently, phase 3, which focused on mental health, has become a reality, providing crisis consults, telepsychiatry services and inpatient mental health support at all four Ridgeview Emergency Departments. And the full program opened in April. Now in its fourth year, the campaign continues to transform health care for the community.

This year, we added these areas of focus.

CARDIOLOGY

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, and Ridgeview is investing in the NAEOTOM Alpha® heart scanner, a revolutionary imaging system that provides more precise diagnoses with lower radiation exposure. This leads to earlier detection and better outcomes.

SPINE

Back pain and spinal conditions affect nearly one-third of adults, and many patients have had to travel outside the community for advanced spine surgeries. With donations, Ridgeview is equipping its facilities with navigation and robotic technology, allowing for minimally invasive procedures, shorter recovery times and improved patient outcomes.

CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITALS

Our Critical Access Hospitals are essential in providing care to rural communities. At the Ridgeview Le Sueur Campus, donor contributions will help bring back endoscopy services, enhance cancer screenings and expand rehabilitation therapy. Additionally, at the Ridgeview Arlington Campus, safety and security enhancements will ensure our patients, staff and visitors are safe.

Your generosity has already made an incredible impact, and with your ongoing support, Ridgeview can continue to offer the best care that is accessible for all. Join us in building a healthier future together.

Unique Reasons for Giving

FAMILY LEGACY OF GIVING

Watch how multiple programs at Ridgeview impacted the Kovaleski family.

The Kovaleski family has a deep-rooted commitment to giving back to Ridgeview, spanning four generations. Today, Tiffany Kovaleski, a dedicated Ridgeview Foundation Board member, and her family actively support Ridgeview through both giving and participation. Her high school-aged daughter, Talullah, lends a hand at Ridgeview Foundation’s annual golf event, and the family attends Pins for a Purpose and Under the Harvest Moon.

Their “why”? Ridgeview provided exceptional care when Great Grandma Gigi needed it the most.

WORKING AND GIVING FOR ONE CAUSE

Jason Mueller, a dedicated member of Ridgeview’s Materials Management team, plays a vital role in ensuring the Ridgeview Arlington Campus is fully stocked with the supplies needed to provide exceptional care. He donates to Ridgeview Foundation because he believes every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. His generosity and commitment reflect the power of collective giving in strengthening our mission.

Watch Jason’s story.

His “why”? Jason grew up in this community and deeply understands the importance of having quality health care near home.

INSTILLING A GIVING HEART

Each year, Callan and Grady Sawinski make a special visit to Ridgeview Foundation, continuing their tradition of giving back to the place where they were born. The boys donate gifts for Ridgeview’s Pediatric Program, bringing comfort to young patients during difficult times.

Hear from a Ridgeview pediatric patient how giving makes a difference.

Their “why”? Callan and Grady’s father Mick says, “I want to instill the desire to give back in my boys, and Ridgeview has been great to us over the years, starting when the boys were born.”

MOHR FAMILY CHARITABLE FUND

“Along with my son and daughter, we decided to make a donation because four years ago we lost my wife and their mother to Alzheimer’s disease. More recently, I spent over two weeks at the Ridgeview Le Sueur Campus rehabilitating from a broken back. We feel this community needs an up-todate facility, and we have every intention to continue our support to make that happen.”
