Revitalise is a leading UK provider of breaks and holidays for disabled people and carers across three purpose-built centres. We create lasting experiences that stay with our guests long after they return home and we campaign for equal access to breaks and holidays.
Disability affects us all, two-thirds of UK adults can expect to become an unpaid carer during their lifetime, highlighting the importance of respite breaks for the majority of the UK adult population.
Each year we help thousands of disabled people and carers take much needed respite breaks, and with your help, there are thousands more we could support.
Revitalise began 60 years ago, and through six decades of growth has become the vibrant, innovative, revitalising charity of today. Our vision is to create a society in which every disabled person and carer is able to take the break or holiday they want. We firmly believe that disabled people should have the same rights, freedom, responsibilities and quality of life as those without disabilities.
‘Sixty for 60 Challenge’
To celebrate our 60th anniversary, we’ve come up with 60 ideas to inspire your fundraising and get the ball rolling. All the money you raise will go towards changing the lives of those who need it most, so whether it’s as simple as a coffee morning with colleagues, or a fashion show with friends, we’d love for you to get involved.
Why not challenge yourself this year and help us reach another 60 years! Offering disabled people and carers a holiday they want no matter the disability.
We are here to get you started contact us fundraising@revitalise.org.uk
“My husband had a nice break and knew I was in safe hands. We had quality time together and could be man and wife. Disability didn’t matter. The break made me feel alive and less alone.”
