In Dumaguete City the worst is not yet over even if there are moves by garbage people to focus on disposing residual wastes while the barangays handle bio-degradables and recyclables. Some barangays simply cannot do it for a number of reasons. For a long time now, the residents of Barangay Candau-ay which has been hosting the city dumpsite for many years have voiced impatience with the city administration for perceived delay over their plight.
