PHILANTHROPY: A WAY OF LIFE

Philanthropy isn’t just a buzzword for Tim Samuelson, Owner of Promotion Select. Instead, philanthropy is a way of life. His motto is “to whom much is given, much is expected,” which is why Tim and his wife, Julie, have made it a priority to give back to Ridgeview, an institution that has touched their lives and the lives of their family in profound ways.

Longstanding business leader

Tim is the heart and soul behind Promotion Select, a business that’s been thriving for a remarkable 25 years in our community, providing corporate branded merchandise to leading organizations across the country. He’s also a proud member of Ridgeview Foundation Board of Directors for the past three years and a member of the Corporate Partner program for the past 15 years.

For Tim, joining the Corporate Partner program was not just about business; it was a heartfelt calling. He passionately believes that success should be shared with the community that supports you. “It’s extremely rewarding and important to give back in our community,” Tim said. “We know and trust where those dollars are going.”

Ridgeview has been there for his family

Tim’s not just a business owner; he’s a pillar of his community, residing in the southwest suburbs for 35 years. That means his connection with Ridgeview runs deep and spans a range of health care services, from hospice care to cancer treatment and Women’s and Children’s services. He even

underwent a successful hip replacement surgery at Ridgeview and his daughter delivered his first grandchild at Ridgeview, further cementing his trust in their care.

For Tim, accessible, quality health care close to home isn’t just a convenience for his family; it’s also a lifeline for his employees. He firmly believes in keeping people healthy and making health care easily accessible for his team.

INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITY

Dave Wagner, President, at Inspired Technologies, has been a proud resident of our community for the past 59 years, and is a member of Ridgeview Foundation’s Le Sueur Committee for the past four years.

Just this past year, Dave increased his involvement with Ridgeview Foundation in meaningful ways. He joined our Corporate Partner program and hosted Ridgeview Foundation’s inaugural (and very popular!) Taste, Tunes & Taps celebration.

He firmly believes that successful businesses in the community should give back. With many of Dave’s family, friends and employees living within Ridgeview’s footprint, supporting health care in the community makes perfect sense. This is especially true as our community ages, and the demands for advanced health care increase.

Philanthropy is close to Dave’s heart, and Ridgeview’s mission resonates with his values. Not only is local philanthropy important to reduce our reliance on the government to supply our additional needs, but he stresses the importance of having quality health care accessible right in the neighborhood, making life easier for his family, employees and friends.

To fellow business leaders considering joining the Corporate Partner program, Dave offers some friendly advice: “It’s important to invest in worthwhile programs that not just benefit a few, but benefit the entire community and surrounding area.”

Someone you know will require health care and you will be elated that they have access to such quality and professional services and facilities in our community. We have all of that right here at Ridgeview, and I’m proud to support this through the Corporate Partner program.

Over the years, Ridgeview has been an important part of Dave’s life. “My grandmother and my parents were taken care of at Ridgeview, and my first-born child was delivered here,” said Dave.

“Family and friends have had numerous emergency situations and have trusted the care at Ridgeview over the last several decades. It’s comforting to know we have access to quality care so close.”
