WELCOME

A TERM TO REMEMBER

Much of what we do at RGS revolves around creating meaningful and memorable experiences for our students, ensuring that sport is enjoyed by all, whether competing at the highest level or simply for the love of the game. Being part of Team Reigate means being part of something bigger than yourself and we hope that every student will have their moment to shine this summer.

As we look forward to the summer term we are excited for Cricket, Athletics and Tennis to take centre stage once again. However, there is plenty more to look forward to, with Sports Day on Friday 13 June set to be the highlight of the term. We warmly invite all to attend and fingers crossed, the weather will be as glorious as last year!

While the summer term is a crucial time for exams, I encourage all students to maintain a healthy balance between their studies and sport. This balance has contributed to their success over the months and years and it is important that we continue to support those who have been eagerly anticipating this term as their moment to shine. Our aim is to field strong teams throughout the summer, ensuring all students experience the thrill of competition and the joy of being part of Team Reigate.

I look forward to seeing you on the sidelines in the weeks aheadlet’s make this a term to remember!

Purpose: Sport will have a meaningful and memorable effect on the life of every student

Engagement : To ignite a passion for sport or physical activity in everyone that lasts a lifetime

Opportunity : Opportunities to sample and then to stretch all students in sport

Performance: Being the best you can beperformance is always what matters, not the result

Learner-Centred : Being learner-centred means putting the student first

Enjoyment : An unrelenting focus on positive experiences for all children and young people

CELEBRATING SUCCESS

Sport at RGS continues to evolve, with increasing emphasis on our vision to develop Great People Through Sport . This year our students have once again excelled on both national and international stages:

• National Finalists in Cross Country, Gymnastics and Equestrian;

• International recognition for students in Netball with one of our leavers from last year selected for the Pro Surrey Cricket tour to Dubai;

• Outstanding Swimming performances at the Surrey Swimming Relays, securing eight top-five finishes;

• Golfing excellence - RGS is home to 12 Category A golfers and competing nationally for silverware as one of the strongest teams in the region;

• Elite Rugby and Hockey experiences - students playing at the StoneX Stadium and competing alongside seven international players at Hartswood;

• Prestigious Football opportunities with players taking to the pitch at Chelsea’s famous Cobham training ground;

• Upcoming 350 event where golfers will play on Open Championship courses.

Adding to our excitement, our Head of Hockey Development returns this term as the victorious Captain of the Men’s Scotland Hockey Team following their triumph in the League of Nations Cup in Oman. This invaluable experience will undoubtedly inspire and elevate our students’ Hockey journey.

SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

Keep up to date with RGS Sport via the Weekly Sports Bulletin, published each Friday in the Headmaster’s bulletin.

We would love to hear about and celebrate your child’s sporting achievements. If you have a story you wish to share with us, please get in touch via: bulletin@reigategrammar.org or gjb@reigategrammar.org

CORE SPORTS

We encourage all students to head outdoors for sport in the summer term for Games. Our Senior programme is as diverse as ever with the reintroduction of sailing as well as climbing and trail running for those that wish to try something new. The traditional sports of Athletics, Tennis and Cricket will run as the key sports during Lower School Games sessions.

Hockey

Our partnership with Reigate Priory Hockey club gives students a chance to play additional hockey locally and our new partnership with top Premiership club Holcombe allows us to bring outstanding coaching talent to RGS on a daily basis. With four current internationals coaching on every session it is no surprise that we are competing to win regional and national honours.

Rugby

With four RFU Level 3 coaches on the staff at RGS the school is as well-resourced with top coaches as any in the region. The school delivers fantastic opportunities to students with annual Senior pre-season tours to Birmingham University, biannual Junior tours to Spain and France and a major Senior sports tour to South Africa every three years.

Netball

We congratulate one of our senior students for her selection in a national side. We have worked hard to facilitate 28 teams across all age groups providing sporting opportunities to all who wish to be competitive. Students have competed in local and national tournaments since September and continue to develop skill and confidence on the court.

Swimming

We welcome Mr Maxwell as our new Head of Swimming. He arrived straight from Paris 2024 where he had spent the Olympic cycle with the British Swimming team. He has brought new impetus to the programme and a sponsorship deal with elite swimming brand ARENA. Our senior girls have won the Surrey

Football

With RGS Hartswood operating as the training base for Dorking Wanderers 1st XI we now enjoy top quality coaching across our Football programme. Football is part of the games curriculum from First Form, and our new Head of Football, Mr Hoad has already secured exhibition matches at Cobham (Chelsea’s training base) and has scheduled national and international tours for our boys' and girls' teams.

Golf

Ben Rutland’s leadership of this core sport has brought continued success both in performance golf and the numbers participating. We now have twelve category one players who regularly compete for national honours and an ever increasing base with 80 RGS golfers overall. Golf can be played all year round at RGS and our partnership with Reigate Hill GC is strengthening year on year. RGS Golf Professional Mollie Moore continues to develop players and we are seeing significant additions to the golf programme in the next year.

Cricket

Our restructured cricket setup means we have a wealth of coaching expertise. Leading the programme we have Miss Pout, a Surrey Cricket 1st XI coach who will run the summer programme this year before RGS’s newly appointed Director of Cricket Darryl Rebbetts joins the team. Miss Pout will become assistant Director of Cricket and will work closely with our top coaches Miss Gordon (Kent CCC and ex-Surrey CCC) and Ollie Raynor (ex-Middlesex Professional Player). We also have Surrey Women’s player Emily Burke and Surrey Age Group player Tommy Bates

There is much more sport to discuss without the space to do so here.

Please see the Spring 2025 Pilgrim Review for a full review of everything. Please also follow the Sport updates in the Headmaster’s Bulletin with a dedicated section each week.

ETHOS OF SPORT

We are looking forward to welcoming back students for the summer and have an exciting term of sport about to get underway with many Cricket, Athletics and Tennis fixtures going on as well as our usual co-curricular programme of sport. One of the highlights of the sporting calendar will be Sports Day, scheduled for Friday 13 June. More information will follow on this soon. In the meantime, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight a few key parts of our programme.

At RGS, we strongly believe in the power of sport to develop students into the best versions of themselves. Indeed, our vision is to develop great people through sport in a selfless, supportive and values-based environment where students strive to be involved in something bigger than themselves. We want to nurture risk-taking, determination, authenticity, selflessness and adaptability in all as this is how we believe we will enable students to flourish. The score always comes second to the performance and we rarely talk about results. I thought it would be useful to outline a few key things that you might see as you watch students play as we strive to deliver a modern approach to coaching sport in schools.

This term you will continue to see:

• Students taking responsibility for their own warm-ups where possible to enhance leadership and organisation;

• Students making decisions themselves through collaboration with team-mates to encourage self-sufficiency and to develop creative problem solvers (this is often after guidance from teachers during training sessions);

• Teachers are unlikely to be shouting from the side lines. It is important to us that students learn during the game through their reflection and through the support of their peers. You will reduced feedback from the side lines as students age;

• The best players will not necessarily have more important roles than others. We want everyone to develop and therefore we must share opportunities with all.

• Our intention is to create an environment where everyone on the pitch has a great experience, both from RGS and our opposition. We want competitive games where the result hangs in the balance until as late as possible. This keeps students engaged and enjoying sport as the perception of competence is important to all. We put collaboration with opposition above competition against opposition.

We love watching students succeed and often winning a narrowly contested game brings smiles and excitement. But we need to remember that sport is not a zero-sum game where there must always be a winner and a loser. It is our intention to restructure the way we think about sport so that we can create opportunities for all to have a great experience. This way the score simply takes care of itself.

I would be extremely grateful if you could continue to support us and your pupils in their sporting journeys by reinforcing these points, among many others that you will pick up on as your child moves through their years at RGS.

HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORT

Enabling our pupils to aspire to be the best they can be, irrespective of their starting point and with a longterm view of success, is fundamental to our vision for sport. As part of this experience and to supplement the excellent coaching during games and after school sessions, the HighPerformance Hub provides access to experiences and performance habits that are designed to support and challenge in equal measure.

The High-Performance Hub has continued to be a thread that many of our pupils use to support their sporting development. Pupils within our High Potential or High Performing groups have been meeting with their staff mentors, 1-1 athletic development sessions have been taking effect, and our younger pupils (in particular) have been taking advantage of the wealth of opportunities to develop their athleticism before and after school, laying the foundations for great movement and engagement in sport as they move through the school. These varied experiences have prompted conversations and interventions across pupils and staff and we look forward

to further opportunities through the spring and summer terms. This focus on holistic development and Great People Through Sport has underpinned the approach throughout.

For our senior male and female cricket scholars and our high-performance indoor hockey squads, there have been weekly (or more often!) sessions throughout the off season to enable them to prepare for the upcoming competitive phases of their respective programmes. These have been well attended and allowed our coaches to provide an individualised and bespoke programme of development. We look forward to seeing these sessions take effect as we move into the competitive season.

ENGAGEMENT SPORT

We understand that students join RGS with different sporting experiences, abilities and strengths. Embracing our vision for sports, our promise to Team Reigate is to always offer a diverse range of sports and activities, making it enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Engagement at RGS has four main pillars within sport and PE:

• Fixtures and Competitions

• After School Sports Clubs

• PE Lessons

• Games Lessons

We have enhanced student engagement in activities across all year groups. Initiatives have been implemented to increase participation and provide diverse sporting opportunities which have been met with enthusiasm from students and staff alike.

Mobile Climbing Wall

A state-of-the-art climbing wall has been introduced as part of Sixth Form games. This will feature prominently in the cocurricular programme offering a challenging new activity that promotes teamwork, problem-solving and fitness.

Touch Rugby Festivals

We have partnered with local schools to create a competitive framework for our touch-rugby teams. This term we are proud to field two teams each in the U12-U14 boys’ age groups, fostering teamwork, increased competitive opportunities and skill development. Touch-rugby will remain a feature in the summer as we continue our involvement

in the Touch to Twickenham programme. These initiatives provide students with opportunities to compete at a high level while promoting teamwork and inclusivity.

Senior House Sports Success

The Senior House Sports competition was moved to the start of term to help new Sixth Form students integrate into their Houses and experience the breadth of our Sports programme from the outset. The initiative proved highly successful, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie early on. It also encouraged some who had previously stepped away from Saturday team sports to re-engage resulting in increased participation and more teams representing the school. This shift highlights the impact of RGS’ community-focused initiatives on student involvement in sports.

PE and Games Lessons

PE and Games lessons are the foundational blocks and the cornerstone of our engagement approach, they serve as the entry point for all students to connect with sports at RGS. We have embedded a pupil-driven pathway in PE, allowing students from the Third to Fifth Form to choose their intensity level using a chilli heat scale. This innovation has resulted in increased focus, elevated activity levels, and empowered students to have greater control over their PE.

While our games programme follows a traditional model offering team sports to all, our commitment to diversity extends the programme to include individual and contemporary sports. As students progress to the Sixth Form, the programme becomes entirely student-driven, enabling them to select their preferred sport or activity. The Summer 2025 Sixth Form games options include both traditional team sports like hockey, netball, football, and rugby 7s, as well as individual sports such as golf, squash, and mountain biking. We actively collaborate with our students to ensure their preferences are met, proudly incorporating activities like yoga, dance, open fitness sessions, and spin bike classes based on valuable feedback gathered from student voice sessions.

After School Clubs and Fixtures/ Competitions

Our after-school clubs and activities programme continues from where our games programme stops, we now offer over 60 weekly sports clubs where students can further develop their passion in sport and physical activities. We acknowledge that many students want to participate in competitive sport and we encourage all our students to represent RGS in their time here. We arrange fixtures and competitions within our house community as well as with local schools to allow our students to showcase their skills.

CRICKET

The cricket programme transitions into the phases of competition following an increased focus on physical preparation in the autumn and technical preparation throughout the spring term.

THE CRICKETER SCHOOLS GUIDE 2025

We are delighted to announce that RGS has been included in the annual The Cricketer Schools Guide 2025 for their 10th anniversary of publishing. The Cricketer’s Schools Guide features the top 100 senior, the top 50 prep/junior and the top 20 allgirls schools in a bumper 164-page supplement. It follows an exhaustive process that saw many schools submitting entries. All entries have been judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.

Girls and Boys

All fixtures, both midweek and Saturday blocks, including cup fixtures have been scheduled and updated on SOCs.

As outlined previously, we are delighted to have Amy Gordon and Ollie Rayner continuing to work with the students this year.

Both boys and girls are entered into every Surrey Schools Association County Cup, where the U14 girls reached the final last season – still to be played vs Kingston Grammar School! The U18 and U15 girls are also entered into the Cricket Paper 100 ball competitions, which is an exciting opportunity for the girls! Where the 1st XI Boys have been entered into the HMC Cup.

Tours

The U13 boys and U14/U15 girls travel to Jersey at the start of May Half Term this year, for an exciting opportunity for them to play different teams and explore Jersey.

The Senior Boys will be heading to Dubai in February 2026, for an excellent opportunity to explore a different culture, and to play against local teams out there. It bids to be a great success!

Both the Senior Boys and Girls are travelling to Blundells and Pocklington respectfully to participate in the July Festival, which had great success at Senior Boys level last year.

ATHLETICS

We are excited to be back on the track and in the field this summer term, launching a dynamic Athletics season with opportunities for all students - from beginners to performance athletes - to get involved, improve, and compete!

Athletics Club will run after school at Hartswood every Monday and Wednesday. Open to all ages and abilities, these sessions give students the chance to practise a wide range of track and field events, including sprints, distance running, hurdles, jumps, throws, and relays. Athletes are encouraged to bring spikes to both Athletics Games lessons and after-school club sessions.

Girls’ and boys’ teams will compete in their District Championships - the first step on the individual performance pathway. For Third Form and above, strong results could lead to selection for the prestigious ESAA Inter-Counties Championships on 7 June at Kingsmeadow, and potentially for Surrey at the English Schools’ National Championships on 11–12 July. District performances also contribute to overall RGS team standings.

Junior and Intermediate boys’ and girls’ teams are entered into the ESAA Track and Field Cup, one of the most exciting team competitions in the athletics calendar. The county round is set for the second week of May (date to be confirmed). Junior teams will combine First and Second Form athletes, while Intermediate teams will include Third and Fourth Form. Each athlete will compete in two events, a combination of track, field, or relay.

Points from individual performances create the team total, with top teams progressing to the Regional Finals in June and Nationals in July. This event showcases the team spirit and versatility of our athletes, don’t be surprised to see a 1500m runner stepping into the discus circle or a javelin thrower racing a relay leg, as we aim to maximise points.

Alongside these championships, we look forward to friendly school fixtures, giving students further opportunities to compete and represent RGS.

We are also keen to support our all-rounders interested in multievents competitions. The ESAA Combined Events Regional Finals will take place on 28–29 June, with the National Finals following on 20–21 September.

School Sports Day is on 13 June, and we hope all students will take part in a day of fun, friendly competition, and athletic celebration at Hartswood.

Please also keep us updated on any athletics achievements outside of school, whether at club, county, or national level as we love to celebrate our students’ successes and can help submit performances for external selections if applicable.

GOLF

As we head into a new term of school sport, the golf programme at RGS continues to thrive, offering students of all abilities the chance to develop their skills and compete at the highest level. With over 100 active golfers in our programme including twelve single-figure handicappers across both the boys’ and girls’ squads, our players are making significant strides on the course. Our top category 1 golfers are regularly competing for national honours, showcasing the strength of our pathway.

This summer brings an exciting schedule of competitions, providing our players with fantastic opportunities to test themselves against the best. Key events include:

• The HG Trophy at The Warwickshire - a premier fixture in our calendar;

• The Junior Stableford at Sunningdale Heath GC - a fantastic challenge for our younger golfers;

• The Junior Scratch at Drayton Park - a chance for our players to showcase their skills in a pure stroke play format;

• The Surrey Championships at Banstead Downs - a prestigious county event where our golfers will compete against the region’s finest.

We continue to strengthen our partnerships with exciting developments in the pipeline. Our growing relationship with Reigate Hill Golf Club is providing additional training and competitive opportunities for our students. A key figure in our programme is RGS Golf pro Molly Moore who works with students from age 8 through to 18, ensuring a strong foundation for all levels of ability.

Whether you’re a beginner looking to get involved or a competitive golfer aiming for honours, this term promises to be an exciting one. We look forward to seeing our players flourish on the fairways!

TENNIS

Tennis at RGS continues to go from strength to strength. While the summer term marks the official start of the tennis season, students in the Third, Fourth and Fifth Forms have been able to choose tennis year-round as a games option. Many have benefited from expert coaching at Reigate Priory Lawn Tennis Club (RPLTC), where they have honed their skills under the guidance of their professional coaching team. It has been fantastic to see their dedication and progress.

We are excited to further strengthen our partnership with RPLTC which now offers a more structured year-round programme. Students receive high-quality coaching from lead coaches Russell and Josh along with their team of professionals. They also enjoy access to RPLTC’s grass and clay courts, complementing our newly resurfaced hard courts on the MUGA. The RPLTC team will continue to support our games and after-school provision during the summer term, helping to stretch and challenge our players.

Students from Second Form upwards can choose tennis as a games option and all year groups have a dedicated after-school training night, either on the MUGA or at Hartswood.

Our tennis squads enjoy a competitive and challenging fixture circuit, with both boys’ and girls’ teams entered into:

• Surrey Schools Tennis League

• Surrey Festival (a real highlight!)

• Saturday friendly fixtures

Last year, we celebrated a fantastic achievement in the LTA Team Tennis competition, with our U15 boys winning their local leaguea testament to their teamwork and Reigatian values.

For students who enjoy multiple sports, we encourage them to balance tennis with other commitments. Where possible, league fixtures will take place after school on weekdays to avoid clashes with other activities.

We look forward to an exciting summer of tennis at RGS!

SWIMMING

As we approach the final stretch of the school swimming season, the summer period offers an excellent opportunity for students to refine their skills and enhance their fitness. Regular sessions will continue throughout the term on Tuesday and Friday mornings, Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes and Wednesday and Friday after school. Additionally, Fifth and Sixth Form students will have the option to select swimming as part of their games programme. Students will also have the opportunity to try water polo, a fun and challenging sport that enhances swimming strength and confidence. These sessions are not only valuable for dedicated swimmers but also provide a great way for students involved in autumn and spring term sports to maintain and improve their fitness ahead of preseason preparations.

The summer term promises exciting developments for swimming, with tours and swim camps on the horizon, alongside a revamp of the swimming kit. These initiatives will pave the way for an even stronger start to the new academic year.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

Strength and conditioning plays a vital role in athletic development and the summer period is the perfect time for students to build a solid foundation in training. Morning sessions will run every day, providing a structured opportunity for students to learn and develop the fundamental principles of strength training in a gym environment.

These sessions are tailored for all levels and abilities, ensuring that every student can progress at their own pace with expert coaching always available for guidance. Alongside improving overall athletic performance, movement quality, strength, power and endurance, students will also have the opportunity to develop key skills such as Olympic weightlifting and other advanced training techniques.

Strength and conditioning is also available as a games option for Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Form students, giving them the chance to incorporate structured training into their weekly schedule. Whether looking to gain a competitive edge in sport or simply enhance physical fitness, these sessions offer an excellent platform for progression.

CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMME (SUMMER 2025)

CORE SPORTS

Our Co-Curricular programme is extensive. It is not an expectation for students to attend all sessions! Indeed, we emphasise the importance of balance and rest. Students should be doing no more per week than their age in years as hours of participation (11 hours total for an 11-year-old - including all sport, not just school). They should also all have at least one day off completely. If the student is in doubt about what their sport loading should look like they should consult a member of the PE department for advice. Please also note that non-attendance for a good, pre-agreed reason will not affect selection for teams.

For a full list of all Specialist Sports and Additional Sports please consult SOCS via the school website

 Reigate Grammar School Sport

GAMES

Games sessions are on weekday afternoons during Periods 6 and 7. The sports played during the summer term are highlighted below. It is important to note that if you wish to play a different sport you can do so during our extensive extracurricular programme. In curriculum games time, we ensure that the students experience a range of sports, with more choice evolving as the students get older and begin to select their preferred sports.

HIGH PERFORMANCE HUB

The High-Performance Hub (HPH) is a programme of talks, seminars, workshops and events that aim to engage students, inspire them and support their learning and performance.

“High Performance is simply being the best you can be.”

The hub will focus on developing an awareness of skills in specific areas that link to High Performance. These will all be designed to support our key aims as a department. For us, sport is the vehicle we use to help develop great PEOPLE.

How does the High-Performance Hub link to the Scholarship programme?

The High-Performance Hub (HPH) is fully inclusive and is open to all. The Hub supports anyone to achieve their potential, including Sport Scholars.

The Sport Scholarship programme is designed to support students who have been identified as having high sporting potential. These students are likely to attend many of the events and activities in the Hub. However, being a scholar includes a more managed process where students will be mentored and supported on an individual basis to meet their sporting targets. It would be an expectation of scholars to attend certain HPH activities and events.

High Performance Hub talks currently take place each Monday at 1.30pm in HC11- full list of topics is listed on the Sports Scholars Team.

What kind of events would the Hub feature?

We hope to use the Hub to develop: personal skills, such as reflection, organisation and time planning; psychological skills, such as grit and resilience, stress management techniques and visualisation; physical and health, such as, athletic development, strength and conditioning and the importance of sleep and recovery, and many more.

Can parents be involved?

Yes! We would like to invite parents to some of our talks and activities. These may be at school or on a digital platform like Microsoft Teams. You will be specifically invited to join your son or daughter for special events and so there is no need to contact school about these prior to the invitation.

How can I help?

If you know anyone who may be interested in speaking to our Reigatian community, please do pass on my details. We would be very pleased to hear from anyone who can offer an insight into any aspects of a High-Performance life. For more information, please contact Mr Browning at gjb@reigategrammar.org.

RGS FIXTURES

Playing sport for the school and wearing the RGS badge is a huge part of the school’s ethos and a privilege which we hope students both honour and respect. We play fixtures during the week and large block fixtures on Saturdays. On rare occasions, there may also be competitions on Sundays. The majority of fixtures will take place in the mornings, but with travel time included, these often take a large part of the day. If selected, students are required to attend the fixture, and it is our aim to make it one of the highlights of their week. We pledge to select all students who wish to play as often as we can and thus have as many teams per year group as staffing and facility availability allow. Should any student be unavailable for a fixture, they must give as much notice as possible, preferably more than a week in advance. This request for absence should be directed to the team coach so that they can keep track of who is available to play. Whilst we understand there can be exceptional circumstances, we recognise four key reasons for requesting an absence from a fixture:

1. Regional or national representation (or equivalent)

2. Illness or injury

3. Serious family matter (for example a wedding or a funeral)

4. Required attendance at another school event or detention.

Match days

Information regarding match days can be found on the sports website . Students are expected to attend match day teas both home and away unless they have informed their coach this is not possible well in advance. Students should also consider the meet time to be the latest time of arrival. As a general rule, students should arrive for home games in playing kit with school tracksuit and hooded sweatshirt over the top. They should also attend match tea in their tracksuit and avoid attending in muddy/wet kit. Often when travelling away, we will travel in school uniform, but again it is important to check the fixture details well in advance. We warmly welcome visitors to school fixtures; in fact, we believe it enhances the experience of the students. Please support the students, helping us to set a great example for them to follow.

Behavioural Expectations

We encourage the highest standards of behaviour from staff, students, and supporters based on our desire to develop great people through sport. We would like all involved in RGS sport to have only positive interactions with match officials, opposition staff, and opposition players, and that our conduct in and around the sports field reflects the values we hold dear as both a school and sports department.

Health and Safety

First aid trained staff are present at fixtures and on games sessions. Additionally, a medical team or physiotherapists will be present at weekend fixtures. We have a reciprocal relationship with most of the schools we play, where the home team provides trained medical cover for all. We use Return 2 Play to support our medical provision focusing on concussion management.

Mouthguards are essential for hockey and contact rugby. Shin pads should also be used for all hockey and football training as well as fixtures.

Sporting Achievements

We would love to hear about and celebrate, any sporting achievements your child has had recently. If you do have a story you wish to share, please let your child’s form tutor know and they will pass the information on to the PE department.

FURTHER INFORMATION

COMMUNICATING WITH PE AND SPORT STAFF

We encourage face-to-face discussions where possible and ask students to find the relevant member of staff in school. If this is not possible, a Microsoft Teams message to the appropriate member of staff is preferred. During term time, you can find all information regarding the fixture programme and team selection on our sports website and we endeavour to get the information up as early as possible to allow for forward planning, recognising that weekends and evenings can get very congested. On some platforms, you may be required to sign in using the password: TeamReigate7.

If parents need to get in touch with a member of staff to discuss a matter, we ask that an email be sent directly to the relevant team coach or the head of that specific sport as far in advance as possible. For unforeseen events such as illness, an email to the relevant head of sport is greatly appreciated.

Support

Thank you again for your support of sport and physical activity at RGS and for your encouragement to all students to be fully involved in the development of their own health and fitness. We believe it is a truly unique part of school life where the emphasis is so clearly on developing positive life-long habits.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues for their time and effort in supporting all of the co-curricular opportunities available at RGS. In addition to 70 weekly clubs, sport staff will be away leading sports domestic tours to Birmingham and Exeter and international tours to Jersey, Spain and France over the coming months.

I look forward to seeing you on the touchlines soon.
