Revitalise is the largest provider of respite holidays for disabled people and carers in the UK, offering truly revitalising holiday experiences for over 60 years. There are two Revitalise centres, each providing a wide range of accessible activities and lots of fun for guests and volunteers alike, with exciting excursions, great evening entertainment and a brilliant atmosphere.
Volunteers form a crucial part of the Revitalise team, providing companionship and support to our guests during their holiday. Many of our guests tell us that volunteers are the magic ingredient in their stay with us. We are dedicated to making sure that each and every guest has the break they need, and we couldn’t achieve that without our wonderful volunteers.
Our roles are residential with volunteers staying any length of time — from one week up to a year!
Social volunteers provide support which includes chatting with guests at meal-times, enjoying the evening entertainment with guests and accompanying them on daily excursions alongside our staff. Friendly, enthusiastic volunteers create the holiday atmosphere just by being there!
Care support volunteers
are with us for 3 weeks or longer and choose to receive training in aspects of healthcare and learn how to provide a higher level of care to our guests. No previous experience is necessary but this role is perfect for anyone wanting to gain experience in healthcare.
